  1. sounds just like when my head gasket went out..... very little smoke, power loss, gas stink....... thought it was my injectors and it was actually a slightly broken piston and a HG gone.
  2. sssh afraid i'm gunna have to also go with the concensus of t-belt..... just pray there was little damage done, but with cranking it post-dying it may have valve damage now... check the rotor like simon and the others said

    Won't Start

i would suspect the fuel pump first, then possibly fuel filter. start there and see how it goes.
  4. time to get the BFH out! at least no one was hurt adn that is all the damage you sustained. could have been worse. :sniff:
  5. amen to that. me too. all new stuff n no problems.
  6. the driver side header *edited due to retardation and brain fart* takes the EGR valve, but NOT the o2 sensor. so WTF are they DOOOOOING down there? a few FEET? i would be aiming for kneecaps about now, and i would also be refusing to pay and tow my truck to another shop before they completely fubar your entire exhaust system. it is a straightforward install, even on an auto there is little to no issue...... so these guys are CLUELESS.
  7. yup. what pavelow said. x and h pipe are more for your chevy v-8 apps... just go with thorleys, 2.5" pipe throughout, high flow cat and a good quality muffler. and use the search function, there has been a LOT of discussion about headers, pipe, and there is even some sound bytes of exhausts (including mine) int he pics/vids thread
  8. -bounce- woooooHooooooo! yer back. ok, whip them there covers off n take a looksie. then we'll go from there. do you still have my #? call me if you have any questions!
  9. -alcohol- happy new year y'all!!!!!!! -alcohol-
  10. don't overload the trailer (which is pretty hard to do unless you load it with marble slabs) and you'll be fine. i work for u haul and drag our RV's (6x12) trailers around with my pathy all the time the trailers have brakes, so they're real nice to tow. double axle so they "trail" nice too. do you have a tranny cooler? keep the rpm's up a bit when towing too, major no no is to lug yer truck while towing. don't use o/d. the trailer itself only weighs 1500lbs **also!** you will need "4-flat wiring" to tow our trailers. make sure you have this, or at leasy an adapter. there's nothing more annoying for me than someone who comes in and has NO wiring... uhh...dude. how u tink da lights gunna work on da trailer?
  11. :sniff: dayum.. good luck!
  12. lmao tex!! well, the closest my pathy got to pressies was a new (super sized) tool box and i got $75 so i will be spending that on TRE's for both pathys. -bounce-
  13. :sniff: i don't think my pathy's got anything..... mini got another tank of gas and a good wash and clean today.... and king got sympathy at being on the sick n injured list :sniff:
  14. i love newfies. my friend has a black n white newfie.. they are coooooooool ass dogs. here's a recent pic of lilly. she getting soooooooo buff now.. dayum.... (of course, here she is in slumber..... when she's not attackign something) she was 56 lbs when she found me. 6 months later she is a bouncing 70lbs of muscle.
  15. +6 on the TO bearing. :sniff:
  16. a small thought: timing belt~ change~better to be safe than sorry
  17. if yer pathy isn't running correctly, yes, gas mileage is affected. yeah, my pathys also hit 1/4 way after about 10-15 min road and 5-10 min freeway. when it's hot out they reach fulloperating temp of 170. i am beginning to wonder if they put a 180 t stat in king tho cuz he always runs about 180 but NEVER any higher.. no matter what i'm doing

    crank nut

yup. i always give it a quick shot with the air ratchet just to break er loose, then wrench it by hand.
  19. they're about the only thing that IS legal here in cali......
  20. sssh where did you find a hitch strong enuff to tow that much weight? also, you run the risk of frying yer tranny (clutch OR a/t), overloading/working your suspension and axles. have you tried to tow the boat up a hill? or stop fast? have you tried to launch the boat? can you get it out of the water without using 4wd and the t case? i see this all too often working for u haul..... trying to overload something that just wasn't built to take the load. it's your decision, and your pathy, but as an installer and pathy owner, i don't recommend it.
  21. yup. scott's right. the 2wd pan is smaller.

    Pacesetters

thomas has a set of pacesetters (casey T). he had to extend the egr tube to fit. (i have thorleys, i just had to "bend" my egr) flip thomas a pm about his headers headers in general jd, are to replace nissans crap design of the ever cracking/leaking/stud breaking manifolds. headers fix that issue (better design) and they allow for a nicer sound, easier access and more farting and breathing, which is what makes our motors happy.
