    Stalling Problem

It's probably the electrical connector to the MAF. That's a common problem, and since you changed the air filter, I'd say it's a safe bet. Try starting the truck, then get out, and wiggle the wires to the MAF and see if it improves.....if it does, just try to tighten up the wires. You may have to take the connector apart to do it, but I'm sure someone knows how.

    HELP!!!!!!!!

In my 95, it was only 2 screws that mounted the window to the track. After that, you can just push the window into place, and shim it with something. Paint stir sticks did the trick for me. The problem, again, in my 95, was a circuit breaker in the drivers side kick panel that had rotted, and I wasn't getting a power past any of my switches for my windows. I don't know how the 88's are wired, but maybe something similar? Good luck
  3. In my 95, (not sure if it's the same) there is a circuit breaker in the driver's kick panel, and on mine, the connection was terribly corroded, so I had the same issue. No windows, no locks. I replaced it with an inline fuse (I used a 10 amp) and the problem was solved. In my 95 there is no fuse in the main fuse area for locks or windows. Hope that helps.....good luck
  4. Really? That's the exact problem I'm having. I'll have to take it apart and have a look. Thanks for the info! :cool2:
  5. Yes, you have a LSD. It should also say "use only LSD gear oil" or something of that nature.
  6. I have a problem with my DRL module. My question is, can you disconnect it, and still have headlights? Rather than get another one, I'd rather just disconnect, if my headlights will still work. If so, where is it? Thanks in advance.
  7. It's your throwout bearing. Maybe you got a bad one, maybe they didn't replace it the first time. Either way, I've had mine like that for 60000Kms. It "barks" every now and then, but I'm just going to wait until the clutch starts slipping a little, and replace the whole works. I don't know if I could be causing any more damage or not by doing this, but it seems to me that it shifts just fine, and has since the bark started.
  8. D@MN YOU!!!!! At least the Canadians on here have the common sense not to drive HEEPS!!!! :cool2:
  9. Yeah guys......don't bash SHEEPS.......it's not nice!!!!!
  10. While the have the other motor out, they should throw on some headers. It's alot easier to do with the motor already out. Plus you're already saving almost 2g's over what the dealership wanted. Just a thought.
  11. Great, the links still work. I can continue to use my bandwidth for downloading por......I mean......major motion pictures :cool2:
  12. I downloaded it from the link that 88 provided. If he doesn't have it hosted, or the original link doesn't work, I can host it on my FTP server. PM me for connection details. IT's the 94 FSM with the 95 supplemental manual.
  13. My brother in law has a Titan. Loves everything about it. He traded an 01 Pathy in for it. Beautiful truck with LOTS of space and power. I personally, (I'm in the minority here as well) love the look of the new Nissan trucks. My brother in law's Titan is base model, and I still think it looks better than most pickups on the road. I will admit though, I am biased. I've never known anyone who had a Dodge/Chrysler vehicle that was reliable, and they've owned a wide variety of Daimler's rides. Anyways, Mud, it's your call......cuz it's your $$$ Good luck.
  14. ALRIGHT!!!! Something I have that 88 doesn't!!!! I rock!!! :cool2: Sorry 88, couldn't resist.
  15. Naw Mr.P. As far as I know all the pre-96 Pathy's had the switch. Mine does, as well as any I looked at while finding one to buy.
  16. Check the fuse for your fuel pump. Could also be that.
  17. No service. Replace. It's not an expensive part, and there's a lot of labor involved in it which all has to be done to replace the Timing Belt anyways. That's why everyone suggests to do that as well while you've got it all apart.
  18. I just checked the Factory service manual, and it seems that pathy's take ATF for the power steering. So maybe it's leaking from the power steering system, but from the transmission, transmission cooler, or from the lines going from the tranny to the cooler.
  19. Funny, I've noticed that same thing, only intermittently, and only when she's in the truck......I'll have to try your solution!!!!!! :cool2:
  20. Alright.......granted....... -alcohol-
  21. I was thinking something along the same lines.......... Great (or is that sick) minds think alike!!!!
  22. BigMike, It's his ABS light that comes on, and goes off at startup. That's normal. It's not the brake light that is doing it, which, would indicate low fluid.
  23. If you do have ABS, (which, the light on your dash indicates that you do) you only have rear ABS. These trucks don't have ABS on all 4 wheels pre-96. One note though, if you're in 4wd, the ABS won't work. Only in 2wd.
  24. Sounds to me like either the fuel pump is going, or the pressure regulator is messed up. Idle doesn't use much fuel, but as soon as you put it in gear, and try to move, you use more gas, which is when it dies. I may be completely off -alcohol-, but that's what it sounds like to me.
