  1. Thanks for all the input. I've taken the skid plate off and repainted it with my hammered looking paint to match all the exterior trim. The tank is solid and very clean. I think some branches or something poked through the holes in the skid plate. JB weld is working better than not doing anything at all. So, if you drained the tank and let it air dry for a few days, it would still have bad vapors in there for the whole welding purpose? Hmmmmmm! Decisions, decisions! sssh I guess I will let it go for awhile until I figure something out or find another tank. I was wanting to find another tank and have it cleaned and sealed and then paint the outside with that Por15 so it would be darn nere puncture proof. I'll let everyone know once I get things figured out.
  2. :help: I've been looking all over the place for replacement fuel tanks for not soooo much $$$$$$....Not having too good of luck. I think I poked two tiny pin holes in the tank. I jacked the ass end of the Pathy up so the fuel will move away from the holes and I cleaned and dried the area. Took some JB Weld and put it over the holes. Lots better, but not 100% cured. I'm wanting to get a new tank and clean it and seal it from the inside. Then paint the outside with a POR15, E.R.F., or Rino lining type paint to prevent puncture. Any ideas?

I would love to get the wheels off the Frontiers that look like the dark hammered look. SWEEEEEEEEET LOOK!
  4. Alright Greg, No reason to get technical :type: on me. I've heard :gossip: the term used a lot on forums. End of subject. I took the step pads off the bars and found one rusted out completely :furious: . Going to cut the rest out and weld in some metal, sand, and paint with E.R.F. (Permanant rust & corrosion inhibitor paint). Put the pads back on and install the bars. I'm waiting to put those on after I get my BL on and get the exhaust done. Will be taking pic's on the progress of the exhaust install.
  5. Sorry, I thought the tire was Yokohoma Geolander. TireRack does have those on there site for little over $100.00 a pop. I love my Kumho's, but not too sure if I want to go with them in 33's or try another tire. Looking for lower price range, but still keeping the quality of tire. I'm thinking that the BFG's are over rated. That's just me. If they were that good and everyone was getting them, the price shouldn't be soooo darn high. It's called "supply and demand". The more you build and sell, the cheaper they should be.....Right? I'm just a dumb white American boy, but what is the value of the American dollar to the Canadian? -alcohol-
  6. Love the bumper! So, what would it cost for someone that is interested in getting one of those done? I do like that better than the ARB's. For the Tires, look on Tirerack.com. They have them there. Lots cheaper than at a tire shop.
  7. Vaccuum huh? I need to look at mine. Everything works fine except when I want to blast the heat or the AC. I turn it to 4 and nothing. 1, 2, & 3 work fine, but not 4... Bundy, have you had your AC coolant checked? It might need to be recharged.
  8. Better Check Your A$$! I think you were rapped! Sorry Bud!
  9. Same darn thing in my world. You knew what I was talking about, so not too much different.
  10. -bounce- -bounce- -bounce- Happy go Lucky meeeee! Just got back from the salvage yard with a great pair of nerf bars. $200-$300 dollars new or even on ebay.....I got them for $40 for the pair! I thought that was awsome! If I was guttsey enough, I could've drove out of there with a hell of a lot more then what I did. They didn't even look in the truck or anything. I'll be going back for more in the near future after I get eveything done with the Pathy. Anyway, It's a '92 Pathy and it has a sway-a-way tire rack on the back. Anyone interested that is near Iowa for a possible pick up or something? I'll find out what they are wanting for it. I'll yank it off myself so the cost will stay down. Let me know!
  11. -study- I was reading that also. I'm sure, when all said and done. SAS will be done.
  12. SWEET A$$ RIDE! I haven't meant the guy yet, but he lives a few miles away from me. Des Moines Off Road did the work for him. He had his Pathy in a few days after I had mine in there for some bushing work. I'll have to get in touch with him to find out what all he's done. One of the guys working on the Pathy mentioned that he is out in Colorado almost every year off roading in the mountains. Any of you guys/gals out in the area, keep your eyes open for him. I'll try to get more info for all interested.
  13.   Loven' the tires! Those are the ones I really want to get, but in 33's. I have a buddy of mine giving me his rock crawlers with 33" Coopers on them. Can't wait to get them on. I just got my BL and need to get that on. Have everything for the dual exhaust, so I'm hoping to get that on with in the next couple of weeks. I'll post pic's as soon as all is said and done. Down the road, I'll have the Mickey's on, but too much money right now. :sniff:
  14. Thanks 88, I'll look into that.
  15. AMEN Kill! Once I get the BL and tires on, I'll snap some pic's. Oh yes, and the dual exhaust. It's going to be unique. You'll see! sly
  16. Yep, I know I wet myself the first time I saw that Pathy! I'm soooooo Darn jealous that I have one of his pic's as my screen saver. I guarentee I would have soiled myself if I was in that Frontier tipped on it's side.
  17. Just curious if any of you know right off hand what the standard running temp. is on Pathy's tranny? I'm told they should stay below 200. 180 would be great. How would I go about figuring out what my tranny is running? Thanks in advance!
  18. You know, The tire looks sweet up on top, but if you have a garage or something carport to pull into or under, it's a PITA! I can't pull into my garage with the tire in the basket. Expecially once I get my BL on. I'm hoping I can make it in with the basket on the top. If not, off comes the basket. :sniff: Good luck with that!
  19. Well Jason, Is the inside gutted? Are you going to use it just for off-roading? If so, get busy with the elbow grease and rough the inside and Rhino/POR15 it. As for the seats, you can find many kinds of stock, racing, bucket, baja, etc. on ebay. If you are thinking about baja or racing bucket seats, go also with 5-point harness. Not too sure on what your financial situation is, but if the inside is going to be gutted, why not add a rolecage for extra saftey? Good luck and take some pic's for us all on your progress!
  20. Bottom line - unless you have a service center or mechanic that you know for a fact you can trust (they are out there), you might as well bend over, lube up, and say ahhhh - 'cause you're gonna get honed. You can count on them giving you a bull@#$t story, particularly if you have a woman drop it off/pick it up - they figure they can get away with just about anything.  AMEN Brother!
  21. :furious: My co-worker just got her car back from the shop that busted two of her bolts off by impact. DUMB ASSES! I wish we could just beat people for being stupid! Depends on some things though. My father-in-law still gives me crap about tightening his hitch bolts too damn tight. It took an impact to get them off and they busted two trying to get them off. Yes, I'm a brute!
  22. -bounce- -bounce- -bounce- -bounce- I found Phil! Hubs are going bye bye! Thanks for the heads up Slick & 88. I'll keep that in mind when I order new hubs.
  23. :help: Has anyone seen or have heard from Pathfinder Phil lately? Wasn't too sure if he's been gone for Spring Break or what. If I don't hear from him soon, the Warn Hubs will be back on the selling block! Phil, if you are out there somewhere, email me so I can get those sent out to ya!
  24. Yeah, pic's would be nice. I'm getting ready tp take some rock crawlers and Cooper 33's off my buddy's hand. I'm thinking I'll be taking them for $100.00 or less. Not too sure on what the tread is like, so I might need to get some new tires. Thinking about staying with my Kumho's, but go with the 33's.
  25. :furious: :furious: :furious: I 2nd the Federal Crime bit! I've had my '65 Mustang stolen from me also. By luck, we found it unharmed. Think they wanted a joy ride. F'ers should be shot! Good luck with the hunt!
