Some but it depends on what year HB and if it is 2x4 or 4x4. I usually use some place like Rock Auto to look up part numbers if they match, then I should be good. It isn't perfect, but there are a lot of factors to remember with cross compatability... B

WOW!! I have a set of BFG AT in 31x10.5" on the stock chromies (which are 6" wide), slightly pinched IMO, but I personally ran them over 25k miles without any trouble. You are welcome and yeah, that's why I got them there. I ran into the same price difference from the local tire stores and did the shopping to find where to get them. B

Wave front, a nose tarp and keeping moving all help. Not diving in or even hitting big puddles fast makes a big difference. Removing /rerouting some of the air box feeds is good too, but at the end of the day, there is no replacement for a snorkel, sealed air box and relocated ECU. As for the alternator, you may kill it, but you can at least still drive out without it... B

Ok, I watched it and there went 15 minutes of my life... I'm pretty sure the spec for the cam timing is 41 belt teeth between timing mark to timing mark as they are on the pulley teeth... Anti-seize on the spark plugs is generally a good idea, and the radiator hose bit is a good trick. I have a unit that is like a spark plug boot molded on/around a knurled aluminum rod so sorry, it's already been made and patented. Nice video though, and I appreciate the dry humor. It'll help a lot of people see what they are (or aren't) getting into. Thanks and keep up the good work. B

Let me point out that this was said by a service manager at a Nissan dealership who owns a pathfinder. He is saying what most of us go by, so I do not recommend being swayed otherwise. There have been some threads about what to use/where to find that a search may turn up but probably the #1 replacement is the Redline MTR 90 with positive feed back. When I flushed my tranny, I used 85-W90 GL-4 and some Lucas oil stabilizer which worked fine here in NorCal other than some hard shifting first mile or two on a cold morning. You should be golden in SoCal... Also, if it is the same tranny as the 95 Pathy, 5 liters is what is required per the TSB pinned in the Garage/TSB section. B

Not necessarily... A tire company can call anything a M&S tire, even racing slicks. The mountain/snowflake symbol represents that the tire passed the severe weather traction testing by an independent firm. You'll find that more M&S tires won't have this designation. mws had a good thread about it... B

One of the last posts has a link where you can download a full factory service manual in PDF form. The earliest model is 94 but as long as you have the MPFI 4 door, it should be the same.
