  1. Contemplated trading it for a wd21 5 speed. But I can't do it again.
  2. Is it just me, or does anyone else find the v-30 slightly funny? Took mine out and about for the first time in at least a month. Miss it oh so much! And it appears my LSD is working better randomly. Turned full lock in some sloppy mud and both tires spun.... usually wouldn't do that. Still all the same clunks, rattles, squeaks, and brake noises. Meh. This is why i spent a couple hundred on my stereo i guess.
  3. You won't noticed any mpg change, since the wd21 cv's don't spin unless the hubs are locked in. But an r50 will. Secondly, your auto hubs shouldn't have been slipping at all, they lock, or don't lock, or one locks and one does and then you don't have 4wd. haha. Should have been able to do the same stuff (climb stumps?) as you did before, just without having to worry about the auto hubs not locking, or breaking.
  4. I'm just curious, but do YOU know what grammar/ punctuation is?
  5. better off getting one from a '96-'99. the wd21 pathfinder's are different shaped and it won't fit right.
  6. I swear this is the sound I'm getting from my front passenger side... But it's a brand new axle.
  7. to change the front main? or the rear main? front main you have to take all off the pulley's timing belt, tensioner, and harmonic balancer off. and the front main seal should be right under... maybe something else? it's all coming fuzzy to me, but i didnt have to drop the pan.
  8. sorry, when i think of getting wheels i think of old wheels. My bad.
  9. chevy, toyota, and nissan wheels with 6 lugs are all the same. and jeep wagoneer wheels should be as well.
  10. could be one or the other has been out for a while and you just haven't noticed, especially high beams.
  11. I see that Towncivilian posted the correct link, but the original post's link no longer works as it's for the old site... ipbhost or whatever.
  12. wd21 pathfinders in the US just use the driveshaft to actuate the internal parts of the differential. they is a breather hose, but its nothing more than that. if the cv's aren't turning. Something is messed up. or you have an unknown style differential in your rig. lol.
  13. sounds like your front diff is messed up if the frnt drive shaft is turning and the cv's aren't...
  14. he might have made a new one... ill see if i can find it lol
  15. floor pans should be the same, the body is. just the fenders and front fascia changed. Dash is different. seat bolt patterns should be the same. and the tail gate changed but tail lights interchange.
  16. So they worked? Great. might have to get me a set. How much better are they?
  17. Distributor have red bearing dust failure? Mine ran all kinds of funny when that happened lol
  18. This.... I did this with my honda.. Only hurt for a little while.
  19. 1986.5-1989 pathfinders had a TBI VG30e, 1990-1995 had a MPFI vg30e, 1996-1999 had a MPFI vg33e. Yes specifiying at the crank does help, but with only 210 at the wheels... i'm not sure it would lose that much HP from the crank to the wheels. Sure you can hop up the intake and install and overdrive pulley. BUt the biggest parts are injectors and the s/c itself.
  20. 210 hp with 246 ft lbs of torque. Torque is what you want. Also, 1996-1999 pathfinders came with a vg33. As well as the earlier 6cyl frontiers.
  21. 300hp? Nope... 200s I think is what the vg33er puts out. Not that high at all.
  22. Usually it's denso, Ngk. And a bunch others... But Bosch is a great replacement in almost all cases. The same brand parts aren't always the best.
  23. I used electrical tape and then duct tape to seal my intake hose until i can afford 80$ or whatever it is for a new one on mine. Junkyard should have on for yours.
