  1. I will reveal who had who after we've confirmed that everyone has received their presents. Also you can open your presents as soon as you get them! And post pics!
  2. Well there was Clear Creek, but it was closed due to alleged asbestos danger. I heartily recommend Hollister Hills. More than enough trails to satisfy a day of trail runs, with a wide range of difficulty from super super easy all the way up to one of the toughest trails in California (the infamous tank traps). Plus onsite camping!
  3. You guys need to stop talking about dirt bikes, it keeps on bringing up my desire to get one!

    Got Job?

Welcome to the unemployment club! You can find directions to the nearest soup kitchens on the table by the door.
  5. Noooooo! You really don't want to do that to your PS3, it will be MORE likely to overheat. Not to mention ruining your warrantee. Seriously I have never ever had an issue with overheating, despite running the PS3 all day long in about 85 degree heat.
  6. Redfinder wants a brain for christmas!
  7. All right everyone should have their Santas! Happy shopping and merry christmas/holiday festive season®!

    Goozex

OK so most of you are probably going Goozex? WTF is that, is Andrew drunk again? No I'm not. Goozex is pretty much the coolest thing ever if you're a gamer. Basically it is a game trading service. You join up and put up some of your old games that you no longer play for trade. Somebody else then requests that game, you send it and you get points for it (more points for the newer/rarer/more desirable a game is). You then use these points to request games you want. They have an amazing selection, everything from the newest PS3/360 games to obscure Dreamcast games. Requesting a game only costs $1 and when you send a game to be traded you only have to cover the shipping (usually under $2 for most games) This service is great to keep yourself from getting ripped off by trading in your games at your local gamestop/video game store. You can even trade games that your video game store won't even take (good luck trading that copy of Madden 2k1 though...) Now why am I bringing this up? Well simple by clicking my referral link and then signing up you get 100 free points and on free game credit. Pretty much you get one free game (of course that's only a 100 point game, so don't be expecting to get a copy of Fallout 3). But Andrew what are you getting out of this? Simple, if you successfully send a game to someone else I get 100 points and a trade credit. You of course don't have to trade any games. You can just request your free 100 point game and never use the service again. So if it seems like something you'd be interested in check out www.goozex.com And if you decide to sign up click my referral link: http://www.goozex.com/trading/asp/referral...r=6151877456648 Also be sure to put my username in when you register: Ipse Dixit
  11. Added some suggestions to the OP
  12. OP has been updated with guidelines! Please read them!
  13. Sorry I never posted that: Generally the rule is don't be a cheapskate. I understand that times are tough right now, but your gift really shouldn't be worth less than $10. Now that doesn't mean that you can't get creative. If you can make something cool and you think your santa-ee will enjoy then by all means make it! HOWEVER you better be CERTAIN that the person you're giving it to will like it! If you're not sure, ask someone before you send it! (Feel free to ask me if you don't know who to ask, I'll find out for you without revealing any info to your santa-ee) I'm going to update the first post with some general guidelines asap
  14. Also if you have any special shipping requirements please let me know. Also if you are absolutely 100% opposed to having an international santa-ee, let me know.
  15. SIGN UPS END NOV 14! PLEASE PM ME YOUR MAILING ADDRESS AND THE NAME YOU WOULD PREFER ON THE PACKAGE!
  16. Unfortunately I'm around my family all year long, so while xmas is a time to celebrate family and friends I still feel obligated to get at least one nice present for everyone in my direct family. And last year I do believe we had a minimum limit, no maximum. Heck if someone feels generous and wants to buy an ARB bumper as a gift let them!
  17. Yes I'll do the organizing For the best really since I don't have any money right now (I don't even know how I'm going to buy my family presents... Sigh more to add to my credit card debt)
  18. SIGN UPS END NOV 14! NO IF'S AND'S OR BUT'S PLEASE PM ME YOUR MAILING ADDRESS AND THE NAME YOU WOULD PREFER ON THE PACKAGE! GUIDELINES (Note Santa means the person giving the gift, Santa-ee means the person receiving the gift) 1. Don't be a cheapskate! The minimum gift value should be $10 (before shipping), there is no maximum. However if you're a creative person and can make something cool that you think your santa-ee would like by all means go ahead! Once again don't be a cheapskate, that painting you made in high school art class just won't cut it. Make sure that your santa-ee will enjoy it though! If you're not sure feel free to ask someone who knows your santa-ee or ask me and I'll find out for you somehow) 2. All gifts should be received by Dec. 24! There are people from around the world participating in this, so if your santa-ee doesn't reside in the same country that you do make sure to send your package early! If you think your gift might not make it on time let me know ASAP as there will be consequences for delinquent santas! 3. THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES IF YOU DON'T SEND A GIFT! I suggest getting package tracking of some sort to prove that you sent your gift, as we will tend to side with the santa-ee. (Yes this is a guilty until proven innocent system, deal with it) 4. Have fun! Remember this is supposed to be fun for everyone! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL! Suggestions Here are some suggestions that I have to make your Secret Santa experience most excellent. 1. Don't use UPS to ship to Canada from the US. Apparently UPS is a pain in the butt about international shipments. I would suggest using the USPS, either Priority Mail International, or First Class mail (depending on the size of the package). Of course any suggestion your specific Santa-ee has should take precedence over my suggestions. 2. Keep all receipts! Now I'm not saying that anyone will accuse someone of not sending a package when they actually did, but keep your receipts (especially mailing receipts). If you're using the USPS to ship your package get delivery confirmation. Any other service get package tracking. Also if you're using the USPS and have your own scale use paypall shipping! You get the same rate you would from the post office but Delivery Confirmation only costs 18 cents! 3. Give your Santa a break! Post a wishlist of some sort. This can be done in a number of ways. Post a list here of things that you like! For example: Hi Santa! Here are the type of things that I would love to receive as a gift. I'm an avid photographer so anything photo related would be cool. I currently have a Canon Digital Rebel XTi, a Canon Powershot S3IS, a Kodak Instamatic (if you buy me film for this I will give you so many hi5's), and an older Nikon 35mm SLR (fully manual). I'm an avid gamer, I have a PS3 and I just got a Nintendo Wii. I love movies of all types, foreign films especially (specifically foreign action and comedy) And obviously I love my pathy and everything offroad. I wear a size large shirt from most shops (medium if they do "comfort" fit or "fat american" fit as I call it). You can also make a wishlist on many major websites and then link to it. Amazon has the most robust selection and wishlist functions IMO. You can link to it in your sig to make it super easy for your santa to find your list.
  19. BOO HOO Of course the media is going to find people who say that Most people are intelligent and vote for Obama because they feel that he is the better leader for our country NBC just reported that according to exit polls the economy is the main concern people had in choosing their candidate
  20. Well? Did you vote today? This isn't a political discussion about who/what you voted for or against. Just a nice discussion about how cool it is to vote. I voted! I actually voted a while ago, hooray for absentee ballots!
  21. What nobody's gonna post pics? Fine I'll get it started: Girlfriends costume wasn't quite finished in those pics, she hadn't done her hair or make-up yet. ~EDIT - Girlfriend doesn't like how she looks in the pics so I have taken them down. I'll post an edited version of just my costume soonish
  22. Well what I am doing right now is leaving the plastic steering column covers off, and holding the end cap down when it refuses to start I'll try tapping it with a screwdriver, although I think replacing the switch is the best idea. Especially since it's only like $30 from rock auto.
  23. OK upon further inspection it does feel like I can push the cap in and then something pushes it back out slightly.
