The OP has an 88 which uses the older style alt with the fan on the outside, the only difference besides the amps between the 88 4 cyl. and 88 V6 alternators is the location of the plug. So any alt that we could swap over will work on his KA, as said already if a SOHC maxima alt is used the pulley would need to be swapped over.

is this the same one? http://www.summitrac...61326/?rtype=10 I think if they don't have a specific rack available for your year pathfinder that you would need to buy one of their universal racks, based on the width. It appears all the racks come with the rails that need to be bolted down to the roof, so it shouldn't matter if it is pathfinder specific. Just get the one that best fits the pathfinder's roof. The track racks are designed to be installed on vehicles that do not have a factory roof rack (per the website), so you may need to remove your stock rack to use one of these racks. Have you tried calling Garvin to see if the recommend one rack over another???

yes, I did the xterra rack. I used to live in Patchogue, and we used to go to 2 junkyards that let you walk around and pull your own parts, no idea if they still do haven't lived up there since 1995. Anyway there is one on Station Road in Bellport named D&D ((631) 286-1616) they only do trucks, you could probably call to see if they have anything you are looking for. I thought the drain/fill plugs were closer in size to the 1/2" extension size, than the 3/8? unless the OP typed 3/8" by mistake

where on Long Island are you? depending on where you live I could probably get you to one of two junkyards that may have what you need.

you can as a test, if you have a set of jumper cables, clip one end to the alternator housing and the other end to a ground point, negative battery post, bolt, etc, and see if it makes any difference

After I had the JDM engine installed I changed the oil, engine still had the JDM "pitwork" oil filter on it, had to put rubber tape inside the oil filter band wrench and use a pipe on the handle to break the filter loose!! Well just spoke to salesman at Amazon hose, doesn't look like I will be getting hoses made from them. First the guy told me the braided SS hoses with the teflon lining over time the teflon breaks apart so that doesn't sound good the other option is a cloth braided hose, The hoses I inquired about were 3' long with a 45 degree -8AN connector on one end and a 90 degree -8AN connector on the other end, prices he gave me were: SS - $74 each cloth - $68 each Think I'm going to price the components thru Summit and see if it would be less expensive to put t hem together my self.

no I meant just replacing the round dash for another round one, got a few big cracks in mine. Well if it's similar to my sentra and from looking at it I know I need to remove the radio bezel, gauge cluster bezel, gauge cluster, panel under the steering column, glove box, possibly right side of glove box (if it's separate), the 3 defroster vents and all the screws. On my car I dropped the steering column to make it easier and pulled the steering wheel. It's a pin the way Nissan attaches the dash pad, where the whole dash has to be removed, flipped over and than remove a bunch of screws that go in from the bottom up. I'm basing this on my sentra I figure they probably are the same.

check engine light came on yesterday, checked the codes got code 45, injector leak, searched on here, checked a few things, no gas smell, cleared the code, drove it to work and back today no CEL today.

I think the European one's are designed for driving on the other side of the road. I will be getting the Hella headlights eventually, right now have normal sealed beams in there, nice cause the glass doesn't get that yellow look

Just searched for this did not find anything, Has anyone done a writeup on replacing the whole dash? I did it on my 90 sentra and figure it's probably about the same process, Thought I read on here someone did it with a RHD PF?

Yes those are the Hella conversion headlights I was recommending, they are USA legal but have a clearer lens (less fluting) and they take a H4 bulb, the bulbs come in all different wattages from completely legal to crazy, I had 55 watt low/100 watt high bulbs in the one's I had in my old hardbody. Hella has halogen bulbs in 55/60, 55/100, 90/130 I stayed with the legal low beam wattage and the 100 watt high beams were nice. Hella also sells a European version of this headlight, not legal for US use but don't think anyone will bother you as long as they are aimed properly. They have them on E-bay once in a while. My 94 Se drivers seat has the height adjustment, unless someone swapped the seats but I doubt it as the fronts match the back. Are you sure??

So you have 4 lights on top & 2 in the brush guard, how many more do you want to add anyway?? If you need more light than what you have now I would recommend converting the stock headlights over to hardbody style and putting a set of Hella conversion headlights in with 60/100 watt bulbs. You could also leave the 2 on the brush guard where they are and add 2 more on top of the bottom tube, all you need to do is run a piece of steel between the 2 light tabs and than drill and bolt on 2 more lights, the negative about doing that is it blocks the grille.

I'm here, you checked the battery cables, the large one's or the small ones that go into the plugs too? Where on the East Coast are you located?

Thanks, with out a body lift it rally is a pain to get the filter off, I bought one of those pliers type oil filter wrenches and due to where the exhaust manifold is I can't get the pliers square on the filter so they just keep coming off, same thing with a normal band type wrench, when I finally get the wrench on the filter tight I only have about an inch to move the wrench, I just want it to be easier to change the oil plus with my new starter I would like to keep oil from getting into it. I need to pull the tire and see if I would be better off doing 45 degree connectors on the adapter end or just use straight than as I said I need to figure out the length, the filter mount end I'm going to use 90 degree ends even if I have t make them clear the inner fender.

don't forget on non AC trucks there will be a large rubber plug (10 mm bolt in the middle) that fills the 2 holes in the firewall, that's where I ran all my wires thru in my old hardbody. I removed the bolt and metal plate, cut the rubber in half than put it back together giving me one hole open and one closed.
