  1. Hi all, Excuse me if the same topic is elsewhere and if you know where please point me in that direction. I was not able to find it. In the last two months my 1995 pathfinder sometimes gives a clicking sound of sorts when I turn the key in the ignition instead of starting up. Then I turn off the key and after 15 seconds, put the key in on position give about another 10 seconds and turn the key to start and voila, it starts. Could anyone of the gurus here tell me what should I start looking at or if they know where I could find a thread on this forum that would be of help? Thanks all.
  2. Thank you Cuong. For some reason I thought that a faulty lock timer would close the locks down; still trying to understand how the lock timer opens them up by itself. Thank you SpecialWarr; how can I disable the lock timer and where is it located? Thanks.
  3. Hi all, I tried the search on the forum but could not find a similar thread. If you know/find another thread with similar issue, please point me in that direction. My 1995 XE had no issues with power locks but couple of weeks back I have noticed that the locks sometimes open up by themselves. I tried locking all rear doors, passenger doors and driver door manually pushing down the locks & the doors lock. But sometimes, I find that they open up themselves (all of them) without me unlocking or anything. I also noticed that when I am pushing down the locks, two of the locks (passenger right and rear right) seem to have some sort of upward pressure when I am pushing it down. So not sure what I could do, is this also related to the lock timer that I have read about in other threads? Any advice? Thanks
  4. Thanks; I checked factorynissanparts.com - front bumper center has different part numbers for the hardbody and pathfinder. Guess so far the second ebay link is the better option. If only I could find a used ARB wd21 bumper, that would be great.
  5. I found following for $114 + $44 shipping - does the price seem okay? http://www.ebay.com/itm/FRONT-BUMPER-BAR-END-FINISHER-PARK-LIGHT-BLACK-7-/201035793117?fits=Year%3A1995%7CMake%3ANissan%7CModel%3APathfinder%7CSubmodel%3AXE%7CEngine+-+Liter_Display%3A3.0L&hash=item2eceaac2dd:g:iOEAAOSw54xUWbTi&vxp=mtr
  6. Hi all, I have had a 1995 Pathfinder XE for some time and have been eyeing black primed front bumper and related parts. I found the following for 1995 Nissan Pickup XE on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FRONT-BUMPER-BLACK-VALANCE-FINISHER-VALANCE-BRACKET-10PC/121274412433?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3D4f176db984604bb9ab895da43d0f6de5%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D171747440030 It has front center bumper, ends, park/signal lamps, brackets and front valance. The price is $147+$62 shipping. Any advice if these pickup parts would fit on 1995 wd21; also if you know of similar deals for 1995 wd21 that would be awesome too. Thanks,
  7. Hi - wondering if you found any grill guard for your 95 Pathfinder. I, too, have been thinking about any of these -> grill guard/brush guard/bull bar/nice non oem bumper - the only thing I found after lurking this forum and looking around online is an 91-97 pickup ARB bumper at 4wheelparts.com but that is damn expensive - $900 ; even if I love it, not going with it. I have recently got a 1995 Pathfinder with 155K miles. Really like it but front bumper shows its age and has had some minor abuse; dont want to replace it an OEM bumper so been looking at what other options I have for the front of my Pathfinder.
  8. Hi Soninihon, Just started looking for a headlight relay kit for my 1995 - curious what website and what kit you bought? I am always hesitant to do electrical stuff - blame it on my ignorance; so thought I'll ask someone who has already done it
  9. The one I posted earlier works for 1994, 1995. For 1996, the model identification number under the VIN/vehicle identification number on the identification plate uses the 6th character. The 6th character can be R, T or V. R is XE, T is SE and V is LE. Here is an example from 1996: TLPULRFR50EUA T-> Wagon (Manufacturer's descripton not mine :-) ) LP -> VG33E engine U -> U = 2 wheel drive, Z = 4 wheel drive L -> LH drive R -> R=XE, T=SE and V=LE F -> F=Manual transmission, A=Automatic transmission R50 -> Model E -> Multiport fuel injection system U -> U=Non California USA, V=California USA, N=Canada A -> Standard (no idea what the manufacturer means by standard)
  10. The info I am putting below might have been discussed in this thread but at least I could not find it; so please excuse a newbie while I put in the following that I dug up. When you open the hood, near the passenger side hood hinge there is a vehicle identification plate. Right below the VIN is the 14 character model identifier. The 9th character tells whether it is xe or se. It is J for XE and P for SE. For example mine is WHLYD21DJFBU87 - 9th character is J meaning XE. Hope this helps someone new like me in quickly identifying XE/SE.
