So whats the word on this, did they announce it at SEMA? I don't see anything on their website.
-
Oops forgot that was an SE only option. :X
-
I assume you meant UPPER control arms right?
-
Lets see what should you know about 1g pathys... They're a great deal! Seriously these motors will run forever (my 88 has 206k miles on it and doesn't burn a drop of oil). 17 MPG is about average, you can get a bit more if you clean the MAF sensor (see the how to section in the garage for more on that) change your Oxygen sensor change your plugs and make sure your air filter is clean, but don't expect to get much more than 20mpg freeway. Also if you still have the stock shocks there should be a switch somewhere that says Sport/Touring or something like that. It adjusts the stiffness of your shocks, I mostly drive with it on sport now and there is a noticable difference (body roll is almost zero and it's definatly not spongy).

Well you can do Jeep Grand Cherokee springs in the rear, those should be REAL cheap from a Junkyard (look in the how to sub forum in the garage for the modifications neccesary to the springs). You definatly have to buy A-arms, rough country makes the cheapest best quality a arms by far (they are actually rebranded Superlift a arms). To get the a arms call rough country and tell them that you want the a arms from the nissan hardbody lift kit. Next you can fab your own idler arm brace. 88pathoffroad has done this, but he's not around right now. I'm sure somebody else knows how to make one... And thats about it, it'll give you around 3 inches of lift.

SC88Pathy replied to nakta's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
The sway bar is the long ass funny shaped bar that runs paralel to the axle. It connects in two places. The other bar that connects the axle in one spot and runs diagonal to the axle is a part of the suspension that I can't remember the name of right now. -
The engine for 87-89 pathys is a VG30i. I concur that definatly sounds like a timing belt failure, I hope your engine didn't self destruct! And have you tried running engine codes yet?
-
Well oil and oil filter are pretty much universal. My suggestion would be to pester a friend to come over and go through it with you, it's really basic and anybody should be able to do it. I'm sure that the turbo diesel engines are different but removing the oil filter on the v6 can be major pain in the neck. Not sure about the specifics for your vehicle but there's nothing to be scared of.
-
I'm sure it has something to do with the differences in the VG30E and VG30I engines, there are definatly some major differences in the intakes between the two so I would assume that would lead to differences in the exhausts of the two.

Yes it's a very select club. There's also a special subset of the LSD owners club, the LSD with disc brakes club!
-
I just read their big brake write up and found this: HAHAHAHA!
-
Yup just means you got an lsd that's all, I think i gotta pic of it somewhere... here linky pictures a couple of posts down... http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showto...&hl=lsd+sticker
-
Hehehe I saw a regular non turbo 80s supra in the junkyard the other day. Had all kinds of stickers on it, like "turbo inside" and "warning extreme boost" and all other kinds of aftermarket parts stickers. Not only was it a nonturbo it didn't have a single preformace mod on it anywhere! All it had was an extremely ugly exhaust tip!
-
You could try and swap in the non turbo 300zx heads and cams. You could also just put a turbo sticker on, and pretend you have a turbo (just imagine the pathfinder going faster!). You could also change the numbers on the speedo! (look I do 0-100 in one second!)

Yea I see pictures. And all I can say is that I'm glad I live in California. I do believe that is an ignition coil. Hmm not exactly sure what that is. I'll take a look at mine and figure out what it is. (looks like it's right in front of washer fluid container right?)
-
Did someone say asshat? Anyway I'v been thinking of doing this too, since my grill has a big crack in it.
-
I just went to the junkyard and picked up another lego wheel for $20. That was several months ago and I still haven't gotten a good tire on it yet (last one I picked up had a broken belt! )
-
That does it CB radio w/ PA goes to third spot on my list of things to do for pathy. (1. Being finish stereo install, 2. being replace the bald ass tire on my spare).
-
WHAT!!! :o You found a light bar at a junkyard!! :o  "Best find EVER" I don't think you can keep your emblems, I suppose you could superglue them on the bar. That would look kinda silly though...

First ever test score of "zero" - Landwind SUV
SC88Pathy replied to njbray's topic in General Forums
Wrong! (Hehe I feel like 88! ) You can buy a Skyline in the states, just not from nissan. You have to buy them from Motorex, they import skylines put them through the required crash tests and sell them here, of course they cost waaay more than if you were to buy one in japan. Also the next model of skyline will be sold in the US. Nissan is stopping production on the current model, and the new model debues in 2009 (I think? not exactly sure on that date). -
Prepare for some fairly merciless mocking because you're using a Fram filter. But not from me I got nothing against Fram filters. Better hope that the filter seals extremely well, specially if you plan to play in any mud holes!
