And will be welcomed into the fold
-
hmm I have heard of this problem before and afaik it requires the replacement of the injector... but I may be wrong, perhaps someone else here knows for sure.
-
Yep, easy fixes are the best ones

First... Welcome to the NPORA Forums Now two things... One don't use 4WD on pavement.. even if it is wet. that is not considered a low traction surface. It will end up causing "wind up" in the transfer case and can damage it And two, never turn sharply (to steering lock) while 4WD is engaged, it can damaged your front CV joints and possibly lead to other damage. The "dancing" IMO was likely caused by you being in 4WD (if I read that you were correctly) and the grinding was probably the CV's being forced to work at the extreme angle (steering cranked all the way) Something to remember about 4x4's is that "4WD" is not the same as "AWD" (All Wheel Drive) they are two different systems, meant for two different general uses. EDIT: Hmm just noticed that this was an R50... If things are different that what I described above someone please chime in

I answered this in your intro thread

On some I have found that it is a bit decieving.. some require a lot more effort turning the key to get the lock to pop. When I first got mine I was almost afraid of breaking the key... so I made the guy at the car lot do it.. to prove that it worked before I would try it again. *Besides, if he broke it prior to the sale then they would have to fix it

Yep I would agree there. Imagine the cost of shipping on those parts... the steering box alone wieghs over 32lbs. So unless you get everything from one person, it could add up really fast. Plus it all depends on where you found them on how much the shipping would be.

max diameter tire size on stock suspension

Yes, I have a set of BFG AT 31x10.5's on stock chrome wheels. -
Meaning? I installed an IA brace... so yeah, I have. That was when I first noticed the mounts... the "extra" unused bolt hole. But it was not until today that I remembered it

Here we go with the 33 heads on a 30 block you don't want that. If you were to combine the two engines you would want the 33 block and 30 heads.
-
Same engine different intake. Any Pathfinder/Hardbody tranny made for a VG30 will bolt right up. VG33 matched trannys should also work, but you may have to deal with wiring and mounting differences because they were originally in another generation vehical Yes, but there is a bushing/spacer that may need to be removed. Slick has personal experience with this VG33 block with VG30 heads, makes for teh easiest upgrade using a VG33. If you want to use the intake from a 33 then you will have to aquire the wiring harness and all of the sensors for the 33. Then you will have to make it fit and work in the Pathy.

You know, I totally forgot about this until today when I was pulling a steering box from a 94. Our frames are setup to except a right hand steering box... with no modifications (for mounting to the frame). Just FYI

Ok I just had to dig this one up from the past... Mookie, that looks great, I have always loved your truck and this one appears to be another example of a job well done How is your truck doing, anything you would do differently if you were to do it all over again? And this truck, is it still around? How is it holding up... and problems? Oh and how did it do off-road compared to stock.. and to your leaf sprung conversion? Again, fine job

I don't know about the R50's but this might help you out Pathfinder Service Manuals
-
Yep, sometimes you just have to take another route... good luck and get yourself another 4x4 when you are in position to do so
-
Could it be as simple as your idle (and/or warm up idle) being set to low? Did you adjust the idle or throttle linkage while you were troubleshooting your prior problems?
-
Advance Adapters has some engine mounts for a Chevy 4.3L V6 listed on the site and in the online catalog Engine Mounts : CHEVY 4.3 V6-NISSAN 86 & UP 4WD Can't hurt to call and ask about V8 compatibility or other offerings for that application. While you have them on the phone, you can also ask about the engine/transmission or transmission/transfer case adapters. ---------------------------------------------------------- That said, I also align myself with the VG30e options mentioned above.
-
I agree... but if can't do that...
-
Forgot to include the b. booster/M. Cyl in my comments above.. same goes for them. thank you SW for confirming that
-
Give it a little time and you'll find that you don't have enough room to get the Pathy in there
-
I could be wrong but to me it would make no sense at all for the steering box to remain on the same side of the frame as it is on ours... I mean if your going to have the steering wheel on the other side then for simplicity's sake the box should also be on that side, otherwise a linkage system would have to be designed to connect the two and that would create many more points of failure in an already weak steering system. Oh and for the record, I would imagine that our left hand drive trucks steering box's were the ones that moved over V6, Terrano, SW? Any of you guy's able to offer info on this?
-
No problem So that issue is solved now? If so, get that cooler in
-
maybe, but I am kinda thinking not in this situation Steve?
-
Yep same as my 88 (just short of 300K) At least to my knowlege they have never been adjusted.. and the amount of sag the front end had before I did it supports that.
-
How long do you have to wait before you get your new one?
