  1. Propane torch. Also WD-40 doesn't do anything for what you need. You need PB blaster.
  2. Anyone with any experience with removing and installing the engine and transmission as a single unit? I'm going to try and tackle this right after work today by myself. I will only just have the engine lift with no load leveler. Or should I just install engine and do the transmission separate? I have a 3" body lift and solid axle swap up front. My issue is my passenger side engine mount will not be present as I will need to modify afterwards once the engine is in for placement.
  3. Tire pressure low? Colder weather? Check the pressure sensor plug on the steering pump. When the pressure drops it sends a signal to increase the idle. Do you see the idle increase when trying to turn at a standstill?
  4. Been busy trying to figure what is the most beneficial way for me to tackle my motor mount frame issue.
  5. Looks like I may be scrapping my pathfinder for one with a better frame and body and swap everything over.
  6. I didn't want to deal with them anymore. If they can't do it right the first time, I do not want to deal with them later. They refunded me so I don't really care. Just a waste of my time.
  7. Hauled the transmission out from under the pathfinder and towed it to a body shop to get an estimate for a frame pull. The shop who originally did the poor job of welding and lining up my motor mounts did worse than I had thought. Unfortunately, it's going to be more expensive since the motor is in the truck. I'm so mad and disappointed. It doesn't help that I'm still living in an apartment still and it won't be until mid next year until we move. It looks like I may have to haul the pathfinder back to my mother's which is 2.5 hours away.
  8. Can you tell me why it's not working? Can you verify that the switch is powering the relay to the motor? Did you test the motor prior to installing and checked the old one? Check fuses? Should be a simple fix.
  9. Clutch interlock switch? Sorry I'm not familiar with the manuals. If something say a sensor thinks the clutch is still in gear it won't trigger the relay for the starter. That's my guess until someone more knowledgeable pops in.
  10. Cleaned it some with the 2 inch cup wire brush. I might need a small brush for a dremel to reach the tight areas.
  11. Take the the vehicle to an auto parts store and they can test your charging system. Also make sure all the grounds are connected. The negative from your battery should be attached to the fender halfway and then off to the engine block.
  12. Thanks for the suggestion. It's a little too much for what I need. I'm going to educated myself some more regarding valving and load and see if I can find something close to my needs.
  13. I bought the kit for my 93 many moons so from AC, 4x4parts. There will be extras so don't worry.
  14. Thanks for the input guys. I'll take a looks after I get the truck running and moving under its own power and update Yall.
  15. I was drilling for a SYE and my damn drill bit broke inside the shaft. Attempted to drill the broken bit with a carbide tip drill only to break off the tip inside.
  16. It will not lock. That is what I was trying to say when I stated I did not have the key in the ignition.
  17. Thanks for the post. I'm wondering if I tweaked something or the pin is stuck. So many issues to address.
  18. Thanks for the reviews guys. I'll shell out some more for better shocks. I'm currently running bilstein 5125 12" shocks up front and had rancho 9116 shocks in the rear.
  19. I currently have the auto transmission out of the truck but was wondering how the steering wheel lock works. I was towing my pathfinder and I had a hell of a time trying to park it with the wheel turning the opposite direction of where I want the truck to go while in reverse. Is the because the shift lock switch in the shifter console? I do not have a key in the ignition either.
  20. Good update. I am in the same boat you are but you opted for the better motor and transmission and suspension lol. Also got married and will be moving into a new house next year.
