  1. Easy way to figure this out: Set up a ramp, drive up it to start flexing the suspension. Once the tire contacts the fender, mark how much you think you should trim. Continue doing this until you can flex out with no contact, and then trim a little bit more for fudge factor.
  2. As for what needs working on my truck: I need to replace the boots on the CV's I traded UNCC for, I need to change my transmission fluid, and install a transmission cooler. I was hoping to hit up a pick n pull sometime soon to find an Explorer transmission cooler or two, and maybe a 90amp Maxima Alt. Anyone want to make a trip to the South San Jose pick'n'pull sometime soon?
  3. Finally uploaded my videos from the first weekend. Copy and paste from the pic and vid thread: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" wmode="transparent" style="width:400px; height:326px;" id="VideoPlayback" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashvars=""> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" wmode="transparent" style="width:400px; height:326px;" id="VideoPlayback" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashvars=""> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" wmode="transparent" style="width:400px; height:326px;" id="VideoPlayback" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashvars=""> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" wmode="transparent" style="width:400px; height:326px;" id="VideoPlayback" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashvars="">
  4. You mean Clear Creek, and it is closed for the foreseeable future due to asbestos concerns. Also I wouldn't expect everyone to show up to every trip or meeting, it would be nice to know though that if you had the itch to go out wheeling you would have a set day and time when you could go out with some other board members. @Steeevo Yeah for the most part wheeling up here is only allowed in state designated areas. Too many hippies up here.
  5. The last two weekends got me thinking that we don't meet up enough. Since there's a lot of us up here on the central coast I was thinking we should have a monthly wheeling trip. Say every second Saturday or something? We could hit up the different parks around here (Hollister, Frank Raines, and any other places people want to go). Or we could just have a general meet up (coffee and doughnuts, maybe communal wrenching time?) Anyways what do yall think?
  6. I'v been looking since I signed up to the boards, the only one's I have come across were way overpriced.
  7. Woah really? I'v been thinking about subscribing to 4Wheeler for a while, might be time to do so...
  8. Sorry I couldn't make it today you guys. I'll try to come down later in the day if at all possible.
  9. OK not sure what my plans are for Saturday now. I'll figure it out tomorrow, but I'll be down to meet in SJ
  10. It's not really Arnies doing, it's the State Senate not being able to agree on a budget. Arnie has actually done pretty well as the governor, I don't agree with everything he's done but for the most part he's done a good job.
  11. Happy Birthday Tex! Although I'm guessing we're a day late
  12. Call in sick! If they ask if you're really sick say you have ass explosions (that'll stop them from asking too many questions)
  13. Well I'm not working this Saturday so I'm probably going this weekend.
  14. Heeheehee A coin op car wash in Santa Cruz is now the proud owner of several pounds of Hollister mud I'm editing the videos and photos I took, hopefully I'll have them uploaded tomorrow
  15. I'm trying to go next weekend, but my parents are trying to wrangle me into working for them. I'm trying to get out of it, we'll see.
  16. It was great getting to meet you John! And thanks again for the CV Joints and the Auto Hub!
  17. OK Enjoi and I will be there at around 11AM tomorrow. See yall then!
  18. I'v got a recovery strap, and Mark has a winch so I think we'll be good on that end.
  19. Welcome! I sent you a PM answering your questions, but I'd figure I'd welcome you publicly here too! There's a pretty strong group of regular Central Cali folks here. Hope we can answer any and all questions you might have!
  20. I got the tires rotated today. Front tires are only a couple of months old, makes more sense to have them on the main drive wheels. I wanted to change the oil before going as I'm a little bit overdue, I'll try and get that done tomorrow
  21. Let me see if Andrew (Enjoi) or my buddy with the old cherokee wants to go this weekend.
  22. Oh well now you've really thrown a pickle in things SteevO Hmm I would much prefer to go on a sunny day (which currently it is supposed to be on the 31st), especially if we have to replace the CV joints.
