Do you ever wonder why you see those early to mid 90's chevy trucks that all seem to have the ass end in the air? They have extra leaf springs so you can have more payload aka weight capacity. Do you even know what payload is?

Someone probably ran it low on oil at some point in it's life.

Take this with a grain of salt. The body lift will not decrease your payload at all. It will also not affect your gas mileage, I drove my 3" body lifted pathfinder to the other side of the continent and back and still averaged 23mpg like I did when it was stock. I haul stuff all the time with mine, I have a 3" suspension lift now as well and if you think that you can still rocket around corners like it was stock, well you're an idiot. It still tows great, although with the 33 inch tires it will downshift a lot more. If anything my payload has increased due to the higher spring rate of the lift coil springs.

This is basically the "code" for when your alternator isn't charging. I would tighten up that belt or replace it if it is old/glazed.

My dad has a brand new xterra and honestly I think it sucks. He even isn't very impressed with it. Things feel cheap, its loud, seats are very uncomfortable especially the back they don't even recline like the pathy ones do, and it rides worse than my 6" lifted wd21 yet it sags with anything more than groceries in the cargo area. I can see why they are selling poorly. I also can't stand the traction control that you can't turn off unless you're in 4 low.

That is wierd steve, shows one that fits a 2000 r50. I thought the rad was the same regardless of motor.

Wrong, they self adjust when you use the parking brake. Says so in the manual.

You probably put the tranny in failsafe mode. I've done that a couple of times while spinning.

Actually the hubs will lock if you put into 4wd while stuck, you just have to be gentle on the skinny pedal and you will here a soft thunk followed by no longer being stuck sounds like the brake plates are worn on your hubs. you can replace them with a good used set and be good to go.

Throw a new belt on it first and see how it runs. That will let you know. Sometimes you get lucky.

When I had mine done, the most expensive part was the windshield itself. Cost 335, with taxes, here in Ontario most of that was the windshield. It cracked on me while I was out west and I was going to have it done in Seattle but couldn't afford it at the time, even though it was much cheaper like you have found. Depending on where your truck is from and how well it was maintained there may be rust under the windshield that they need to repair so the new one doesn't leak. The shop I took mine to included that in the price, they had the truck for 4 hours (they informed me of this beforehand) but it only said "r & r windshield" on the invoice. It actually doesn't take them long to pull the glass, they had mine out in half an hour. The place I took mine to was Apple Auto Glass. If the ones out there are anything like the one I went to I would strongly recommend them.

The one thing I really like about the dealer is that when they say bring it in for 10am the truck goes into the shop at 10am and I'm called as soon as it is done/when they need my authorization to go ahead. Almost all of the private shops I've been to, say to bring it at 9am or w/e and it sits there most of the day then they call me at 4:59 saying it needs something or its done but there is no way in hell I could make it over there before they close at 5.

With my jeep springs I believe I had them cut side up, I think I still have them somewhere. Also, do you think it could just be your gravel driveway? Just throwin that out there.
