I filled my 94 pathfinder up last week at 185,868, got gas this morning and filled it up again at 186,131 which is 263 miles, but the odometer was saying I drove 291 miles, the truck took 17.1 gallons which is close to what it took last week (16.8), I think the speed sensor (not sure if that is the correct name for it) that runs the speedometer is not the correct one for this truck as the previous owner replaced the tranny and transfer case and the speedometer appears to be reading faster than the truck is running. Question is: if the speed sensor is not the correct part does the speedometer and the trip odometer both run off the same sensor?? I thought I drove 291 miles now after subtracting the starting and ending mileage and getting a different amount of miles I'm confused. Anyone have any idea on this please?? Thanks

I recently swapped the 60 amp alternator in my 90 sentra with a 110 amp alternator out of a 95 -97 Maxima, the alternator in the maxima's come in 110 or 125 amp outputs, I did have to make a small bracket due to the "ear" on the new alt. being in a different location and had to re-wire the maxima alt's plug to the sentra's harness as they are different but it was easy to do. Plus junkyard was having a sale so I got it for $10, I did take it to an electrical shop to have it tested and to get a better pulley but it works great and is a big difference from 60 to 110 amps. Also the stock sentra alternator looks identical to the pathfinder alt.

I like to use this site instead of Craigslist as this one lets you search a set distance from any zipcode instead of having to keep changing the area, I entered the zipcode of 98626, lot's of 31" tires for sale here http://www.searchtempest.com/results.php?Region=na&catname=all+sale%2Fwanted&citySelect=zip&zip=98626&maxDist=250&crossBorder=&showeb=1&showaz=&search_string=31%22+tires&search_string_neg=&keytype=all&category=8&subcat1=ccc&subcat2=eee&subcat3=ggg&subcat4=hhh&subcat5=jjj&subcat6=ppp&subcat7=res&subcat8=sss&subcat9=bbb&hasPic=1&srchType=T&addThree3=&minAsk4=min&maxAsk4=max&bedrooms=&minAsk6=min&maxAsk6=max&minAsk8=min&maxAsk8=max

it should work just make sure the metal part is really clean here is a list of all the models that use the 4 door pathfinder sunroof latch: the GC22 is a Nissan Van, the B12 is a Nissan Sentra, the S12 is a 200SX :

does this appear to be a Hardbody transfer case shifter? I was reading thru this thread and how it says the Hardbody shifter is 1.5" or so longer and was thinking if my shifter was that much longer how high it would be so I was wondering if maybe my pathfinder already has a Hardbody tranny transfer case in it, as my buddy replaced the tranny/transfer case when they replaced the engine?? pics of the shifter below:

I just cleaned my TB, I just removed the 4 bolts and pulled the TB away from the intake plenum, didn't take it completely off due to the 2 hoses that are attached to it, but I was able to pull it far enough out to get to the back side and clean it really good. It was easy to remove and I was able to re-use the old gasket but if you do clean it this way you may just want to pick up a gasket in case the one on the TB breaks.

the K&N I posted?? Forgot what they paid for it, I got it as a gift, still sitting in my shed in the box,

was curious I received one of these (pic below) like 2 x-mas's ago intending to use it on my sentra, but because the sentra engine is TB I would have to make an adapter and I do not know how to weld especially using aluminum, so was thinking it may be easier to use on the pathfinder, http://www.knfilters.com/universal/apollo.htm

quick side question, does anyone make an adapter to go from the MAF sensor to eliminate the factory air cleaner box? 94 pathfinder by the way

I think I'll be mounting a pair of cup holders just to the right of the auto shifter there appears to be enough room where it won't interfere with the movement of the pass. seat.

one of mine came off on my 87 Hardbody years ago, I glued it back on using rear view mirror adhesive , is that what you used?

can anyone explain if this is correct? need to know function of wire that goes to/comes from fan switch

napa gold oil filters are supposed to be good too but when I put one on my sentra it ticked like crazy at start up, replaced it with a factory filter and no more ticking.

Is My Speedometer Correct? Need Help
ahardb0dy replied to ahardb0dy's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
have to find someone that has one, thanks for the idea!! -
normally a vibration felt thru the steering wheel indicates a problem in the front, could be anything previously listed, a vibration felt thru the seat usually is from the rear

here's a pic someone photoshopped of my 87 Hardbody a few years ago, not as stubby as the path pictured here but:

Some of the aftermarket electric fans come with the thermostat and sensor that gets placed between the fins of your radiator, I had a single electric fan on my 87 Hardbody a long time ago, don't remember which brand it was but it was a beast!! here is a writeup on how to choose the proper fan: http://www.flex-a-lite.com/auto/html/howtoelectric.html

my antenna is just a skinny black wire that comes out of the module and lays on the floor, My truck had the alarm but I disconnected it, does having the alarm mean it is supposed to have the key fobs??

I got my AC fixed today, had to replace the expansion valve and recharge it, it works pretty good so far but still having an issue with the AC switch and the fan switch, when I have the AC button pressed in, than move the fan switch over to 3 or 4 the light in the ac switch does not come on and the clutch on the compressor does not engage, if I move the fan switch slightly to the left like between 3 and 4, or if I lift up slightly on the fan switch lever the light comes on and the clutch will engage, What I want to try to figure out how to do is to make it so the AC clutch will engage regardless of where the fan switch is. I took one of these fan controls apart in the junkyard and it was a pain in the butt and really don't want to go that way and mess with replacing it. I probed the AC switch and there are 5 terminals, one seems like it has power all the time with the key on, and one terminal has power when the AC switch is pressed in, the other 3 wires seem like they are grounds but not sure. I'm having a hard time figuring out the schematic and wanted to know if someone with more electrical knowledge perhaps could explain how the wires run to me. I know I could probably use a separate switch to control the AC relay but want to figure out a way to use the stock AC switch but have it work regardless of what position the fan switch is set at, anybody help please??

I was thinking my speedometer was a little fast as the truck doesn't seem like it is going as fast as what the speedometer is saying. I figured it was correct as the truck still has the stock sized tires, but than I realized my buddy had the tranny replaced, so now I have no idea what this tranny came out of and if the speedometer gear is correct for my axle gear ratio. Wanted to know if someone with 31's, 4:63 gears and an auto tranny could tell me what there speed is at 2000 RPM, mine is reading 60 with the OD on and in top gear. Also is there a way to tell by looking at the speedometer gear which one it is? Thanks
