I am currently running the dummy box mod and it eliminated my issues with the idler arm..... I was running a Calmini idler arm brace, but it was short lived due to the arms wearing out, even in the brace... Never seen the Calmini complete system up close and personal, however I am not a fan of the brass bushing design, due to having experience in machine work/maintenance and replacing them regularly. That last idler arm is BEEFY. I like the looks of it, and if I had not already went through the trouble of doing the dual box mod, I would have sprung on that. Good topic Tung, I am curious to see how everyone chimes in...

Ripped out the junky old non working power antenna.... and replaced it with a new ugly rubber thing... Looked brand new... just didnt work and reception was terrible. Ugly little bastage... but hey at least I can listen to the radio now... Also scored some more parts for the upcoming SAS... Track bar, 2x brand spankin new BDS lift shocks, and a mini spool for the 44... All for $85 bucks. Woo hoo!

I have not had any issues out of the ones I got, which were the same ones I linky here: eBay HID's Not disagreeing with you, as the life of them will probably be shorter than OEM or some other high dollar units... however I have not had a single flicker, blown bulb, low voltage, over voltage etc issue yet and it has been a while since they were done...

I am quite baffled. Mine was a HUGE increase... so much so that the factory bulbs needed to be replaced after a little while of running them because one died...

Ebay has complete HID (high/low) kits with ballasts and all for around $39 shipped. Just did the wife's Altima... rather than buying ONE replacement from Nissan for $180 I got a complete kit for $39... LINK http://www.ebay.com/...=item4ab156604c

Yep, I am in the same boat on the arm rest's as mine are both toast. I figure that I will just pull off the ones I have and re work them with some new foam and vinyl... or worst case scenario take them to a upholstery shop...

One of these days I will re wire and eliminate the amps in mine. Nothing but trouble... I have thought about using the area where the stereo would be for a gauge cluster...

Okay...makes sense. I had to trim mine down about half an inch to get them to fit, but it appears that swapping the middle mount would put the rack out quite a bit more...I would be curious to know how it measures out...

The only thing I would be concerned with by using only one hole in the end...is how much weight it can handle... I use my rack all the time. Just had an itching to do the X mod...

I will have to look when I get home... I think I even saved the box ends for future reference.... For me it took a little bit of measuring... I work PT at AZ, and when we were slow one day I took the factory replacement for the Pathfinder and lined it up. with the equivalent 1 ton Chevrolet. I replaced the adjusting sleeve as well, because if I remember correctly it was quite a bit larger than factory...

Ahardbody... with that design would you still be able to utilize the X racks that go in between?

I am not saying that the AZ relays are any better then the factory relays, but I have not had an issue yet... And when I do, well its an easy swap...

Tung, was not trying to start a war man... I realize that opinions are like... well you know... That was just mine... I am running GM tie rods as well, mainly because they don't bend as easily as the Nissan equivalent...

I left the X emblem on their for the S&G factor, plus I am a member on several Xterra forums and they will get a kick out of it... All went well, took a few days of working on it when I could. I really like it! Thanks for your help brother! Nope... I have the sun roof... and it made for an interesting install...working on that part of my website now... LOL do you not realize that the Xterra is a WD22, born after the WD21? I know I know just giving you a hard time...

Uhhh yea, sorry dude but the brass sleeved bushing setup is what is ghetto...IMO. I deleted my idler arm and now run a dummy box (until I finish the SAS)... No issues whatsoever....matter of fact I have SERIOUSLY been hard on it, especially since I am doing the solid swap...it has held up through it all.. Ghetto, I think not!! Economical? Well it cost me $250 with 3 cores... still WAAAAY cheaper than Calmini ever thought about being...

The 30 and 40 amp relays I got from the Zone have worked just dandy...And I am always driving with the lights on...
