  2. I just bought some bars rear main and crank shaft seal stuff. We will see how it goes. Sometimes the idle will be lower if I start it warm. But it's like something kicks in and it the idle pick back up.
  3. Lol. For the oil? I'm taking it to Nissan in a few months for the running thing if I havwnt figured it out by then.
  4. YOu got auto hubs? or manual hubs? If you need to, our trucks are shift on the fly into 4 hi only. leave your manuals locked in on the road (truck NOT in 4wd) until you feel you need it I.E, start slipping or sliding. or if you have autos, drive a few feet for ward in 4hi and then take it out, your hubs will already be locked in until you reverse a few feet. then you can still easily shift on the fly without fear of the hubs grinding or getting stuck and them not locking in.
  5. Use the 4wd when you need it.....? Driving around all the time in 4wd is not good for things. Seems like you need to go AWD if that's what you want to do. But people run 3" suspension lifts all the tiem with no binding, do your cv's click when turning off road? How are the boots?
  6. Why are you driving on drivepavement in 4wheel drive!? Things will pull, and it will feel "weird". As long as nothing binds or rachets off road, its fine...

  10. Dumped about 2 quarts of oil into it, after discovering i have a RMS leak. Idk how long its been bad, but it needed a little over 2qts.
  11. New distributor is installed already. Now the only isusses im battling are as follows: High idle, surging on startup. Idle about 1400 rpm. alternator whine (i can HEAR the alternator in the engine bay. Clunk on road bumps or when i hit the brakes. i know i have a loose inner tie rod end drivers side. (okay not loose, worn?) RMS leak... Just dumped about two quarts into it. if anyone has any idea's on 1 & 3, i'm all ears. Only thing i haven't checked/cleaned is the IACV (i dont want to remove the intake.... ) nor do i know what all has to come undone.
  12. Got a new muffler installed with 2.5" piping out the back. Magnaflow clone. Now I just need headers and high flow cats. Not sure how that works with a car50 and dual cats? If the cats are after the oxygen sensors I'll just get rid of them.
  13. 94-95 round dashes have a spot for a Dual DIN Afaik, the controls on the back of the heater won't reach. i couldn't even pull the auto climate out without unplugging everything. And the manual controls have "arms" that connect to the back. not sure how one would move those.
  14. take it to oreilly (or napa, or?) and borrow their tester. oreilly around here just requests that you give them your license and you test it in the parking lot. that will tell you where the light is coming from.
  15. Installed a new ground cable from the battery to the alternator bracket. (terminal connector was cracked, and i figured id just replace the whole) seing if that caused any of my problems i've been having. Nope. Adjusted my tps, idle went down slightly. BUt still surges on a start most of the time. And i still get pulsation during accel.... To the shop it goes!
  16. I give..... It's going to a shop or the nissan dealer (i think they want 100$ to look at it iirc) when i get paid tuesday.... I don't have the ability to hook it up to anything, and i've done lost my patience with it. It wins.

  18. SO far i've changed distributor, cap, rotor, and wires with known good working units. New plugs. Cleaned tb. and checkd for vacuum leaks, and the egr seems fine. ... if i could afford to change all the sensor i could think of i'd do it.
  19. Well, so far its gotten a total audio system rebuild. New "used" vg33er distributor cap and rotor. But still haven't figured out the pulsation/fluctuation. And i took it on a little adventure. My hitch acted as an anchor at one point and i almost got stranded. lol. I dug some earth out as i bashed around. damn low ground clearance!
  20. Do not put gl-5 fluid in a Nissan trans. I woildnt even run gl4 compatible gl5 fluid. Gl4 only..
  21. Pintle... The iacv is on the back of the manifold. Unless theres a vacuum line I missed.
  22. i didn't clean the iacv?? not even sure which part that is. i'd look it up, but it appears nicoclub doesn't offer the fsm online anymore. and didn't have a reason to down load the fsm for a 98 back then lol. ill see if i can find a pic. but anyway, i just cleaned the TB and sealed the intake to hard tube boot.
