  2. Belt dressing helps. It's available at most automotive stores, and some bigger chain type stores. Don't know what you have in your area.
  3. No No Precise, It's only SAS'd with 35's. It's not for "hard" offroading.........
  4. I'm close. About 46kms one way, not to mention the driving I do for/while at work. Luckily, that's all reimbursed. *runs to fill out expense form* :cool2:
  5. Darn, ya beat me to it... B It's funny cuz it's true!!!!
  6. Yep, Precise, we just got our first paved road here in Ontario last month. Before that it was a BIATCH to get from the igloo to the corner store!!!!! :cool2: It was a lot better once they got the mountie out there directing traffic. No kidding!!! When are they supposed to be putting in that stop sign again?
  7. I'm with you Pezzy. I'm using about $10 a day. Of course, thats CDN, so it's only like $3 US.

  9. I didn't see the topic over on XOC. Where is it now? I'm curious what they were saying.
  10. *nominates k9sar* No need to nominate, Pezzy, I'm sure he'll get out of line soon enough, without any encouragement!!!! -alcohol-
  11. I did the same thing, and I also (before I knew better ) used GL-5 in my manual tranny. But, from the time I started hearing any noise out of it, (160,000Kms) I got 80,000 on it until it finally REALLY went. When I had it replaced with a used (Jap import) tranny, my buddy (a mechanic) said the clutch was not overly abused (due for change, but not destroyed). I drive fairly hard, and got 240,000Kms on my clutch and original tranny, even with my fluid mistake.
  12. That's strange. The owners manual for my 95 recommends 5W30 for all climates. 10W30 is mentioned, but only above 0 degrees celcius. I use the Valvoline, or Quaker State high mileage, 5W30.

    Air Lift

Skrillaguerilla, I know you're located in Waterloo, and if it's not too far of a drive for you, there's a place in Brampton that, I think, sells those air suspension kits. I remember seeing an ad in there for them. I can check it out for you, as it's only about 5 minutes from where I work, and let you know.
  14. Probably have a leak somewhere, which is not allowing you to pressurize it properly. That's my guess. That's also probably why your AC wasn't as cold as it used to be, because the freon was leaking out. Mine did that too, and when I had the AC system pressure tested, a nut on the condensor blew up.....that's where my leak was. Some shops can put a dye in the AC lines to see where the leak is, so a shop may be your best option. Good luck.
  15. Canada Represent!!!! Sorry.....got a little gangsta there for a second!!! -alcohol-
  16. Rami, You probably have a shoe or pad (depending on whether you have rear discs or drum) sticking, most likely caused either by a sticking caliper if you have discs, or a stuck spring, or malfunctioning wheel cylinder or auto-adjuster in the drum. Take it apart and have a look to see if everything's moving freely.

    MJ Poll

Well if you admit to sleeping with little boys and inducing them with alcohol and admitting to it. You should then be casterated Now if this was some sshmuck off the street he would of been found guilty and would of spent the trial in jail! WTF are you talking about. I'm talking about the million dollar pedophile that you are saying is innocent. And if you agree with his antics on what he does to childeren then I put you in the same catagory as him. As KIDS CANNOT PROTECT THEMSELVES!!!! This is why before they tried him they waited for all the evidence and there was a ton with his "home videos" What kind of sick bastard does this to kids and you get off by saying we are f@#cked because he was found not guilty that should be good enough. -thnkboutit- Wake-UP and stop protecting the pedophile!!!!!!!! Absolutely. Even if there was no sexual acts taking place.......it's still sick!!!
  18. Good to see you on Mr. Jim. Stop by more often!!!! :cool2:
  19. That's for the 4 banger. Quite a bit cheaper. :contract: I'd be curious what the V6 disc costs from your list.....
  20. I had a clogged cat once (before I became a dog-person). ExLax is NOT a good thing to give to a cat. The necessary proximity of the litter pan dramatically decreases while the cat's wandering habit does not. At least now, with my dogs, if one of them has an accident, the other one eats it.   Once again someone has managed to take a completely on topic, and seemingly innocent suggestion/comment, and turn it into something only truly suited to the Post Whore thread!!!! I laughed my A$$ off though, as I can picture the "proximity" situation with my own cat!
  21. Basically, these things are geared to get maximum power out of a fairly weak 3.0L V6. If you re-gear for better fuel economy, you won't have any power. People go up 1-2 sizes in tires and notice a distinct loss of power. Re-gearing would have the same effect, only, multiplied, as far as I know. Fixing your manifolds will help with mileage, installing headers instead of fixing the manifolds would help a little more, and give you more power. In terms of the "MFA" sensor, I think you're talking about 88PathfinderOffroad's idea to clean the MAF sensor. (most people call him 88) That will help with mileage as well, if your MAF is particularily dirty. Here's the Link Hope this helps

    Oil Light blinks

As 88 Said, check the wiring to the sender. I had the wires fall out of mine when I did an oil change once, (the PO had popped it loose before, and put it together terribly)and after a while of them sitting on the frame, they had rubbed a spot clean enough to make a connection, and turn my light on. I just pulled the plug from the sender, rewired it, and plugged it back in. If it's okay, I'd get that looked at ASAP, as you could be losing oil pressure intermittently.
  23. If you have the power antenna, you can splice into that wire for your remote turn on. That's if you can't find a dedicated remote wire. I don't know for sure, as I took my stock head unit out as mine was only a tape deck!!! Good luck.
  24. I think the only way to do it and have it sound half decent would be to run wires from the rear speakers, to the high-level inputs on your amp (if so equipped). Then wire up your power, ground, and remote leads, and you're set.
  25. No worries MM, I'm with ya. My 5-speed just went as well, although, it's still driveable. I can't drive in 5th due to the fear inducing grinding/howling, clutch is slipping in 4th, on even pavement if I give it any gas, throw-out bearing is barking every time I press the clutch, and all gears but 4th make so much noise. My buddy is getting some parts for me, and we're doing it this weekend. It's been going for about 80,000km's, so I can't really complain. It'll be nice to drive a truck with decent tranny for a change. :cool2:
