I like the running boards! They act as nice OEM sliders, plus I can stand on them, plus my girlfriend can sit on passenger siderail and pee comfortably when camping.... Slider marks: PS I don't think a small metal rail directly under the door would have prevented this rock from contacting the body... Basically I was sideways on a muddy river bank and the truck slid sideways onto a big boulder, where I had to gun it in 4x4 and scrape the siderail on the rock, with mud flinging up from all 4's. I love that feeling. Anyways, I think that the rocky road sliders would not have protected the body in my situation.

OK Please take into consideration my thoughts on this: Basically I upsized to a 265/75/16 tires, equates to 31.6" and they rub a lot!! It would be nice to lift but my problem is, I don't want the suspension lift due to increased wear on CV joints. I do not want to break any of those. I can not use Warn hubs on my QX4 for mechanical reasons. How much wear is increased on the CV's with a 2" AC lift? I am leaning towards Prado subframe lift but it is not available yet... Pics for reference: "Minor trimming" It is possible to make these tires not rub, it would involve a little bit of heat gun up front and more trimming in rear. Thoughts, ideas, advice? Thanks in advance guys. Please do not make fun of my car.

Hmmm. Thats the same wheel size I have, but my rims are 1" wider than OEM 16x7... mine are 16x8 with the same backspacing so they stick out exactly 1 inch more....

I am contemplating lift as well. I don't know if i want to go prado or springs... i want to keep the cv's intact, and my current BS on 16x8 rims is 3.75" Would just a 4" prado lift look too high for 31.6" tires?

Hey XplorX, I just mounted some 31.6" tires on my 3.3 R50 and WOW is it slow!!! My R50 went from turtle pace to a sloth on the verge of death. Do you know what gears I have in my 99 QX4 and what all is involved with regearing?? All advice is greatly appreciated

Exactly. That part NEVER moves with respect to the tire - it's the spring above that part which does all the moving. Mine is about a centimeter away from the part of the shock you are talking about.

You can't even get the cheapest Honda Civic rotors from Kragen for $20, where the heck are you getting your numbers from?? I paid $60 a rotor for some Mountain Japanese rotors and they are only mediocre.... Price range I saw was from 40 each to 100 each.... PS warped brake rotors would intensify the pulse upon any braking.... sounds like wheels or tires to me....

I'm going to guess coilpack as well. Bad coils are a common problem on 3.5L VQ nissan engines.

WIth the right type of internet marketing (these message boards) you should easily be able to pump 10 or 20 pairs out over a few months time...

Well, basically I want the Prado lift, but I also want to retain my stock Infiniti springs because they are just so smooth. WIll the 1" spacer act like a spring with 1" added onto it (bend the CV slightly)?? What do you guys think of Prado lift on stock springs and possibly spacer...

I would like the same please.... is this like adding 1" to your springs?
