  1. I like mine but you can tell the quality is not as good. Various brackets in the engine bay rust quickly, compared to the wd21 ones that still have no rust after 22 years. Interior quality is meh, the seats are not that comfy, but the center console with cup holders is nice. I have the supercharged version. I could not stand to drive the NA version as the truck is heavier than the pathy so the extra power makes it fun to drive.
  2. I would do a leak down test to confirm which valves.
  3. Yeah, if it were rings, you'd get it up to almost perfect. My X when i put oil in the cylinder it went from 70 to 150... I'd say you have a bent valve for sure. Could always just get a used head from the wreckers, get it checked, and slap it on. You'd have to pull it to change the valves anyway.
  4. "standard" in the manual is 175psi if I remember correctly. Minimum is around 120. Maximum difference between cylinders is 14. They could all be at 120 and it would still run perfectly fine. Its the difference between cylinder where problems start.
  5. That isn't the idle, its just the camera from my old cell. It idled smooth but half the cylinders only had 70lbs of compression. It burned oil like a mother#$!&er but that's another story.
  6. Sure it would. But if the lifters have been damaged like that, so have the bearings, cylinder walls, etc. Did you do the compression test? There is no use putting any time or money into it until that is done. The bearings are a lot less tolerant to oil starvation than the lifters.
  7. Does it sound like my Xterra in this video? If so, you got issues.
  8. Well if the lifters have that much wear, you have bigger problems.
  9. Yes it does. Unplug the o2 and re test. If no results. Try unplugging the coolant temp sensor (yellow plug one in by the distributor). There are also tests in the FSM. This is exactly what my truck did...
  10. I have a few of these; the nose mask (in the original nissan box), the battery warmer, and the ski attachment for the roof rack.
  11. If it lost that much power you probably wont' even need to do all the cylinders to confirm any issues.
  12. I got my first pathy in 2006, but I had to let it go in 2011 so I have my current one now. I also picked up another 95 in 2014. But Have been driving one for 10 years lol.
  13. Driving it with water in the oil is going to wipe out the bearings.
  14. Get a used maf and try it. They hardly go bad. Try unplugging the o2 and see how it runs. Does it do it more when cold or warm?
  15. That is also a good thing to check. The plug is normally clipped to the frame rail but if someone has been in there before probably didn't put it back, so it can get loose or rub through on something. Don't just go throwing parts at it...It hardly ever is the fuel pump on these trucks. They seem to last forever.
  16. The crank angle sensor is in the distributor. Have you checked that?
  17. Sweet. That should fix it. Weird how it would need that many shims with no lift. I have 2 pathys and the stock one only has the OEM shims in there and the alignment is damn near perfect.
  18. I found a few packs of zig zags in mine...Pretty sure they weren't rolling cigarettes...
  19. What control arms do you have? If they are the ones for the lift from 4x4parts or rough country, or superlift, then that is the problem. You can't use those with stock height. I had to go with m14x1.5x60mm on mine so I could get good thread engagement with the amount of spacers it needed.
  20. The ones that don't you can put a bulb in and it will light up, but it is just a lit up square. I believe it was the top left.
  21. Really? I encountered this in Florida and I wondered why. There is so much to see in your country, and the rest of the world...Not trying to insult, I just hear about this all the time where people have never been further than 20 minutes from their hometown.
  22. The xterra rear one is actually smaller than the pathfinder one. I would leave the rear alone except for replacing wear items.
  23. Too many damn stickers. My ebrake works fine.
  24. That is the same one my Xterra SC has. The oem one is a black all one piece unit. Go with that.
  25. How well does the parking brake work with the cable at an angle like that? Any binding?
