  1. Yes, a few people have done it, Beastpath and Packie88 IIRC??. Basically, it is not hard per se, just a lot of work. You want to have a donor handy as there are a bunch of little items from shifter boots to some vent ducting to clear the MC, etc. All the holes you need are there from the factory so it is mainly disassemble and reassemble. B
  2. I'm going to start buying rust free pathys and drive them up north/east!! B
  3. $1100?? Holy crap!! I didn't pay that much for my exhaust system and I have Thorley headers, Magnaflow high flow cat and Flowmaster exhaust!! Too bad you aren't closer, I have most of the old exhaust system and it is in great shape... B
  4. Yes, Steeevo did exactly that and has a long thread about it. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=5529&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1 Also, there is no factory body lift for Pathfinders, but Hardbodies did have one, 2" IIRC B
  5. 94 and 95 have an electronic speedo/tach cluster and some have problems. First, remove the entire cluster (not too hard) and unplug the connectors. Tighten the brass screws in the back (ground points), check the connection points, reinstall and rest. When I was combining 2 clusters to get 1 fully working unit, a tach that hadn't worked for 3 years came back to live in my parts truck... B
  6. Dex 3/merc is what I used and believe to be appropriate. B
  7. Damn, the manual hath spoken!! Uhh, what ^he said... B
  8. Yep that is what I understand also. Keep it changed regularly and should be fine... B
  9. Behind the gauge cluster in the dash is the end that should spin. I'd start there... B
  10. I don't know, I haven't looked yet... I had thought of that myself but I'm not sure if a wide spot in a river is better than two narrow ones in a row... B
  11. They are quite strong and I have rarely heard of people having issues with them be they open, LSD or locked although mechanical or air lockers are preferred over welded. It should be fine from what I understand. B
  12. The trannys do not have a thermal bypass but that could easily be done (starts thinking about it). Yes you cant even get the TC to lock up until it warms up sufficiently. I have one cooler installed which works fine for winter (120-180 degrees max) but I can tell it will be insufficient come summer. I plan to mount a second cooler in series with a bypass (electronic if possible) so I can select more cooling when needed. A thermal bypass at 120 degrees would allow me to run both coolers without need for selection. B
  13. I'm not sure what that was supposed to mean PATHRIDER, seems like they are two very different things... B
  14. Your speedo is cable driven so either it is stripped in the back of the gauge, the plastic gears are stripped, the cable is broken or disconnected or there is an issue with the sender unit on the other end. B
  15. Damn!! Like was said, I'm glad it failed how and when it did... B
  16. Ahh, ok, so it isn't a direct bolt on. Thanks. The opposite light guard doesn't bothe me and is probably more functionable like that. B
  17. Why do you say in parallel rather in series?? B
  18. Yep, I agree with everything said. I go a step farther though. For about 200-$250 you can add an aftermarket cooler, bypass the radiator, install a filter and temp gauge. If this is not enough to keep the tranny content, not much else is either... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=24503&view=&hl="tranny filter"&fromsearch=1 B
  19. I think you need to test it against a grounded surface?? I always have, but if there still isn't any spark then check the dizzy cap, rotor and make sure the rotor spins. B
  20. Eeewww!! Yes, again, I completely agree. Speaking of Stella Liebeck, I give you this... http://www.stellaawards.com/ [/endthreadjack] B
  21. I guess you will remain naked and sweatly, sitting in a bean bag chair, covered with cheeto dust where it is safe... I do agree completely with you though. A guy at work already said something about to me. I simply said "Not my model, but if it did develope a problem, I'd simply fix it..." B
  22. True. I ran a beam across 4 or 5 rafters, spreading the weight over 1/2 the stucture so it was a non issue. I would never tie off on one rafter and didn't consider that anyone would... B
  23. Is that a stock grill guard?? It's exactly what I am looking for... B
  24. That's a knee-jerk reaction to Toyota's predicament/PR move. Wow, a pivot pin can become worn... Whatever. B
  25. Yes, it must be on the compression stroke, TDC cylinder #1 (the forward most on the passenger side IIRC) and the dizzy rotor should be pointing at the front passenger corner IIRC). Best way to tell compression stroke (springy one is probably right) is to put your finger over the plug hole and crank the motor. On compression stroke, it will push air past your finger... I have to ask, only because I have done it, do you have your timing light clipped to the right plug wire?? #1 again... B
