  2. On a little side note...a few years back Canada celebrated a big birthday 125yrs. Big celebrations planned for months. DO YOU THINK I COULD FIND ONE SINGLE TSHIRT, SWEATER, COAT, ANYTHING AT ALL THAT WAS MADE IN CANADA??????? NO FREAKIN WAY!!!!!! I wanted a souvenier shirt or something to commemorate the year! I found NOTHING and was really PISSED off about it!! Made in China and Bangladesh...but said happy birthday Canada, and Happy 125 How ironic eh? Tye

  10. One thing ill add...when i did mine, i bought lifetime guarentee...they didnt come with cotter pin they came with nylon locking nut instead. The ball joint would turn before i could get it torqued down tight enuff. When i test drove it, it still clunked. Put it up on jacks, wiggled tire, had play in ball joint, manual suggested worn out knuckle (oval hole to receive ball joint stud) When i went to replace the whole knuckle thats when i noticed the one new BJ wasnt tight. I had to use a "C" clamp to clamp the BJ down in its seat to get eneff resistance to have the BJ nut torqued to spec!!!!! STUPID NYLON NUTS!!!! tye

  14. When i sourced out my parts for the lift i found Kyb strut and shock pckgs for 185-200 bucks!! Dont know how good the rear shocks are (most people get different/longer ones) but, if your not going to lift it, could work for you. In Canada the Kybs are 119-189 EACH STRUT!!! plus the shocks. Just keep in mind that if lifted you should get a shock with longer travel too. The part #'s are available all over!! I even have some specs here for some more popular brands...length, etc! I put on heavier quality parts/lift because i am wheeling and camping with my Pathy! Im not an expert or a Mech, but ive gathered lots of info, mostly from this site, over the last year. tye

  16. I thought that was pretty cool...i wanna go on the next one!!!! Tye
  17. ive been running my 31x 10.5 x15" M/S at 32-35 on road and 15-20off road (no on board air) and ive noticed a little extra tread wear in the centre...i like the more resonsive feel with the stiffer tire but fear uneven wear! Tye
  18. I LIKES THE NISSAN FIS commercial...my T-shirt says "boobies make me smile"...its tru, says so on my sig!! Tye BTW Thanx for finding it!! lol
  19. hope im not sticking my nose in wrong here but...i thought about an adj. Pan hard rod. I can notice my rear end slightly askew...Heres my ????? can you just lengthen the rod to compensate for lost length when you lift w coils or sfd OR does the bracket have to drop to keep the Pan hard rod level/parrallel??????? The two connection points frame/axle, create a Z pattern and when lifted or sperated the axle gets "kicked" to the drivers side!!! Right or wrong?? Tye
  20. the independent front suspension on the pathyfinder was designed for more ON road handling...a solid axle is more benificial OFF road for tuffness and increased articulation (flex) Also the multi link rear suspension on the pathy was an engineering marvel of sorts in the early days..I dont think its changed much either. I dont have any personal experience with the cherokee...a friend has an older one he BEATS the YKW outta all the time, and its his daily driver!!! Dont tell anyone but...i knda like the looks of those year of cherokees, especially beefed up with tires etc!!! Thats just my opinion...im not an expert! Really i dont know anything!!! But I love my PATHFINDER MOST! Tye

    starting off

the two major suspension replacements for our rides lift it 2" and 1.5" (4x4parts.com/Old Man Emu) you could fit 32" no prob with spacers or Rims with the right backspacing...I have 31x10.5" and there isnt alot of room between the bottom of the strut and the tire (1" or so) anything bigger and wider would need to be pushed out further with the spacers or rims! Then you might have to start a little trimming around fenders, removing flares etc. Its a finicky thing...i wouldnt suggest getting 15 " steelies...mine rubbed on the caliper and i had to grind it...stick with the 16 rim if you can!! Tye
