just throwing this out there... my frame side sway bar anchor sheared off the other day and it makes some tapping noise. I guess its time to remove it for good this time. wiggle your sway bar and see if it does it?

later on the HB's moved to a 28 spline. I don't remember which year they switched but I shipped some to an r50 guy not to long ago. keep in mind if you buy the warn; the ring that comes with a new unit is stonger than the optional "breakable" ring that has to be bought separately.

I don't know about the R50 but my stock skid bolts right up to my buddies 01 Xterra and vise versa.

x2 not being able to ajust the T-bars because its not a stock tire size is a load of crap! the #U*k!ng dip$#!t has no Idea what the stock size was esp since pathys came stock with anyting between 28" and 31" tires! Mine Came with 31" tires... recently I got new ones on CraigsList and the lazy tire shop tried to tell me I got the wrong size and they wouldn't install them. I told them its the same size that was already on there he tried to give some other exuse an I told him he wants to sell me new tires so he can make more than just labor and then I went to another shop.

IMO you should get a VG33 (similar priced) and re-build it. Use a 3.0 crankshaft, oil pump, water pump, cam-gears accesories/accesory brakets and all electrical stuff. It WILL bolt right up and you'll be 10% stronger and 2mpg better.

x2 p.s. I have OEM Nissan Hardobdy hubs. I have heard they are the strongest but really I got em for 25 bucks @ a JY in nearly mint condition. something neat about warn; they make an interchangable spine ring that is designed to break before your cv's do. the "breakable" ring can be installed in 5 min and is replacable on the trail. I don't see myself putting that much load on a CV(still open diff up front) but its a good thing to have for locked diffs and abusive terrain.

I belive so unless you wanna spring for the calmini steering system. But even if SLR and L&P were still arround I would still say that hoohaa is the best bang for buck centerlink and when paired with a good idler brace I wouldn't reccomend anything else.

get a catarpillar tractor form a heavy equip rental and yank that pathy out.

the vg30i came with a similar too, I have one, but its even shorter than the short one pictured in the spark plug link. this may be because after taking the air box off your are allot closer to the plugs than the later vg30e where you have to reach thru the manifold.

IIRC some pathfinders have a little square box that appears to be mounted immediately in front of the wiper motor(under hood US passenger side firewall) I don't know the workings but I would assume that since it is baslically attached to the wiper motor it has something to do with the intermittent system. My pathy doesn't have intermittent and doesn't have the box otherwise I would try and verify that for you.

I think you'll also need the little box that sits on the whiper motor. the 2 speed whipers dont have it.

A new OEM clutch would be the best way to go. The factory pathfinder clutches could take way more than what centerforce has to offer for the pathfinder.

the only time I heard somone having trouble with thorely and tranny was an 87 3 spd auto and i cant remember who it was or what forum

you could suck the spring down about .5" with spring limiters and see if it tops out as hard...

make sure you use 300zx turbo studs. Most dealers give you that instead of pathfinder studs cause the original studs were inferior. getting my stock maifolds out was tricky, I slid my thorley longtubes up there for test fit without too much difficulty but there is a bit of welding involved; #1 primary and the crossover pipe. I had broken an EZout in the head so I had a mechanic finish the job. for the 90 and later the thorleys are short tubes. I belive the primaries are already done so all might need welding is the crosover pipe. being that they are short tubes getting them in there and bolting the pipes @ wheel height well instead of under the vechile might more difficult I do not know, but somone else here should.

what are you trying to do? Differant gear rations? manual swap? whats the amigo got that the pathy don'T?

how are its street manners? with the triangluion and the johnnys. how about over 70? I may want to do this one day but I still wanna be able to do road trips with it. p.s. since I won't be doing triangulation anytime soon; I was wondering if you had any plans for your panhard drop bracket? I was gonna make one @ work but if if you don't need yours...
