  1. I've got two d44 low pinion axles here in AZ. Both are Waggy's. One is a bare housing with chromo shafts, 3.73+ carrier, lock-rite and nothing else. The other is a cleaned axle that hasn't been opened, but has discs, calipers and hubs. I also have some 6-lug Chevy take-off hubs with rotors that are practically brand new along with some flat top knuckles (not machined).
  2. I believe my bearing races were LM67010. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/36792-broken-compression-rod/?p=697589

  4. It looks like a mount for an alarm siren.
  5. My '95 was a daily driver for 8 years with 1.5" lift coils, t-bar crank, Superlift UCAs and 32" MT/Rs. I didn't notice any excessive suspension wear. I added the steering stabilizer, but I don't know if it really helped.
  6. I have an ACT 2nd stage clutch. No real difference daily, but I haven't been stalled on a hill climb since I smoked my last clutch.
  7. I know you've already asked over at N4W, but I think looking up some RuggedRocks/TheKing (Kenny) builds would be beneficial. He never goes the cheap way, but I know he's 3-linked his fair share of Nissans using the HP Ford axles. You've already got the best JY axle available so you might as well build it right. As for the rear, It seems like a step back to switch to leaf sprung. Ryan Gee (GrandpaX) has done a low/no budget rear long travel setup. It was mostly just a matter of extending the rear upper arms. I'd search all of this out for you, but no time.
  8. Regarding the bearings if you do a rebuild. Petroleum jelly is probably the best way to put everything back together. Use it to stick the bearings to the raceway in the box. I don't think there is another way to get everything back together.
  9. It's a taper fit so it won't fully cover the splines. I'd say you're fine.
  10. I've had 32x11.50 BFGs on the steelies. No issues even with no lift on a WD21. I don't think I would off-road that setup though. When aired down, the 32's are probably too wide for the bead. I've never had tyres? Are those any better than regular tires?
  11. The seals wouldn't need to be touched. You won't even "have to" replace the gear oil, but I would certainly recommend it.
  12. Just make it easy and buy the whole axle, calipers and all. If it's '95 or earlier, everything will bolt right up. Just remember that the automatics had 4.6 gears and the manuals had 4.3.
  13. Steal away. James had this truck pretty well wrapped up before I got to it (again). The front speakers were blown in a week and the gas gauge is far off, but it's working well.
  14. I hope so. I've put a little bit of work in on that truck and dragged it out of the snow once.
  15. He's a Nissan fixture in Phoenix. Very cool guy and always active in cleanups and organizing trail runs.
  16. As far as I know, the 2wd D21 pickups sat at the same height as the WD21 Pathfinders. The 4wd D21 had risers on the body mounts that made it sit about 1.5" higher off of the frame.
  17. I did sell one and got what I wanted. I haven't heard from the guy since so I don't know if he's wheeling it or not. If so he's out in Fountain Hills. The Beast is well built with an emphasis on upgrading comfort (r50 center console, 93+ map lights, cb mounted under the stereo in the OEM space, roof mounted speakers in the back with the old pods removed for space, Wet Okole seat covers and nice tint. Of course this one was swapped to a manual with a little blood and sweat from yours truly (lots of sweat in September). It even has the 94-95 3rd brake light spoiler from my old 95. I should be up for some wheeling soon. I wouldn't mind breaking it in going to CK. Who's still out there? ONAZ, N4W, NOR?
  18. I'll make this easy: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/20378-the-beast/page-5?hl=beastpath
  19. I guess I like to refer to it as "snorting" since I usually notice that out of the open filter after installing headers. Farting is what comes out of a Fartley Davidson compensation mobile.
  20. I run a Superflow MV50 to air up. I've never had a problem and it's faster than any other OBA/12v compressor that I've seen. The cheap compressors will give up after a few runs.
