  1. My 94 has 2 sensors right near the top front of the engine, very easy to get at, I guess they changed the location from what is described in this thread?
  2. anyone have a VG30 out of a truck that might possibly be able to take a pic of this sensor for me?
  3. Anyone have any opinions on the Pro Comp All terrains?
  4. the price for the mud terrains may have not been a normal retail price as I knew the guy that owned the tire shop pretty well, of course that in itself makes it unfair to compare "my price" with what other retailers may have been selling them for back in the day
  5. I saw that in the service manual I just don't see it on the engine, I may make a junkyard trip this weekend and start removing parts from one of their engines until I find where it is.
  6. starting to wonder if the engine even has this sensor or not
  7. I looked on tire rack's site but than have to pay shipping and than to have them mounted and balanced
  8. there is only one O2 Sensor correct?
  9. would my 94 SE with auto trans have 4.62 gears? and how many gallons is the fuel tank anyway?
  10. your Firestone tires may be ok for you but after having them stock on my 87 Hardbody and seeing how they were than having another set of Firestone's on my sentra and having to replace all 4 of them for being out of round plus one blowing out for no reason one day, I don't even consider Firestone.
  11. a pair of these Falken's out the door cost $242.29, they used to have a brand named Pathfinder that looked pretty good think it was like a house brand for Discount Tire (also known as America's Tire) but don't see them on the site anymore.
  12. the engine is a JDM engine, no idea what temp thermostat is in it or if it has one at all!! I posted a thread about the terrible mileage I got today so possibly if it is running too cold this may be contributing to the bad MPG. JDM and US thermostat temp is 169.7 per FAST program
  13. 94 pathfinder VG30E, the water temp gauge only rises to about a 1/4 above the cold mark, is this a normal reading?
  14. First of all this is not a "will this size fit on my truck" question, I have 31's on my 94 pathfinder right now, actually 265/75/15's. I'm going to be buying a pair of 31's for the front but I need to stay inexpensive, the cheapest tires at the local tire store I use (discount tire) are Falken Ziex S/TZ-04 at $95 each, pic below: these are like a big street tire and I'm not sure if I'm comfortable having a street tread on the truck as I do want to do some light off roading soon, the rear tires are Goodyear At's and have a decent amount of thread left. I am also looking at the BF Goodrich all terrains, they have received many good reviews and many people comment on how they have gotten 70-80K miles out of them, but they are $159 each. I used to get 33" BFG mud terrains for $150!! Was looking to see what other brand 31's the members here may be running and approx how much they cost and also maybe some other options in this size. THANKS!!
  15. Hello all, yesterday I finally put my 94 pathfinder on the road, stopped and got gas, 87 octane $20m about 8 gallons, the gas gauge was just below the 3/4 mark, today I drove it to work and back 72 miles round trip and the gas gauge is now below a 1/4. The engine I had put in (old engine was shot) was a JDM VG30E,m truck has a auto trans with O/D and 31" tires. Anyway, mechanic said the spark plugs looked good although I don't know what brand they are, most likely NGK's, I haven't done anything yet as far as a tune up but I drove aprox. 90 miles on 8 gallons and have the same amount of gas as before I put in the 8 gallons, that works out to 11.25 MPG does this sound a bit low to anyone else even with not doing a tune up??? My 87 Hardbody 4x4 with 33's, TB, no over drive auto trans and 4.62 gears was getting about 10 MPG. So what kind of mileage should I expect to see with this truck anyway?? I thought by getting rid of our V8 Titan I would be saving money on gas being the pathfinder is a V6 but HOLY Cr-P!! So I'll probably get a new set of NGK plugs, air filter, fuel filter, put some Mobil One in, I have a factory oil filter already, PCV, I'll price the O2 sensor (s??) and if I can get one reasonable I'll replace that as well, I need to check the rear end fluid and possibly change it to some synthetic, ( what do you recommend since it is LSD), anything else I forgot to list?? Thanks
  16. UPDATE: I put some silicone in the lower corner of the windshield trim, the leak stopped, so I thought, the other night it rained pretty good here and I checked the floor and there was a little water!! Over the weekend I went out and bought a tube of black silicone and I ran a bead all the way around the windshield, thought that would stop any leaks, last night we had a really nasty rain for hours, at 3 a.m. I take the garbage out and check the floor of the truck and there is quite a bit of water!! So now I'm back to square one, may have to pull the fender to see if there is anything obvious where water may be coming in. OH WELL the saga continues......
  17. they probably just added the plate and nothing else and called it a special edition!!
  18. or get a full size solid axle so the inside of the tires are completely out of the fenders like a S-10 I saw one day down here!!
  19. forgot all about the drum brake for the parking brake, thanks, learn something new everyday!! appreciate it.
  20. the screw method refers to turning the screw on the ECU, usually located under the pass. seat, there are 2 lights a red one and a green one, the screw should be turned all the way counter clockwise before you even touch it, to read the codes, turn the screw fully clockwise until it stops, watch the blinking lights, the ECU will cycle thru the different modes, first mode is one flash, red and green together, second mode is 2 flashes red and green together, you want the third mode which is red and green together 3 blinks, right after the third blink turn the screw fully counter clockwise than observe the blinks, the red light will blink first than the green, count how many times each color blinks, than post the code, the code for all ok is 5 red 5 green. after you read what ever code there is they will repeat or will flash another code if there is one, when you are done turn the screw fully clockwise again, wait until you get to mode 5, 5 red 5 green blinks than turn the screw fully counter clockwise again and you are done. this method applies to earlier pathfinders not sure if this method is the same for your 2003 perhaps someone else can clarify
  21. I went out before to adjust my hand brake and I glanced thru this thread first, so I go outside I have the brake adjusting tool and my floor jack, jack up the rear of the truck, chock the front wheels I'm all set to go under and adjust those star wheels and it hits me DUH !!! I have rear discs there are no star wheel things to adjust!!! So I did it with 2 -12mm wrenches, much better now !!!
  22. but that was after he painted it, the second pic I take it is how it originally was
  23. To all: I listed the service manuals that I have, the manuals that I have that are actually paper copies I am not selling, if you need something out of one of the paper manuals I will be glad to scan a few pages but not the whole section. Any of the PDF. manuals I will be glad to send to you for free. Lastly the Nissan FAST program is a very large folder, about 4.5 GB's, I did not list it on here to share as it is too large to send and takes to long for me to upload it as it has to be uploaded in about 9 parts. I only mentioned I had the FAST program in case anyone wanted me to look up anything for them. The Nissan FAST program is still available online, that is where I got my copy and I will be more than happy to assist anyone that needs help in setting it up but once again I will not send it online to anyone. One other option someone just asked me about is sending it by mail on a DVD, that I could also do if one wanted to, but as I said it is available for download, some sites that still have it are listed below, Thanks http://www.gtrpwr.com/showthread.php?t=2 http://www.gtrpwr.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=6 http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f104/nissan-fast-2009-10-eldvd-gldvd-usdvd-ca-cainf-eurinf-63567/
  24. anyone ever have this error code and possibly have a fix or is it just replacing the sensor?
  25. did the truck come with those bumpers and does it have anything else on it that wouldn't normally be on the pathfinder?? If I was a dealer I could replace the wheels and tires and put some stripes on it and say it's a special edition, but actually making up a decal or plate not many dealers would do that I don't think reminds me of the PT Cruiser, just about everyone of them you see on the road have a limited edition sticker on the rear, funny thing is if they all have it how limited are they??? LOL
