Yes, much cheaper!! I got a 1995 with under 100k on the clock for just over $3k. This might seem odd advice from a truck site, but don't move to Florida for the wife to have similar climate. Figure out where you want to live (assuming you aren't chasing jobs or want to live in the snow) and go straight there. The culture shock will overshadow the climate and it will keep from setting roots somewhere that is temporary. My story isn't quite the same but I have an asian wife and relocating to snow country isn't really an option, even if I was willing. B

I'm not sure I pay a lot for it (I know it has been wheeled hard), but what did happen with it? I know you really liked it. We all make $/situation choices so don't think that isn't understood. B

Yes, it is possible with a lot of work and a donor vehicle (preferable side by side), just ask Steevo... B

^Or use the heavy duty washer at the laundromat!! Tripped in the driveway and shoulder checked my drivers side rear view mirror. (I sound like Nunya. ) Did you know they folded forwards as well as backwards? No real damage!! (to the truck at least) B

Ok, you got rid of the mud but soaked everything in the process. Let everything dry out, then check/WD40 all ignition components. Obviously check your air filter as fleurys said. B

Yep, here in Cali you can have a 'cert of non-op' which means registration fees are way cheaper and it is insurance exempt as long as you aren't driving it. A good option for any vehicle not used for 6+ months... B -
Ok, pretty much stock with average miles on it (not much) and you are calculating the mileage correctly (assuming your speedo was spot on with the 235s) so no culprits there. My guess is that the lower gearing ratio, the amount of stop and go driving and MT tires that you are running are contributing to the low gas mileage. Obviously, if there is an engine system issue it will lower it even further. Fyi, I have a 1995 with 31" MT tires that doesn't have too much added weight and when I just commute to and from work (5 miles/50 mph max) by gas mileage can be really low (12 mph). It runs perfectly and passes California smog tests so I cant imagine it has much wrong with it. B

What type of wheels do you have? How many miles on the truck? How much do you usually carry in it? Is this city or highway driving or a mix of both? If so, what ratio?? Do you have a roof basket or lights? What is the vehicles gearing? (Passenger fender info plate, 1/2 way down HG43 or HG46.) How are you calculating your mileage?? B

Absolutely correct and well said, but something tells me if he is still willing to drive it, he isn't going to listen to the apt "Stop It!! You could kill yourself or someone else" warning. B

FactoryNissanParts.com has them for $32, I just looked it up for a friend yesterday. The new Nissan bushing was $12 each and it isn't hard to replace at all (doesn't live in rust country). B
-
I've heard of it a few times, once by RedPath88, but didn't think it to be often, much less 'kind of common'. I bow to superior experience... B

Buy it, swap in the manual tranny and exterior tire carrier and you are golden!! The manual tranny swap isn't hard, per se, but involves a lot of work and a proper place to do it. With the donor next to it, I don't think you would have to buy anything other than fluids, etc. Maybe replace the rear mail seal while you are there. There is a thread or two here, 1 by beastpath in Az IIRC... As long as there isn't any death rust, it's worth the price. B

Here is a quote from when I posted about a Code P0158 for my wife's 99.0 R50 from a resident Nissan/Infinity mechanic. As for your other codes, there is a few TSB's....NTB99-004b Seems like it is worth a try, ground issues cause a few problems with these vehicles. I find the odds of both new O2 sensors being bad as slim. I strongly suggest you check out other possible causes rather than hrow $/parts at it. B

No worries, you are welcome. There is a great write up or two pinned in the Garage/How To section that has details like this and the correct belt tooth count between the pullies/marks that is a good idea to read. Sorry, I can't recall the exact info and I don't want to steer you wrong. LOL @ 'look for the ratchet I threw'. I understand, but don't get mad. It's too expensive replacing the tools and you are more likely to make a mistake. Good luck, she'll be running again in no time. B

I'd wait until you have the belt on with the tensioner backed all the way off, you should be able to rotate the sprocket back so the timing mark on it and the rear cover line up, then tension the belt a bit to let the teeth hold it in place. At this point, count the teeth between the timing marks from cam to cam and cam to crank to make sure everything is correct. I'm guessing it moved about 1/8 turn or so?? No harm done... B

Hey now, it is good to have a Haynes manual around as well as a Chiltons simply so you have something to throw other than the laptop in the garage, which can get expensive. Seriously though, I find that the C&H manuals are good for quick reference, torque specs, etc and sometimes the pictures/diagrams. B

Oil change, coolant change, brake fluid flush, fresh gas/injector cleaner and be amazed at the reliability of the WD21!! B

I'll play... * Fluids o Engine Oil - Castrol semi-synthetic 10-40 o Coolant - Prestone, 50/50 IIRC o ATF - Dextron/Mercon III because it was recommended as a viable substitute to Nissan's stuff, perhaps with more frequent changes. o MTF - N/A (automatic) o Brake Fluid - Prestone Synthetic DOT3 o Power Steering Fluid - Unknown o Front Diff - Lucas 80w90 o Rear Diff - Lucas 80w90 o Transfer Case - Dextron/Mercon III * Filters o Oil Filter - Bosch 3500. (estimated 200% filtering capacity compared to stock) o Air Filter - Fram (K&N oiled membrane clone) o In-Cabin Air Filter - Whut?? o Fuel Filter - Unknown o ATF Filter - Champion Labs (will look up the number) inline filter (ignores in pan filter and cooler) * Change intervals o Fluids + Engine Oil - 2,500-3,000 + Coolant - 2-4 years + ATF - Not yet. (Flush and refill soon, monitor from there) + MTF - N/A (automatic) + Brake Fluid - When I replace, adjust brake components (every few years) + Power Steering Fluid - Damn, good question!! + Front Diff - As per off road use (none as of yet) + Rear Diff - As per manual mileage/off road usage. Take care of your rear end. Without it, you go no where... + Transfer Case - As per off road usage. o Filters + Oil Filter - every oil change, of course! + Air Filter - don't know, haven't changed yet + In-Cabin Air Filter - every 1-2 years + Fuel Filter - every 1-2 years + ATF Filter - Every fluid change My Pathfinder currently has 106k miles on it. Sweet!! Getting an alarm?? People actually still do that?? When your plate can be run almost any time for many reasons?? It's worth the risk?? Damn, cops actually handling things in a considerate, human fashion?? It's good to see for a change. Reward this behavior, have a box of doughnuts sent to the station with a thank you card... B -
Yes. Check engine light is on, and you know the issue but you don't troubleshoot/replace the part?? Do you expect any other vehicle to do better than tell you what the problem is or not ever have any problems? Will it do better by being ignored?? Selling the vehicle is addressing the symptom, not the problem. B

FYI, I tracked down the fact that the Crager Soft 8 and Pacer (comperable model) wheels are identical. They are made at the same factory (as are most wheels) and have the identical manufacturer #, even from different resalers. It's in a thread here, so if you can find the clone Pacers for cheaper, go for it (none of the wheels show the name, the center cap does... ) B

Good thing that neither you nor anyone else was hurt!! I do feel really bad about your Pathy, but if that is what it takes so be it and I'd just buy another one. Look at it this way, the next one you buy and mod will be simple. You know what to look for, what to buy, how to do it, etc. The next Pathy will surpass the old one within a year... About the drugging, I don't know. It wasn't an issue when I worked at or frequented clubs, but I have to ask what happened to your friends or girl you know? Are they alright? Didn't they notice that you weren't ok or where you were going? Trust me, I've seen things get confused or missed a lot too. B

They look and sound like they would fit, but there is no statement of bolt pattern, width or offset so how well they fit and for what stance or purpose is unknown. Due to the missing information, the "Search" GIF doesn't really apply (but I know he likes it). It would be better served by a or a or something instead. Why? There is more information to come... I caught a Summit Racing sale and got 5 Crager Soft 8 15x8, 4" back spacing, 6 lug x5.5"(140mm) bolt pattern rims delivered to my door for $212. The add you showed isn't a great price for used rims that might not be exactly what you want or might be damaged. B
