What does a squealing at startup indicate?
TerranoNZ replied to BobLoblaw's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Alt belt? When it's squealing try holding a wax candle (unlite) on it, just to lube it a little, and see if that shuts it up -
How bout on the roof? ON THE INSIDE How many thieves look up?
-
I'd say it was part of a 2 part frame that means you can carry long lengths of steel, piping or timber

If you intend on bolting in the WHOLE engine (Accessories and all), maybe Depends how much you want out of it. You could pick up a Supercharged VG33 or the manifolds and bolt that on the VG30 Then you'd need to get an ECU that would run it. The basic engine, yes. It does differ in the intake and a few accessories. From memory they make like 10HP more, but that could be in the different intake or ECU, The Maxima ECU does NOT fit the Pathy.

Diesel factory service manual For sale
TerranoNZ replied to TerranoNZ's topic in Diesel Engine Discussion
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-197261218.htm cheaper one -
The bare block is the same as the VG30, so bell housing bolts up You could just bolt your VG30 stuff on to the VG33 (Like what I'm SLOWLY doing at the moment We're all here to help anyway Good luck

TD27 turbo terrano / Diff Ratio's
TerranoNZ replied to terranorob's topic in Diesel Engine Discussion
That's really odd, As far as I know the the auto's have 4:6 final gearing and the manual is 4:8. So that would make it worse? All the one's I've got 88 auto V6=4:6 90 manual V6=4:3 91 auto V6=4:6 93 auto V6=4:6 94 manual Diesel=4:8 RowdoggNZ's Diesel (I think it's auto) is 4:6 -

My bad Yeah VH41
-
I just need some more over time Let me know if you need a hand with any fab work
-
That sucks. Any chance of pics of your old pump?
-
Stock drive train SHOULD be strong enough, Wont be too many Ponys or torques The VG33 block is mostly Identical, so everything bolts on to the bare block. Only mod I'm doing is building an air box and snorkel(Not really necessary) Worst thing is this project has been put on hold till I finish the 93 and get some more money
-
3.3 is the VG33 (Comes in the R50 Terrano), just like the VG30 (3.0L) The 4.0 and 4.5 are the VH40 and VH45. I was looking at the V8, but they have coil packs on top of the engine and don't like getting wet. Also the $$ for the V8, fab work, cert and beffing up everything else......Would be cool though See here for my thread on building a VG33....that I haven't yet finished http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=17624&hl= I'd build a V8 diesel though....Hmmmmm

Diesel factory service manual For sale
TerranoNZ replied to TerranoNZ's topic in Diesel Engine Discussion
PM Kiwipete, I think he's got one in PDF -
I'm not selling it, but if someone wants it I could buy it and send it on. Seems a bit steep to me. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-195862156.htm
-
Yeah I struck this in my 91, only each time it would pop a fuse. I'd second the short IIRC it killed park lights (front and rear) and dash.
-
for the $$$ which is better? rear lockers vs front lsd?
TerranoNZ replied to Coucoui6's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
3rded They ROCK -
If you do that be sure to fit a roll bar http://www.3news.co.nz/Video/National/tabi...ault.aspx#video Good to here that the Pathy kept you from harm Re-body it like StatutoryApe did
-
Can they be taped? I know in the Audi they've got a section that you tape over to cut out the Left bias flare. For when your driving around Europe Just a thought I've been keeping my eyes open for some HIDs, but DAMN
-
Yep, I just made 2 brackets and welded them on
-
Might be tricky, IIRC you need the sump off to do it Back to the question though, Mine runs about 60PSI @ mid-high revs. The scary thing is where my pressure reading is taken from (see pic) Start Pathy, 2 sec oil light goes out about 7 sec after that the gauge starts reading BTW could your problem be oil? Just a thought, might be thinning out too much when warm.

AFAIK The Diesels never had a cat...I'd check with an exhaust place 1st, to make sure adding one won't fugger something If yours is Turbo-ed you could go straight through (Turbos kill a bit of noise I run 2 1/2" on my V6 and it's a little loud 100db Most people here won't really be able to help you...The Diesel Terrano's never made it into USA. Have a look at what CrazzyMax did here http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=17735 You may find his vid on youtube of it on a dyno Good luck
-
I've got a Haynes manual, but I haven't used it Here's the link of what I've been doing http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=20360&st=0 They are a bit of a PITA to get out, just take your time. If your no good at keeping track of nuts and bolts, get little bags or containers and label them Double check everything is disconnected. Good luck
-
Well Scott (RedPath88) found it He da man. Used it when I needed spay cans for the 88....Though the 93's code ain't in there
