Ok, well I just drove it over to a local shop, and the guy crawled under there for a bit and looked around, he said that it's just my stabilizer link mount and that it's not important. He said that the frame was still solid and that I must have hit one hell of a pot hole for that to have happened. He also said that if I feel comfortable with the way it drives now, that I should just remove the rear sway bar. I could weld that piece on myself (with my crappy 70amp welder?), but those fuel lines are awfully close... My friends brother just opened a garage, so I'm gonna get his opinion and maybe I can get a deal on fixing it. Oh ya Simon, I cleared the injector leak code yesterday, and today I took off the dist cap and it was all clean and fine under there, rotor looked good too. It seemed to run fine on the way to the garage...

So I was poking around under my truck and saw this I checked the rest of the frame and it is either solid, or covered in undercoating. Suggestions? Should I repair?, or Just get rid of this thing... Maybe this had something to do with it? Close up The rest of the truck underneath is in great shape

I think it might be normal when the starter is drawing lots of current. There is an 88 pathfinder down the road from my friend that hadn't ran in 2 years so we tried to boost it and It turned over real slow and melted my booster cables

Have it done or DIY! ... Replace Leaky manifolds and broken studs
adamzan replied to MadManMike's topic in General Forums
If they're not cracked, warped or damaged in any other way I'd just clean them up and slap 'em back on. Had to help a friend with his chevy pickup once..... -
Also check your belts dude, that's where my similar noise was

auto trans going out.lost reverse.oh happy day
adamzan replied to Ronin's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
My 93 has 337,000km's (around 215k miles) on the original auto, no cooler, just regular maintenance. When I select a gear, its fast and instant, not like my 95 where it takes it's sweet time to find reverse And yes, GET A COOLER. That lucas stuff really works too. -
Drinking and driving can do a lot of damage................

I think he was replacing the one under the hood that goes along the firewall and near the brake booster, I'm sure he'll chime in.
-
I'm just about to hit 240,000kms in my 95, thats almost 150k miles. For a vehicle with this many miles, it surely runs better/has less problems than many of the domestics that my friends drive. It's the rust on the body thats getting to her

Probably different for the canadian/us models than the aussie ones.

If it's of any importance, the compressors in the wd21's AFAIK are (at least the OEM ones) made by calsonic. I'm looking into OBA for my 95 once i finish the 93. I think this is the right link http://www.calsonic.com/pdf's/compressor.pdf

Don't think so, my 95 doesn't have a washer, but my 93 does, neither truck leaks so....
-
One time my dad forgot to put the little washer on with the drain plug on and he was all worried about it so we drove to canadian tire bought more oil and did a second change, so it got a double change! Glad to hear she's running good

Those are illegal up here

I'd fix those exhaust leaks, my mileage went up after that. Also is your driving mostly city or highway? Oh and when you fill from empty, how many liters go in?

Congrat's man That was me last year! College is soooo much better.
-
Hmm well then, I'm going to have to look into some more protection for the engine bay. Those rubber things on the side of the skid plate came off when I removed it to change the belts, so they just hang down now. Oh ya sorry to thread jack Ilovemypatty

It was my father's truck at the time, which was almost 4 and 1/2 years ago now. He always over does things. Guess he should have thought of that when it came to rust proofing the frame.
-
So you don't have the three red lights come on when you go through a big puddle? Or is my alternator just POS, and to think it was brand new when I got the truck
-
If I were you, I would get a slightly thicker piece of metal, use silicone to seal it and either rivet or weld the steel in place, and then coat it in tar, or whatever that tough undercoating stuff is, underneath the truck. Thats what my father did on my 93, the floor had just started to get warm, so we were lucky. He used 2 tubes of silicone, 1 can of the undercoating stuff, a 3/8's piece of steel and a sh!tload of rivets. Pulled the carpet up a while ago to have a look, and it looks new under there still. When they saftied my 95 they had to fix that hole, and the floor kinda gets warm. They used too thin gauge of metal me thinks Good luck!
