I just put a blanket over the amps. I have no problems loading the truck to the ceiling in anticipation for Baja. I keep the light stuff on the amps, like clothing and sleeping bags. It really isn't a problem, but I do agree that I would rather have them hidden away. No, I don't load my R50 with bags of rocks and soil back there, you crazy?? I deal strictly with big bags of that "doja" and THATS IT.

I have 2 amps on the back of the seat, and I can still fold them and fully use my cargo area!

Pulled a P0450 - EVAP pressure sensor fault - reset the light and no error for the past 200 miles... Where do I even begin?

If you use the scanner in their parking lot, you don't even need to leave a deposit. I just let them hold my drivers license and a credit card, they don't charge anything, they return them when you give the machine back.

I live in CA and i've never had a problem renting an OBD2 scanner from autozone for free. As a matter of fact, I rented one 2 days ago and pulled a P0403 evap system failure.... reset the light and no SES anymore.....

i can go to AZ if you want to fit a bumper and then sell it to me for cheap!

'm renting a Nissan Murano which (i think) has a VQ35. I know it definitely has a chain driven 3.5 liter. It is FAST and i love the sound! Goota have my VG dependability though!

Thanks for the correction. I dont know where i got 3.75 from. My aftermarket wheels are 4.5" BS, as well as the OEM wheels.

well the wheels are 16x8 with 3.75" backspacing, which means they are pretty close to stock, only difference is they stick out one inch farther on the outside of the rim. TThe tires equate to 31.6" in standard size. (stock are 16x7 with 3.75 backspacing) The tires fit great, it's about the largest I would go on stock suspension, I had to remove the front mud flaps and do some trimming and now they never rub. When I first bought them, I could not even drive straight without it rubbing. I had to have the mexicans at the tire shop help me jack my car up so I could trim, I couldn't even make the drive home without cutting plastic. These tires gave me good clearance - however, their large size really slowed my QX4 down. VERY SLOW. Horrible gas mileage. My last tires were 245/70/16 and they fit a lot better. They never rubbed, and the truck accelerated great, they tucked under nicely, unlike my newer 265/75/16. If I could go back, I would.

Upon a sober re-evaluation of the suspension, it turns out the strut top nut DIDN'T back itself out. It is, in fact, stripped!! The stupid nut is closed-ended, the maximum amount of threads possible to hold on to is 4!!! Such a BS nut. I am furious. My Polish mechanic/family friend bought 2 new front struts, and somehow the tops of them are different than the struts I bought 6 months ago. (both KYB). The old struts were perfect for the closed ended nut, the threaded portion is about an inch and a half long, which ended up working since all I could get on was about 4 threads and it was tight. The new struts have a longer threaded portion, about 2", my mechanic used TWO big ass open ended nuts, tightened like a mofo, on each strut to really make sure this doesn't happen again. I'll post some pics, looks really good. I don't know how the two KYB struts can be any different. The body and everything is the same, only difference was the threads at the top. I can't believe somebody expected 4 threads to hold on to that thing.

I can already tell you: 1 new strut 1 new upper plate with strut bearing, from Nissan bend some stuff back into place alignment and i'm also getting new KYB shocks in the rear while it's in the shop.

I didn't take pictures of the gnarly rock crawling because I am not a huge picture person - but I am not exaggerating when I say that I went far past where the lifted Rubicons were stopping. I had Jeep owners literally telling me that they were too scared to go where I went. I guess they had good reason to not want to go!
