Main difference between Toy and Nissan IFS is the T-bar mounts to the UCA on the Toys, and LCA on Nissans. As for the max lift in the front, best rule of thumb is to not have less than 1 inch between the UCA and the upper bumpstop. The front is engineered in a way that even sitting with the UCA touching the bumpstop you shouldn't bind, but prolonged use at that position can cause the CV to wear fast since it is continuously at it's max operational angle. In addition to saving some CV wear, keeping that inch gap helps keep you from having such a jar when you hit a minor dip or pothole since you still have a little down travel left.

Yeah, only problem I ever saw with any body lift was a Jeep Comanchee that rolled at 65mph and the body detached. I don't know the entire specs on the body lift that was used or if it was installed properly(only saw pics on the web), it could have been a cobbled together setup with grade 3 bolts .

Just had a vivd visual of that event. I actually snaked the end of one of my ratchet straps down through the top of the spring perch and hooked it on a coil then ratcheted it in just enough to slip over the center of the bottom seat.

You also have different controls, 93 and older had the controls on the turn signal lever.

Though I like AC, after reading about their arms, I wouldn't buy theirs. Get Rough Country arms, about $60 more. Search the forum for info. BTW, share a pic of your front shock setup.

After wheeling with a lot of other Nissans and seeing what breaks and what doesn't, I think 31s with a BL and slight SL(1" or so) will get you further than most any other setup. Even with beefed up steering I have seen twisted or broken tie rods with 33s, broken ball joints are more common also. I have also seen guys having to use a lot of skinny pedal to roll the 33s over things I can practically idle over with my 31s, even when they are locked (mine are both open rear). No question larger tires do make the truck look REALLY nice, but they also put a lot of extra strain and stress on components.

I've never noticed mine do that either, and I do signal lane changes most of the time.

Yep, the rear spring size is what it lifts. The reason the front components are the same is because your amount of lift depends on how much you crank the tortion bars.

What is odd though is that the hubs should still have the same basic shaft diameter and bolt pattern size. 87-89 27 splines 90-95 28 splines

Nah, I think the "orange thingy" is the best, it wasn't stock on all models.

They are rebuild/servicable, but it can be a PITA, though a lot cheaper than a new one.

Sometimes, even picking the perfect line, you gotta "lift a leg".

I have seen locked 2wds get places open 4wds couldn't go.

I can get 18"x36" gel sheets at a store 1/4 mile up the street for under $5 a piece. (I just checked their website and they don't have them listed on there, if they did I would have posted a link.) I wonder if you could print on a gel with an ink jet set to glossy paper setting? The question would be if the ink would be able to set on the gel surface...might have to run some tests. Got those photo shoped picture files of the guage faces?

Something else that works well for changing colors is "light gels" they are what is used to color stage lights, and are a thin plastic sheet. I've used pieces in my dome lights to change their color and also put a piece under my HVAC controls to change their color.

I would leave it as is and just weld on some 1"x1" L angle along the back to hide/fill the gap.

You would need to fab some mounts, but you could make it fit. Though it would be too narrow for the Pathfinder. If the make one for the Cherokee you might be better off with that. Any winch bumper under $300 is a good deal really.

3" body lift, Jeep Grand Cherokee coils in the rear and a torsion bar crank in the front is the cheapest to get you on 33s. Search the site though, you are like the 500th person to ask this question.

Completely different mounts IIRC, but if you are handy you can probably make em work.

You can buy different color bulbs and also colored bulb covers, there are also LED bulbs available.

Nice, what did you print on, normal ink jet paper?

I knew a guy who had hot and cold running water for trail showers. He had a tank with a smal 12v pump on it, then took soft copper tube and coiled it around his exhaust pipe for the hot feed.
