  1. 2 good ratchet straps do pretty good
  2. Yeah and it was cheaper than the factory option
  3. XE, I can still roll down the windows with a dead battery
  4. Mine is 50/50 on noise, sometimes it's like it doesn't want to synch/mesh right while moving (always under 25mph). It will sometimes even do it while at a stop too, but it does it more going into 4lo. Goes in every time, but throws a fit about it.
  5. Look similar to my 93s shoes, but mine are 5 spoke and polished rather than chromed. I don't like chrome, but it looks good on your truck since you have the chrome bumpers.
  6. That is the main thing that L&Ps fixes, their design eliminates the flex that a stock CL has on the Pitman and Idler and makes it a rigid connection. So, rather than having the CL and TRE pivoting sending the TRE into the frame, the CL stays still and allows the TRE to flex without hitting the frame.
  7. Redundant tools are needed. I have multiples of most basics and usually in places they will be needed.
  8. My 93 was broke into once in my driveway, lost the stereo, speakers and about 3k in tools. Good thing about it, the stereo and speakers they stole were crap, so I got better ones as replacements. Also,I got to upgrade a few of the tools that were stolen with the Insurance money (it was in my driveway, homeowners covered it ).
  9. You've got the dual din setup in those (94&95) right?
  10. Looks like you had some burn through that had to be overwelded, I did too, kept blowing holes in the thinner parts. I used fiberglass over all of my patches to smooth it all out a little. I used that foam type heat sheild in my ceiling, didn't want to put it on the floor since it will probably hold water like a sponge(same reason I eliminated the carpet (aside from the weight reduction)).
  11. :o Mine stayed more local to the seam then that, but went all the way accross. I noticed some of mine were well hidden under the sound deadening material. Looked small at first, then pealed away the asphalt and there was nothing under it.
  12. Heres a pic of mine after my fix(this is my 88): Obviously mine had been overlooked by the previous owner. I didn't even notice it untill I went to remove the carpet (to bedline the floors, no carpet). Check the passenger side in the same spot, mine was rusted there as well. There are 3 main joints that rust out, the fronts, the ones in the middle of the rear seat floorboard, and where the cargo area meets the rear seat back. All of those had rusted completely out in mine. Not to mention the typical under the back seat rust that everyone seems to get.
  13. Might be for power locks, I don't think they offered the remotes till the 4 door models though.
  14. If you need a place to put things in Ohio let me know, I can't offer sheltered areas, but have 100+ acres in Carrol County, plenty of "parking", no one around to care.
  15. No, you keep the same radiator support, it's the light mount brackets that you need. The grills both attach the same way, to the same points.
  16. I have a set out of the junkyard I can sell ya, $5/each.
  17. Plastic grill retainers, look at Lowes, they carry them. As for the HB hood, grill/light swap, it's been done. The hood is a simple bolt in place. To do the grill, you need to do the lights as well. To do the lights you need the entire assembley that mounts on the radiator support.
  18. My solution, remove them completely and put a board in to cover the area the same level as the cargo area. put hinges on it and you really do get a niffty storage area where the seat bottoms used to be
  19. I have a light bar waiting for me, if I can ever meet up with te guy who has it now.
  20. :o The entire thing is on big one. And the Highway Saftey Institute in the US throws a fit if there is any movement in the cab area, there was no cab left on that thing. Conspirasy theory.... The communists in China figure they'll sell the capitolists cheap cars (not telling how deadly they are) and knowing how cheap us capitolist are we will buy them and kill our selves off. Then the invasion will begin
  21. Me too :sniff: But the Panthers I have on my 93 now are unique. The Rims don't have the usuall lip on the bead edge...Don't know how I'm going to hook the alignment machine up to them after I fix my CL though
