  1. WTH is up with you and mounting bolts?? If I don't get home too late, I'll take a look. Upper mounting bolts?? The ones for the bracket that goes through the radiator support?? IIRC they are M8x1.25, same as the exhaust studs. I seem to recall posting that somewhere... B
  2. Got a jack and a tape measure?? Seriously though, I thought I had seen that info recently, I just have no idea where... B
  3. You are welcome, just trying to help. I haven't offered up any advice because quite frankly, I haven't a clue about this one. Rather than drill a hole, can't you just unbolt it after the crossover pipe?? You don't even have to drop it all the way, just give it a decent sized gap to fart through... B
  4. As for the oil cooler, do you mean engine oil?? B
  5. For the rear axle? Yes, a simple spacer block would work but why have the bump stops at all, they just limit flex... B
  6. I'm willing to bet I have what you need on my parts pathy. I can pull it and ship it to you to test with. Let me know... B
  7. I'm weak with electrical, but assuming most of the wiring is still stock, go to the Garage section and towards the top is a pinned topic, Factory Service Manuals. Go to a link and download the earliest (1994) and there should be full wiring schematics. Also, 5523Pathfinder (Nissan/Infinity mechanic) has a write up about fixing remote entry, but I'm not sure that will answer things... B
  8. Sounds like it is running rich?? Clean MAF Check/replace O2 sensor air filter spark plugs (wires, dizzy cap/rotor) B
  9. Lets get something straight here, no one has been an asshole to you so that attitude is unjustified. ILMP took the time to give you links to threads (thanks for that ILMP). You could have found them yourself quite easily since these are pinned, popular topics. People here are quite willing to help, even more so once you have have tried to find it yourself. There is easily 5-8 years of information here and it can be hard to sort through so we try to work together but the 'standard information' is all clearly labeled and posted for exactly this reason. Try not to be an asshole and alienate the people you are asking for help. B
  10. Only in Canada do they have talking mailboxes... "Its aboot time you got home, eh? There's something in me, you hoser!!" B
  11. Decsribe or record the noise and specifically when it is heard. B
  12. True, but I think she is just saying to use it as an emergency for when she has a flat tire, not to drive around on for the life of the truck. The other trick is to put the mismatched tires up front of it is a 2wd so you don't have any differential issues, but that often causes steering issues so I wasn't even going to mention it... B
  13. According to one of the online tire size calculator I picked randomly, you are fine with that combo. There may be a little variation in diameter from one brand to another, but probably not enough to wory about. B
  14. Exhaust leaks shouldn't produce visible smoke. I'm guessing you have a minor oil leak and it is running down there and justdrifting out of the hole when it burns off of the head or the manifold. Try tightening your valve covers (just torque to a frim snug with a screw driver), they are the usual suspect. B
  15. Err, backdrop?? Contrast?? Thanks all. I didn't bring it to work today, but I have a mill/drill in the garage and everything I should need so hopefully I'll get the pocket done this weekend. It's all pretty straight forward, but I wanted to post the progress in increments to give people ideas. B
  16. Odds are that if you find, buy or steal a Nissan clinometer, it is for a right handed drive vehicle. For the flat dashed versions, this isn't really an issue, but if you have a rounded dash and the rounded dash version (or even somewhat with the flat dash version), you run into a problem. The base is not tilted properly for proper, level fitment. This is what we are talking about... This is the assembly in exploded view. Again, see the tilt in the base. A picture of the back of it and the sub bracket it mounts on. I won't be using the sub bracket or the bottom plastic cosmetic piece. Here is the new base fitted to the outside profile. It is a 1" thick piece of black delrin that I squared up with a band saw, then a Bridgeport mill, milled the angled sides (9.5 degrees seems to match very close so far) and radiused the back corners to 3/8". Next I will machine out a pocket for the clino to nestle into then flip it over and deck down the back at the proper compound angle to match the dash (TBD). More pictures and dimensions to come... B
  17. Thanks!! Yeah, several people have a gauge there, it's one of the few logical spots available. If you mount yours there, drill as low as possible on that face and still have the gauge fit. The first one was about 1/4" higher, but it was enough to interfere in the dash so the entire piece wouldn't mount correctly. Thankfully I have a parts truck so I just started over. Yes, I drilled and tapped for the ground. Someone else brazed on a connection (soldering might work also if you do a good job), GrimGreg IIRC. I haven't used JB weld much and don't know how conductive it is... As you can see, there are several different sources and methods for installing a gauge and all of them are pretty straight forward. Just work out what is best/easiest/cheapest for you... B
  18. I agree with silverton, I prefer the electrical units so that's what I used... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=24503&st=0&p=447214&hl="tranny%20filter"&fromsearch=1entry447214 B
  19. No worries, I didn't realize there was a bad... I still need to map out my plans though. I have an aftermarket exhaust, but a stock intake... Hopefully I'll get these other things done first. B
  20. Just found them, was working on the wife's car yesterday. Sorry... M12x1.25 is the thread pitch B
  21. Agreed, but there are several recent threads in which people went into descriptions of their set ups. Go find it... B
  22. Yeah, but you trimmed your fenders... B
  23. I have never had to trouble shoot the MPFI in a pathy so I don't know too much about it, but you have identified a dropping pressure. This tells me the problem lies with the fuel pump/sender unit or the pressure regulator? Ok, I have just exhausted my knowledge... Now, if you want technical information (and probably the answer of how to proceed) go here http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=26616 and follow the links to download your very own Factory Service Manual for free. Sorry Sir, I do not agree with you... B
  24. It depends on the lift(s) you have and the width/backspacing of your rims. Stock you can run 31"x10.5 tires with 6-8" rims and 3.5-4" BS. B
