  1. i think it looks awesome! but if it were me, i'd paint that diamond plate gray or black. is this the same bumper as before, just with some small changes? what do you do with your other/older custom bumpers?
  2. ya, a winch is definitely not going to fit on that, nor is the bar capable of withstanding any type of winching load...
  3. i watched it also... if only i was as good of a welder as the show makes the host seem to be , i would have some nice pretty rear control arms like they ones he fab'd up today! i'll be tuning in next week to see if they include the truck again.
  4. stock is 255/65/16 on a '00. it says it on the vin plate inside my door jam.
  5. yep. i think a 245/75 is about as tall as a 265/70 which is what i'm running now. i too am planning on getting Revo's when my crappy Pathfinder-brand (Discount Tire Co) wear out.
  6. 2 months ago i got a recall notice in the mail about a leaky fuel filler hose. they said the rubber can deteriorate with prolonged exposure to cold and subsequent salting of the roadways. it was free to get it inspected, and of course free to fix as needed. i live in texas and didn't have that problem, but if you have a late-model R50 (i have a 00), it may be something to look into. free repairs ftw
  7. 245/70, 255/70, and 265/70 will all fit on your R50. i have 265/70 on my 00 pathy
  8. my 00 pathy has stock wheels: sooo, if anyone wants/needs the two center caps that i took off, pay for shipping and they're yours.
  9. so how did your install go? i just finished installing a set on my 00 pathy. it took about 25min start to finish for both sides. just pop off the center cap. then pop off the dust cap (it's not nearly as difficult as everyone makes it out to be). remove the 6 bolts that bolt the flange down. remove lock ring with lock ring pliers or needle nose pliers. remove flange by grabbing with vice grips or channel locks (i used the latter). then to install the hubs, just reverse the steps. tighten to specification. you don't even have to remove the wheels; at least, i didn't have to on mine.
  10. you should be able to get a trailer wiring harness for your pathfinder from wal-mart, target, or uhaul for <$20. it's actually really simple. you just splice into your existing tail lamp wiring. the most time consuming part of the installation is removing the bumper trim to hide the wires, and to route the wires between the steel bumper and plastic bumper to skin, for the cleaner install. overall it should only take about half an hour, and that's being generous. your pathfinder should have 5 wires going into the signal converter, which then outputs to a flat 4-way connector. the converter will convert the separate inputs for brake and turn signal, into a single output for the trailer because it uses the same bulb for brake and turn signal, while the pathfinder has a dedicated bulb for each circuit. any generic 4-way flat connector designed for vehicles with separate brake and turn signal lamps should work on your pathfinder.
  11. the bumper is the ARB Sahara. average market price is $1200 plus freight shipping.
  12. i have a 2000 pathy that i'm about to put a wincher on. won't have any use for the OEM bumper. it's this color: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v159/alexf20c/DSC04524.jpg for an OEM bumper skin from nissan it's $250, so i don't know if it's worth it for you to buy my used bumper. it is in great condition, with two minor scuff marks from where the factory grille guard rubbed, but will have to be shipped ($$) to you and then repainted ($$$). it may end up costing just as much as a new one, with far more hassle. another good place for a new bumper is a pick-a-part or salvage yard. lots of the salvage yards inventory their parts, so you can just call them to see if they have the part, instead of actually driving to the place. chances are the part will be damaged, but it's worth a shot to see what's available locally.
  13. what size are the lamps? is it a universal fitment? for $330 (or even much less) i can probably get a set of fogs that fit just as well, but perform even better..
  14. heh, it sure is difficult to properly and accurately convey sarcasm through mere text. i guess we have the same brash sense of humor. either that or we both need to use more smilies... i can see how my "we'll see who gets theirs first" comment would naturally have a negative (and not humorous) tone. as for the bumper. i ordered mine specifically on the 22nd of april, and they told me 6-8wks, which correlates perfectly with you ordering 2wks after me, and being given a delivery estimate of 4-6wks. it's funny though that the "other one" your 4WP salesman mentioned was mine. i would say it's a small world, but it's really not - not on an international internet forum. when my salesman spoke with ARB in michigan, they told him that their last one was sold not even a week before i ordered mine. it's not a high-demand item so they don't keep many in stock. if i had ordered one week before i did, i would've had mine at my doorstep in 4 days. instead, i have to wait pretty much 2 months! ugh and i actually requested them to not deliver to my house, because my work schedule is so hectic. i work 12hr shifts at the hospital, so it'd be easier for me to just pick it up at the store. one more thing: it's stupid that the fog lamps are not included with the bumper. do you think only the IPF fogs will fit/mount? did you order the IPF lights, or are you going aftermarket or none at all?
  15. they told me early june, so i expect it to get here early june. my salesman calls me every week with detailed updates so no i'm not holding my breath. and i really couldn't care less about how much you paid, whether it's more or (probably) less than i paid. i don't mind paying extra to buy from a reputable corporation with the convenience of a store 10min away, instead of having to deal with them over the phone should there be any complications. plus, my local store sells it for considerably less than every online/local retailer, and they aren't charging me for shipping from michigan to houston; they have to ship it regardless, so they're even shipping it directly to my house. but ya, i should've spent those extra few days calling dozens of places, just to save a few hundred bucks. that would be perfect, because then i could use that money to pay for the freight! /sarcasm
  16. i ordered an ARB bumper for my 00 Pathy about 2 weeks ago, and it's slated to be ready to be picked up at my local 4WP store in early June. let's see who gets theirs first! anyhow, i plan on installing the recessed fog lamps in place of the current fogs. i'll most likely just snip off the old harness and splice it in. i don't know how many amps the circuit is fused at, but i doubt the new IPF lights are that much more powerful, considering they are fog lamps, and aren't that incredibly powerful. if all else fails, i will wire directly to battery and use their supplied relay, but still use the stalk switch like normal. i also plan on adding some additional lamps (IPF 960?) and again will not follow the directions. i think they want me to wire it into the hi-beam circuit, but i want to be able to use them independently of all my other lights. i'll probably use the same switched power (i.e. it's only powered when the key is ON) as the headlights, but have the ground switch (the control) separate and capable of turning on/off the additional lights, regardless of the headlights/fogs being on or off. the most important part is to not wire directly to battery; if you did, the circuit would always be live and it opens the possibility of leaving them on when the truck is off.
