  2. actually...i just replaced mine last month...they were the EXACT same...every bracket, hole, notch IDENTICAL. I would swear they were the originals from factory. Tye
  3. 220 000km i removed the airbox and MAF to clean it...it looked spotless BUT when i looked in the intake... there was black oily dirty film on the fromt of the butterfly!!!! today so far running O.K again. Shops want an hour labout to get codes...$90.00... what a rip off!! Tye

O.K....ive read bout this here b4 but cannot find it pertaining to my 2001...the SES has been on for a while now...the other day went to drive and the rpms wouldnt go above 2400 approx. and it sounded like crap...removed neg. cable to clear ECU. That worked for a day...started this morn again but this time it revs up higher but sounds like a 305ci about to throw a rod or something!!! Is there ANY way to get the codes at home or do i need to take it to a shop???? Tye

  7. You say you are just waiting to gt 33"ers...is that just for looks or are you going to takie it off road at all???? Thats the ??? you need to ask yourself...if yes then the steps HAVE TO GO (or they will rip off) or if on road only..then i think you should leave the steps...they flow nice with the truck man!!!! I had a Commodore 64...tape drive...floppy drive...9 DPI dot matrix printer tht could print .35 pages a min!!!It had a two colour monitor a joystick and a 3500 baud modem for ...wait for it... BBSing. Ahhh when computer life was so simple. On a side note...with all the crap on this puter...i think the commie ran faster hahahahahaha Tye
  9. you know yall...i think its really important to keep threads like this alive for the newbies...like me. We get a pathy...get excited about all the cool stuff we read about we can do...then get screwed around like this...by people that SUPPOSEDLY have same values, outlook, interests etc of us!!! This IS a COMMUNITY of NEIGHBOURS both near and far away...at so it seems to me. Gets me burning up to here bout people getting screwed like this. Thanks for the heads up!!!   17. Thats cool...w/ shipping and all...it might b cheaper for me to get it here in Canada..im in Ontario. I thought bout asking the local fab shop to get some work done. Bet they ae BIG $$$$ tho eh??? tye
  18. those kyb rear shocks are probably too short, probably for stock replacement with no lift. I did a lift on my 01 last month and i have lots of info/specs if you want em..i think i might even have some stock and longer shock lengths and specs. Tye Of course cant locate them right this second darnit...
  19. thats nice and neat...i have a ? tho...does it seal tight against your hood and such??? and if it does...did you remove the stock air/water reservoir thats under the airbox? (that plastice tubular thingy thats in the wheel well and the front fender. In my 01 its very restrictive with the airflow..only series of small holes for air to come in!!! Tye

  24. Oh Y...most importantly...i wish i saw the thread first but..............FIFTEEN INCH RIMS ARE TOO TIGHT TO THE CALIPER.........I wish i had read that thread B4. The grinder came out NUMEROUS times to stop my calipers from rubbing and my brakes are quite worn!!!!! Tye
