Yep in Ontario you can get a fine and if you are so unlucky to have the smog police pull you over, they will force you to take your truck off of the road.

I would look into the MAF sensor wiring at the connector, it is common for it to get weak and have this kind of problem, see if wiggling the wires helps.

Mine does that when it's really cold outside. Other than that it drives fine, so I chalked it up to 240k miles and 16 years of use.

When I was looking at the duratracs, the CT website said 218 per tire, installation included, balancing extra. Whatever. When I got there, buddy at the counter tries telling me they're 345 a tire!! I said no no no, look on your site, they're listed at 218 each in the 33x12.5 size. Turns out I was right. I only had to wait 1 day I guess they had some in the local warehouse. Maybe they are more expensive in BC than Ontario. Our winters are a bitch and I've already tried them out on snow/ice covered trails and they're great.

It wouldn't be a big deal to me.

It might be that. My dad had his r50 timing belt done at a shop, and they installed the belt a tooth off, I couldn't get it to run right no matter where I set the distributor. Eventually I tore it down and found the timing belt to be 1 tooth off. It ran OK but at idle it would start to run rough, it really bogged when the shop gave it back and they claimed something else was wrong, yet I dropped off a perfectly running truck I would pull that and check, and throw a new timing belt on there while you're at it.

When you set the timing are you sure you're reading the crank pulley properly? If its at 15 the pointer thing should be in the middle of the 4 marks or if its the 5 mark pulley its on the middle mark. Just throwing that out there.

The KM2s, from what people who've had them have told me, suck in the winter. I would go with the Duratracs, bfg AT, or if you're rich and can afford 2 sets of tires, an actual winter tire.

For what its worth I have the duratracs in 33x12.5 and they've been pretty good in the snow/ice so far. Though your gas mileage will suck and the truck will have no balls (downshift on every hill if yours is auto).

So that altima fan setup is pretty much bolt on?

Which is not that difficult at all. For what its worth I am running a REMY gold alty (for a maxima) and it has performed perfectly, even off road.

Take the bolts out of the striker for the hatch and put 2 washers under the striker and bolt it back down. That will fix the light problem. For your lock, it could be a couple things there are some platic clips (they like 79 cents for new ones) that can break. Taking the panel off and looking inside should show you what is wrong. I've never had issues with my power door locks so I can't help there. Good luck!

In the FSM there is a wiring diagram, check in the garage section of the board. If you don't feel like fixing it the right way you could always just pull the bulb.

They are owned by the same company but they are nowhere close to being the same shock. Monroe is a economical replacement while rancho are more for work/offroad vehicles.

Monroe self adjusting? you mean the sensatrac? I had those before they didn't last very long, just an FYI.

I like the idea but what if you smash it off whilst wheeling?

What brand shocks? I paid 160 for all for rancho RS5000, was even better after the 50 dollar rebate. There is actually a stickied thread in the garage about shocks, actually the right ones for the truck so no messing around.
