So your battery grounded out due to the inner-fender ..less nature of your region? If so then yeah, check those fusible links. Given that a piece of wire installed to bypass the link fixed it then, definitely. I would replace them with proper links asap, as they are there to prevent damage to other systems during a spike. Adam to the rescue! If not I think mine cost me 30-40 usd at a local dealer a few years ago. 36 seems to stand out in my mind, but honestly I do not remember for sure.

It's in the driveway go have a look Have not done anything worthy of a pic in way to long (needs some welding done before wheeling again), last few weeks it's been in the driveway during the week and moving heavy loads on weekends
-
Good, brakes are nothing the screw around with, IMO it is the most important system on a vehicle. If there is a problem don't put it off or patch it, fix it asap and do it right the first time.
-
In the line or just the wheel cylinder? Either way not a hard or time consuming fix.
-
Lessen learned? Maybe, next time just take the minute it takes to go out, pop the hood and look, when someone suggests something simple? So where's the leak and how long did it take to fix it?
-
People suck!
-
While your at it, find the leak.. and fix it!
-
If the pedal was mushy then adding fluid is not enough, even temporarily... you must bleed the system before you find that you have no brakes or not enough brakes when you need them!

But that would not be right either Remember that both sizes came stock on SE's So there is no "non-SE" size. So perhaps "Standard" size? With the 31's being "Optional" or "31's" haha One standard SE tires size was no more a rule that almost any other "option" on these trucks. Your right CO_pathfinder, we have been over this before, many times over many years. and with very few exceptions, there are no rules for differences between X and S E's
-
And your understanding was? By your "non-SE size" statement, it appears to be flawed
-
"non-SE size"... that is incorrect.

Oh and $20 became my normal charge only after it became apparent that people were more than willing to pay it. When I first started I charged nothing, but $20 was the typical amount most people offered me as a "thank you"
-
Charge for recoveries... I used to do it with my yota, $20 per vehicle was my norm. But it was also based on person, attitude and situation. One arrogant full sized chevy owner I charged $80 on my second way by him. First time I drove off after hearing "There is no _______ way that piece of ____ asian wanna be truck, could ever pull a "real" truck out" So I left him in the ditch and drove off. 45 or so minutes later I came back by and guess who was flagging me down 10 minutes and $80 later he was out. And then several were free, including a lady in a small Toyota or Honda wagon with a new born.

As I mentioned, not all were unwarranted...

Because disliking something just because you don't like what happened to them would drop their rating. Hover over your member name to see the number surrounded by green. And in past versions of the forum software there was a similar function, but it was abused so heavily by members of countless forums that the developer was asked overwhelmingly by their customers (aka forum operators) to remove it. Not saying that none of the negative clicks were warranted, we even had deserving members, but overall it did not work well. You can "dislike" what happened to someone, the same way you have been doing it, by posting a comment about it.

I am going to close this thread, but not before I point you to another that already has three pages of oil discussion in it. There are actually a few threads about oil that have been posted over the years, but the info/opinions in this one should give you a good start. Feel free to post and continue the talk in this thread What Is Your Prefered Motor Oil

Deleted the second identical thread and moved this one to the General Forums because it is not year specific and you may get more people viewing it.

and/or is the switch sticking, the lever all the way down?

Fixed them. New fuse for the CB and cleaned up the ground on the radio.

Loaded it with a heavy load, attached an even heavier trailer to it, fueled it up and made it drive over 200 miles in partially heavy rain and wind.

Why new T-Bars?
