My 95 is like that. You can pull the key out while driving. The PO was a realtor and used it for staging houses, so I imagine a lot of short trips getting in and out, etc.

I had a Chevy s10 the same way. Its nice when running into the store or starting in cold mornings. Id start it and take my keys and lock the doors.

and how heavy were the key rings, I've gone through two ign switches on my 88 and I have a heavy key ring, my wife's 95 still has the original ign, just the car key and house key, go figure

I discovered this when my key fell out after starting it one night. I like it. It's like a party trick. I pull they key out when it's running and they just look at me confused.
