  1. My Pathfinder actually has an Infinti QX4 fob. The PO did it; they basically look the same, but the Infiniti one has chrome on the bottom ring and has an Infiniti logo. Your Pathfinder definitely had keyless from the factory. My fob doesn't say the model on it though...You're completely sure the batteries are good?
  2. Give us pics and we will be able to tell...
  3. Call or go to the dealer service desk. Run your VIN and they can tell you standard and optional equipment. They told me that mine has an LSD, but with 110k miles it doesn't' work.
  4. Are you positive the vehicle was equipped with Keyless from the factory? Not all had them...depends on the year and trim model. Sorry, but just want to make sure.
  5. Where did you order the KYBs from? Is there anywhere cheaper than Tirerack? How much did you pay in labor? I need to know what is reasonable... Thanks!
  6. Hmmm...that's bizzare. I pulled the original plugs on my Pathfinder with 100k miles and they looked great, but still replaced them. Good job by buying the correct plugs, a lot of people screw that part up.
  7. I thought new mounts weren't expensive. I know that OE is the best, but you can go with KYB from www.tirerack.com and it's not terrible.
  8. Could you post a picture of what you are talking about? Since the truck is under warranty, I would see the dealer, but my sunroof has what I think you are talking about.
  9. This board is a bit too civil for me, but I don't spend much time here. Most of my time is spend at www.tehdriven.com, an off-topic car forum, mainly guys like me who migrated from www.bimmerforums.com. TDF is a very close but dirty community. I wish NPORA was like that but I'm not gonna be the one who pops the NPORA cherry.
  10. Yes. I would be putting the 9/16" spacer that Rocky Road sells on the front struts. The rear would be left alone. Cool, thanks for the advice. Where did you get your 1" spacer from? Where else can I buy spacers? :help: EDIT: Forgot to ask if you got new strut mounts. Did you?
  11. Well, I started this thread six months ago and am now finally getting around to actively looking for a lift. After swaying back and forth and reading opinions here and on the AC board, I'm going with the OME suspension/OME shocks/KYB struts. Is it necessary to get new OEM strut mounts? How long are the original strut bolts? How many are there? I can't do the work myself so Ill end up having a shop install the suspension, so I'll need to find out what length I need and how many to buy... Thanks...
  12. Wow. I'm very, very impressed. +1 on his advice too.
  13. Any filter you want. I just changed mine with Mobil-1 synthetic and a Purolator oil filter, but that was just because I didn't feel like spending my lunch money on a Mobil-1 filter too.
  14. Not sure about Westin quality, I'm sure they are equal or better than OE. I would be more concerned about looks; if you put chrome step bars on there I will personally come up to Canada and kill you. No smiley there. Do you even need step bars? If I were you I would pick up another set of OEM.
  15. Hmmm...the gravel road could have knocked a sensor loose but that's just a wild and probably wrong guess. I don't think the last time you got your brakes done has anything to do with it. I don't even know where to start with this one, other than to tell you that you were correct in checking fluid level first. VERY IMPORTANT. Make doublely sure that the fluid is the correct level.
  16. If you want to know any more you can go to your dealership and ask a service manager if he could print out your vehicle history report. You just give your VIN and they can show you warranty stuff, options, date of manufacture (mm/dd/yyyy) etc. I learned a LOT about my Pathfinder when I did that.
  17. I should have been more clear, my uncle USED to work for Bridgestone, then Michelin, then Yokohama. Now he is with a budget tire maker, and concertrates on China operations. When I last saw him and told him I needed new tires, it killed us because he left Yokohama 3 weeks before! I could have gotten free Geolandars! :o Tecciball, if I don't sell the car I'm getting either Destination A/Ts, Geolandar AT IIs or H/TS's. I don't offroad so...
  18. Are you talking about side steps? SE models have always had them, and they are good for preventing accidents like what you described, and also keep mud and debris from dinging up the rockers. LE models had wussy running boards. Sliders>Side Steps>Nothing>Running Boards
  19. I have that size on my Pathfinder now stock. I'm 99.99% sure you can run 265/70-16 stock. Tmorgan4 has 265/75-16 worn BFG ATs on his stock SE wheels, but I don't remember if he has a lift or not.
  20. Absolutely agree with that, but since the 1999.5+ has plastic bumpers, I was under the impression that you cannot Rhinoline plastic? Am I wrong on that?
  21. And thank you for stickying my thread...hopefully it will be an informative addition to the other one...lots of great info.
  22. Not even close to redline, but I had a loose belt that squealed so loud the whole town could hear it. So to stop the squealing I had to stomp the gas so the belt would catch. Don't worry, I got it fixed! When the motor is cold I don't go above 3k...I know better
  23. No, actually I didn't. It was going to be a Christmas gift; I had it all ordered and then Mom (who was buying the stuff) got paranoid because my MAF went out and pretty much starved my engine for oil. We thought the engine was going to go, and if it did Dad wasn't sure if he wanted to sell it with a bad engine or what. So I got a nice new Canon SD500 Digital ELPH camera instead. As it turns out, the VG33 is pretty strong. The engine burns oil when revved high when cold, i.e. rev it to redline on a cold start and you will get smoke and I think it consumes a few quarts between changes but nothing urgent. A replacement motor is in the future. When I started it up this morning I could hear the lifters, not a good sign, so I'll check the oil. But, my suspension is blown and my tires are almost worn out, so I'll ask Dad what he wants to do with it since it's his money. I'm a lucky son and I only pay for gas. Hell, he bought the damn thing!
  24. Ehh, good call, but two reasons: 1. I needed to get started on my group project in Microsoft Access for my summer classes. 2. I have posted the link several times. I normally post it and I will now...I shall edit this post with the link. Edit: The thread that should be stickied or merged with the other one...*cough*
