i do agree about the iggy switches. mine is showing signs of old age (i have a 92) and giving me grief on occasion but so far i know it's little tricks so she starts every time :bow: glad ya got 'er fixed

the only thing i can think of would be the fact that those are high pressure lines so without pressure control may cause damage to the pump over time. i tried to find info about it in the FSM but nadda there. but that would be my guess as to what could happen. without pressure control over time = damage. IMOO

PB blaster is your friend. WD40 will do NOTHING to loosen those pins

that would entail 2 black eyes and a broken nose for them..... the place was virtually empty.. you could hear thunder in the distance and it was raining.. but i was DETERMINED to get the pathy runnin THAT day so i was onna mission. and broke. used my last $4 to get me n dave in there. spent enuff on the motor as it was. i DESERVED that PSPS..lol it was the only thing stopping my pathy from running ... it had to be done....... desperate times call for desperate measures

sssh the head gasket is the lowest major gasket you can change. below that is just yer water pump, rear main seal etc.... head gaskets are easy if you've done it...expensive if you pay someone else to do it. you have to take a lot of crap off to get to the heads, so it's time consuming. if they charge by the hour expect to works some o/t to pay for it. good luck and i really hope it's nothing that serious! have them check all your vaccum lines first

aww... c'mon.. you can put them on yourself. wasy nuff, specially if you get teh thorleys (i have the chrome nickle plated ones) i got them for $338 from summit.... easy nuff to put on.. just take some time n patience but not a major humdinger to do. save yerself serious $$$ doing it yourself.

yes the thorleys have been fitted to autos with no problems.. and i would go with the headers first.. solves the breaking manifold stud issue and adds some pony power to your pathy as well as a nice sound. if you haven't already.. i suggest the FIRST thing you get is a after market tranny cooler for your autotragic.... oh.. and welcome!

any sensors will be visible if unplugged. check around the driver side (LH) of your motor for any sensors that may have come unplugged.. check closely as there are hidden sensors all over. check your entire engine for anything amiss. also.. if you didn't have the battery disconnected when you did whatever (i forget) you did.. disconnect your batter for 10 minutes to let the ecu reset itself.... AFTER you have checked to make sure everything is in order... that outta keep you outta trouble for a few minutes.. then we'll go from there eh

fuel filter is here: (circled in yellow on LHS)

fuel filter is relatively easy.i use clamps to stop the flow of gas..remove gas lines... put them on new filter and away you go. MAF sensor is here: (circled in white) it connects to the side of your air filter box snd is held on by 2 screws.. remove and GENTLY clean the (they look like light bulb wires) wires with alcohol. if you break them.. it's expensive.

hops as in bucks like it's starving for fuel? does it actually DIE? or when the rpms go down it is ok again? have you changed your fuel filter lately? no.. a fuel pump going out won't show any visible signs... unless you have a fuel line gone.. but i am sure you'd notice the gas mileage drop and or smell the leaky gas
