  1. wasn't thinking about getting it, the one I had on my D-21 I made myself, the one they sell looks easy enough to make as well, mine was a different design but it worked for me.
  2. from the calmini site under the idler arm brace, aren't these 2 the same?? 1987-95 Pathfinder NP12490 $37.95 1987-95 WD21 NP12490RHD $47.95 talking about the pathfinder and WD21, not the part numbers
  3. any muffler shop could fix/weld that together for about $20
  4. all the V6 WD21 pathfinders used the VG30 engine (3.0), I would say look for a 4 door just because it's easier to get into the back seat (from what I've heard about the 2 door's never been in one personally) brief history of the pathfinder including the different generations here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Pathfinder
  5. just replace the rubber bumper that hits the brake switch, Last time I bought this part I bought a few as it is the same on my Sentra for the clutch pedal as well as the brake. Same part for the 2 on the pathfinder too, one for brake one for the cruise switch. Nissan Fast lists 2 different part numbers clutch pedal and brake pedal but I have used the same part for both pedals, part number 46512-H0101
  6. that doesn't look like it would have been hard to find
  7. this is what I use in my Sentra manual trans, http://www.amsoil.com/catalog.aspx?code=MTGQT-EA
  8. What is he cleaning using starter fluid? I can think of other things to use that are probably cheaper and less flammable to use depending on what is being cleaned.
  9. I didn't check in the FSM I have for my 87 but in the FSM for the 94 pathfinder it shows 2 fuses in the fuse box that control the lights, did you check both of them??
  10. Found these in a couple old magazines I had in my storage so I scanned them for everyone,
  11. I'm running Amsoil in my Sentra manual tranny so far no problems and it shifts very smooth
  12. here is the wiring diagram for the 95 pathfinder: it appears the positive wire for the right turn signal goes to the turn signal switch as well as the hazard switch so you should be able to check for power at either one of them, have you tried turning your flashers on to see what happens?
  13. to eliminate all the extra wires going to the positive battery post what I did on my 87 hardbody was to run a piece of 4 gauge car audio power cable from the positive to a distribution block I bought made by Moroso, than I connected all my accessory wires to that, keeps the positive terminal neater, can't find a pic of it but all it was was a plastic base with a stud sticking up from the base and it had a plastic cover. you could also eliminate all the separate fuse holders and use something like this:
  14. checked the speedometer tonight on the way home from work against my buddies Toyota Tacoma and it was exactly what his was reading so I guess it's correct after all, may just be that I'm not used to driving the pathfinder it has been a long time since I drove the hardbody I used to own, ok check that off the list, next...
  15. Ok, drove the pathfinder to work this morning, switched the trip odometer over to "B" and waited until the odometer hit the next number than reset the trip odometer. watched both as I drove exactly 1 mile, they are both running exactly the same. Kept an eye on it as I drove into work and they still stayed exactly the same. So I guess I must have read the mileage wrong last week. I still think the speedometer is running faster and am going to check that on the way home from work tonight. Thanks
  16. I had 2 1/4" done on my old 87 with a flowmaster, not sure of the series of the muffler it was when flowmaster first came out it sounded really good until the muffler cracked, than I went to a Borla muffler, rest of pipe was stainless, also did not have the cat on for a while but don't think removing the cat does much. In 4 low it really sounded wicked, especially when winding it out !!
  17. ok, but in my case a 28 mile difference??? Does the speed sensor, this: what sends the signal to the speedometer?? I know my truck has 4.62 gears per the fender tag, it is a "SE" and came with and still has 31" tires on it. I also know some pathfinders have a 4.37 gear ratio were any other ratios available in the pathfinder or 4WD pickups? I can tell my speedometer is running high but can't see the speed sensor making such a big difference in the speed. is the above pic what the sensor looks like? as the FSM shows this:
  18. so does this look like the stock height of a pathfinder transfer case shifter?
  19. rotors wear as well as the pads but not as fast, I would just replace the rotors myself or if you don't know how try to find someone local to you that can help or do it for you, $600 at the dealer, even with re-packing the bearings is ridiculous!! The rotors cost about $50 each at the auto parts. the other thing you wrote that caught my attention was they said the rotors have about 2mm left, which to me makes them sound like they are due for replacement but than you say one of their options was to cut them, if the rotors are that thin what are they going to cut??
  20. so the odometer would be more reliable than the trip odometer?
