  1. :o Holly, wow, WTF!? Did it actually run before you opened it up and found that little suprise 88?
  2. Maybe try some of L&Ps adjustable cam gears first.
  3. They added the light and switch on later models 88. When they put the switch in there they changed one of the 2 round bumpers to an oblong one that would hit the switch. BTW, I think I might have an extra of the oblong type bumpers in a parts box somewhere if anyone would need one, just let me know and I'll start diggin .
  4. Nope, not personally, but have seen the good and bad of their products on other peoples rigs, and there weren't many goods. One thing that looks scarey in their D21 SAS parts list are the shackles.
  5. IIRC there were some differences in the crank length (shorter stick out at the front) on those as well.
  6. True, for once the price on the parts isn't outragously over norm for the type of parts they are. However they are Calmini manufactured, so I don't know if I'd trust their reliability.
  7. Easiest to burn out the old rubber
  8. I have a Cobra that has all the functions on the handset, and just a tiny box that mates all the wires. I tucked the box under my seat and put the handset clip on my center console. The box is like 4"Lx1"Wx1"H so it hides easy .
  9. Mine are all metal clamp type things.
  10. Only speedo gear I ever worked on was on an NP T-case. To get it out you had to remove the retainer nut, then turn the whole thing a little bit to pull it out.
  11. Tucked up between the crossmembers and frame, not much can get them but a direct hit from something small and pointed. They are far enough behind the front wheels that the wheels don't kick up any debris into them either.
  12. I wasn't saying it's cool to run offroad, just that normal road driving won't cause too many issues as it is now. Timebomb refferance was meaning that the steering won't just fall to pieces all of a sudden.
  13. A worn ceterlink isn't a good thing, but it won't send you swerving into traffic. Really, the longer you run with it that way, the more wear you are imparting on other parts, but it isn't like a time bomb or anything. I bought a car once that the CL was totally shot, Tie Rods were shot also, but it drove just fine aside from a little play in the wheel.
  14. My setup, they are welded to the frame for grounding. Like the CB install, good use of the double din. :cool2:
  15. Never had an issue with mine. Wild guess the rubber piece is causing drag and burnt up the motor?
  16. 35s don't fit on 4 doors too good, not enough body to remove by the back door
  17. only real differance between a 90 and a 93 are the bumpers, everything else body and mechanical is the same, and 95% of the interior is the same. Only major interior differance is the rear speaker location.
  18. I have a set of Mile Markers I can sell you, used for 1 week, never in 4wd. $60
  19. I'd much rather have roll downs, in my opinion electric are just something else that can break. Not to mention the fact I can open and close the windows without power or a key in it. I'm a basics kinda guy though, K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid ).
