Since I replaced my fan clutch, the temp gauge never goes above a 1/4, mid 90's down here, AC on, in traffic, always stays in the same place. And as I said you can definitely hear the fan is engaged when it is.

When you first start the engine, even when cold the fan should be spinning like crazy, if you rev the engine you should hear that the fan is moving some air, you can't not tell it is working. If it is not spinning fast when the engine is hot or if it looks like it's just kind of turning than the new fan clutch is bad. Take it back if you can and get another one. It's not unusual these days for a new part to be bad out of the box.

I would have kept the grille guard I had on the hardbody, no idea what I did with it !! But I went to a Smittybilt ( back when they weren't a Jeep parts company !!), double tube bumper, which didn't last too long before it was replaced with a Pro-Zap winch bumper.

A guy at work has one of those Crown Vic's, I've been working there going on 14 years and he has had it since I started, I feel sorry for him with the gas prices (351) but it still gets him to work and back.

Sentra is having cooling issues and after I took it for a test drive I noticed water leaking out the bottom and found a heater hose with a pin hole in it, so need to pick up a hose today and than another sentra owner from another forum suggested I check the output for the wax element to see if it may be plugged, he went thru the same issues that I am having and after he replaced everything the plugged line is what he found was wrong with is. So I'll be taking that apart later. I didn't get a chance to look at the plug in the pathfinder as it has been raining pretty good here everyday but I will look at it today.

I had the center section no hoops on my hardbody when I first bought it back in 87, I saw one on a truck at a trade show and liked how solid it mounted.

is that a one piece or bolt together stock Nissan grille guard?

Rob, that was it. It had different wheels though, they were stock just not those. Yes I still talk to her and no she doesn't have it anymore. Is the one you pictured yours? Wasn't sure of the year, I have a clipping from a magazine when it was first coming out along with the 2 door car with the height adjustable suspension, XT or something?? My cousin's dad had the other car way back. I really liked the RX, with the spare under the hood. As I said I thought it was pretty cool back in the day, and I guess people still like them today. The fwd sentra wagon's were pretty common, the 4wd one's are few. One of my ex gf's had a Subaru, think it was an RX, it was pretty cool, turbo, center diff control, 4wd of course, and it had a feature like a line lock, press the clutch in, step on the brake, than you could release the brake and it would hold the car, you could even feather the clutch and gas and it would still hold the car from rolling back, here is a pic of what her car looked like except her's was all white: Lotus worst build quality?? Is that what wikipedia says? Or have you owned one?

when I had the open element cone filter on mine it had a constant whistle while idling, may of been a leak somewhere, didn't see any. and when you got on it, you could def. hear it pulling air.

the plug on the right looks like it has more than 2 wires in it but the one you stick the tip of the test light into on the left looks like it only has 2? I'll have to look at mine today to see where you are talking about, I'm driving it to work (sentra is down right now), so I'll look after work. the empty relay socket could be for something you do not have, the FSM shows a relay plug in that area for the KA24 engine equipped pathfinders for a ambient air sensor. I would not worry about that.

Nissan only had the 4wd sentra wagon for like 3 years, I believe it was 87, 88 & 89, funny oem-surplus, (nissan surplus parts at very good discounted prices if you don't know about them), still have brand new parts available for the 4wd, here is a rear view pic of one, someone I know from the sentra forum has, this guy races his at rallycross events against full rally cars, this one is an 89, 5 speed, with a DE engine and turbo swap, they put the 4wd button on the shift knob from what I've read:

my buddies Toyota tacoma had a problem going into certain gears and all it turned out to be was the bushing under the shifter, may want to check the simple things first.

Nice that they still have grease fittings, a lot of parts these days are coming sealed.

Today used the PF to pick up our full sized 3/4" thick plywood coffin from storage, brought all the Halloween decorations home so my wife can start setting up. Felt bad for my brother in law, had to have him sit next to the coffin as it took up the whole rear section up to the past the pass. seat. He's ok he's small, lol Back to driving the PF to work as the sentra is down until I can get a new heater hose.

I wasn't sure on the MPG I was just going off what I get on my FWD 90 sentra. I'm sure the 4wd would add a little resistance.

get the Sentra wagon, they're cool and rare. I know a guy that race's his in the snow. still 4wd and probably could get high 20 to 30 MPG if you drive normal, 20 MPG is good in a pathfinder but not everyone gets 20, I've been averaging about 16-17 but I drive like a nut.

try to find one of the rare Sentra 4wd wagons if you can

I have the FSM for the 94 & 95 and also have a separate one that says "1995 Nissan Truck and Pathfinder supplement" , EDIT - check out next reply just uploaded it this is what it says inside:

I always use NGK plugs on the Nissans and usually use the V powers, I usually recommend staying with stock plug wires but I have a NGK set on my sentra right now and they are working good, fit the clips and are labeled like the stock wires. Good prices as was said from Rockauto. The plugs I always get locally, not a huge mark up on plugs.
