  1. Yep, I saw that, but missed it was a manual... I doubt it is the case, but check the wiring for the clutch cut out switch. Wierd about cyl #5... could the wire be broken ? Try switching that wire with another and see if the problem stays with #5 or moves with the wire... Fuel pressure regulator clogged or malfunctioning ? I HATE intermittent issues !! B
  2. I would have guessed fuel filter but faulty fuel pressure from the pump could also do it. When it stalls, does the engine just cut out, or does it kind of splutter a bit and die ? I'm guessing you have an automagic so no info if you can keep it running if you push the clutch in ? B
  3. Good info Red, the progressive action is usually benificial. I like the Procomp ES3000 up front, but they are a bit stiff in the rear when unladen... You might want to go with an adjustable shock in the rear. 4 wheel parts sometimes has a set of the procomps for about $120 incl a steering stabilizer. B
  4. Nice echo Red, as usual, you are only a couple of days behind... B
  5. Ok, play nice or don't play at all... Agreed, traction control may be nice when going through the mountains in the winter or hitting ice, etc, it definitely hinders aggressiveness. B
  6. Dual exhaust ?? Save your cash... B
  7. LOL, nice improvised 90 degree milling set up !! I have to ask though, why didn't you just use a woodruff cutter ? You get an A for the set up though. B
  8. Agreed. I was under my truck today and saw the beginings of rust front and rear(due to an accident/frame straightening which cracked open the paint/sealer). Nothing to worry about yet, but it is on my mental list of something to do soon. Truck runs like a champ, I'd hate for it to rot away from underneath !! B
  9. Ok, it is a 92 wd21... I'm not sure what that means (refer to the Garage/how to section on reading the EUC, it may enlighten you) but I would advise checking/cleaning all sensor connections that are accessable. It shouldn't take too long and is a culprit with many sensors, including the MAFS (which it never hurts to clean. Refer to the same section for instructions). Knock sensor ? A few people have had to replace theirs, but it is a pain as it is located under the intake manifold. A few people have simply cut the old one out of the loop and installed a new unit up on the bell housing. Maritime Man and lgranch I believe. I can try to dig up the info if you wish. At least it is just an occasional issue. Hope this helps. B
  10. Hmm, would that be under product reviews or how to ?? Doesn't quite fit in either, or both... B
  11. Nice !! I want a set !! B
  12. MZ said it best. Better for what ? No vehicle is good at all things, one must consider the usage... For traditional Pathfinder roles, I prefer the WD21 4 door... Should the new pathfinder be called the mallfinder ? B
  13. Sorry... I know most people like the Kuhmo's but I have not experience/knowledge with that style. Will 12.5 fit your backspacing ? Do you have beefed up front end components ? These answers will indicate how much you like the tires also... B
  14. Damn good idea mws, how much to do mine... B
  15. This is one of the things I love about this site... B
  16. Yeah, the same happened to Red last summer, but it cost him his engine. I think he is still installing the replacement... B
  17. Something like this ?? http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=10399 Look at the last post... B
  18. Damn, where DID I put that dynamite ?? Never can find it when I need it... B
  19. LOL, at least it was an easy fix. I prefer to have things fail outright, none of this intermittent issues crap !! Just think, if it was a manual, you could have just compression started it... B
  20. Good point... I have a light key ring so I have never had to deal with the ignition switch. B
  21. What a d!ckhead !!! Should have just plowed him... Thats just plain futile and stupid. I can't list all the times (when I was a kid) that the cops would show up and we'd all scatter on our dirt bikes. Got chased countless times and always got away, even when I played with them... Only thing that can catch a dirtbike is another one of the same caliber with a better rider on it, or a helicopter... B
  22. LOL That means replace the line section... Where are you located, and who should I call to make them eat a$$ ?? B
  23. LOL, skip the cams and ECU unless you have $ to spend. Otherwise, yes, headers and good exhaust will be the biggest boosts. MSD(?) ignition, cold and open intake (read snorkel) and electric fan would be the next in gain. Not much more than that other than the afore mentioned cams and ECU... Just take heart knowing that the truck that passes you either can't go where you can, or won't do it as long... B
  24. Try posting first, we were all new at one time... That said, the search function does wonders... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=18 B
