  1. It can be fixed it just takes time. Do you know anyone who can weld? I would get that crossmember welded back up. Just start plating the frame like crazy.
  2. If you have the LSD rear i would just stick would that...
  3. You gotta let drive engage then throw it in reverse. unless you did that. that always got mine to work.
  4. Thermostat. Mine did the same thing. Couldn't hurt to change it anyways. You are getting close the timing belt/waterpump time as well.
  5. I'm not sure man. I have an auto, there are 2 switches on the brake pedal, the one on the right was the cruise one. Also the dash light only comes on when you press set. The light on the switch itself always worked on mine but when I pressed set I got nothing on the dash. Quick check on the switch. Disconnect the switch, and jump it with a piece of wire. Go for a drive on a deserted road and try it out. Or you could check continuity on the switch in either position. I did both just to make sure. I would do the multimeter check first. Also since you have a manual there should be a switch on the clutch as well so it could be that as well. The same test would apply. Also make sure the switch is getting fully depressed when the pedals are not being touched...There should be little round black things that act as spacers.
  6. You need to get an alignment. Mine was the same after replacing all ball joints and tie rods. After the alignment (they removed the shims) it was back to factory spec. Make sure they do it right.
  7. I had an intermittent no reverse issue and after flushing once, then a drain and fill, and a filter change the reverse works fine 99% of the time again....I've put 78,000kms on this tranny as well and it started doing it not long after i bought the truck.... Try putting it in drive, then quickly into reverse. I used to have to do that to make mine work. Or sometimes if you rev it then let the rpms come down and put it in R it will work.
  8. I would check the steering wheel controls. More specifically the contact ring. Does your horn work? If it doesn't there is part of your problem. Also I tried forever to fix mine and it turned out the switch underneath the dash on the brake pedal was not working. Not just the spacer that pushes it, the switch just didn't function. Swapped it out for another and I have cruise now. There should be a light on the dash that tells you it is set. Of all 3 pathy's that I have owned none of the dash lights have ever burned out so I doubt the bulb is burnt. Hope this helps. When you do get it to set and if it loses speed check the little vacuum hose that goes from the pump to the actuator. Contrary to what a lot of people think the cruise on these trucks is an electric pump that creates vacuum. It has nothing to do with the regular vacuum system.
  9. Just watch out if you have people in the back that are morons they may like to snap them off cough cough my brother in my old pathy.
  10. That is weird, I just pumped mine a few times to seat the caliper to the pad then it was fine. Did your master cylinder get low? Try bleeding the brakes in the proper order RR, RL, ABS pump, FR, FL. Some people have had a bitch of a time bleeding the abs pump
  11. We actually went and bought NEW springs for a JGC v8 today. They are the moog variable rate ones hopefully they will work alright.
  12. I have a set that came off a 95 pathfinder. But shipping might be expensive...
  13. R50s have the same front diff as us, and they, in stock form are always turning. So I don't see it hurting the wd21.
  14. That is the only way I can get my drivers side to engage...
  15. The rear drums on an r50 will last you practically the life of the truck. I was even told this by a mechanic at a Nissan dealer here in ottawa.
  16. You can take a whole pathy apart pretty much with an 8,10,12,14,17,19,21, and 24mm socket set. Don't get cheap ones either.
  17. I thought all the r50 mufflers were the same
  18. I don't see why it would be different?
  19. I don't really "need" my a/c but when it gets humid I have trouble breathing...Also why rip out something that works, if it does in fact work on your truck. Anyway, I was told you could mount it beside the a/c compressor but I don't know how that would work? Could you get a smaller vbelt pulley as well?
  20. It seems like a good idea. But I would like to find a way to do it without having to rip my a/c out.
  21. Does it seem to do it more when it has been raining?
