if i remember correctly from my '98 pathy, it's the same as my '00 pathy: you can only adjust the vertical aim. to do this, you're supposed to use a specialty tool, but a narrow straight-edge screwdriver will work just as well; the longer the better. take a flashlight and look straight down from above your headlight. there will be a little slot with guide tabs and a metal cog thingy. just stick the screwdriver in between the tabs and turn it against the cog. i don't remember which direction makes the headlight assembly go up or down, but you'll figure it out.

i was surprised to find that shipping for all three R50 skids (front/center/rear) was only $75.
-
gonna cry about it?

oh. i thought sarcasm was meant to be pleasant. as far as I know, my titan's size was more a hinderance, than the locker and clearance was an advantage. but to each his own. you obviously enjoy your truck, and in the end that's all that matters.
-
just picture any other lifted Titan you see on the highway. seriously though, my titan was an awesome truck, but I couldn't justify another truck. I'd rather beat on my pathfinder, and the Titan wasn't the most practical daily driver.
-
yep, that's why I see lots of full-size trucks at moab. gotta love the long overhangs and long wheelbase. the R50s have the underpinnings of a great trail rig, but almost no aftermarket support. but i'm glad you agree the Titan wasn't built for wheeling. unfortunately it took $40k and a Pro-4X for me to figure that out.
-
depends how quickly you get through the water. it takes a little bit longer to flood the interior, than it does the engine bay.
-
because it's a full-size truck. but to be more specific, it wasn't made for the type of off-roading we do down here: rocks.
-
the titan diffs aren't nearly as bad as the 05-06 Xterra/Fronty. regardless, nissan fixed that problem in the 07+ models. the Titan diffs never really had these issues.
-
which brings me back to my previous point: that sure is a lot of money for 190wtq.
-
the titan wasn't made for off-roading.

bore/stroke would be 1:1 everything would be custom anyway, so you could put your wrist pin as high or low as you want.
-
how are you planning on stroking the VG33E by 6mm? are you doing offset rod journals? are you having a custom crank built? why are you only boring to 92mm? the VG33E has very thick cylinder walls and you can easily bore to 95mm; maybe even more as long as you're not going with any boost/nitrous. and while you're at it, get a custom crank built with more than +6mm stroke. if you're going to do it, do it right. 95x95mm = 4.0L

everyone knows AC overcharges on shipping.

i always use my parking brake, even on level ground; i use it to lock the rear wheels when breaking the lugs lose. i also always forget to release it when removing the drum. what i meant by setting the parking brake, is to make sure you adjust it properly so they actually do hold the vehicle. since i bought my pathfinder, i haven't replaced the rear shoes. i've replaced the front pads probably a dozen times or so. they just don't wear very quickly. the last time i had the drum off, i saw i was getting close, but i won't worry about it until i can hear it.
-
the front gears are reverse cut, not the rear. why do you want rear gears? you either have 4.3s or 4.6s. you can get 4.9s out of an Xterra, or you can do 5.13 aftermarket.
-
how much did it cost you to bore out the center holes in your Titan wheels?
-
that's just surface rust. don't worry about it.
-
or they only carry the black.
-
you can get replacement front tow hooks from 4x4parts.com and use a shackle in your hitch. you could remove the ball and mount the shackle in the hole, or buy a special hitch that slides into the receiver. personally I just use a 5/8 grade-8 bolt to secure the strap eye inside the receiver itself.

i don't have All-Mode 4WD, but if the auto hubs are vacuum-actuated, you may be hearing the vacuum pump.
