  1. James, your rack looks amazing (wink) No seriously, I like the xterra rack on the wd21. I need to take a day off and go junkyard hopping.... OUCH! Dude that is spendy... if your handy with a welder, just build you one! To each his own tho...and if you have that kind of green just laying around, more power to you! What part of TN man?
  2. Yep couldnt exactly recall what the ratio was, thus why I said if my memory serves correctly... As for 35's on the STOCK IFS.... I assume your not DD'ing this truck? Or you have already beefed it up? No argument that these are tough little guys, but from experience, and countless other members here... The weakest link is the steering components... Exactly why I had to replace all of my stuff with heavy duty gear, that has held up to some harsh punishment...
  3. Hey guys, I am down for one 3 pod pillar, with or without tweeter, doesn't matter to me. Just advise where to send payment, and yes I do want fries with that...
  4. Kingman- Great idea. I am guilty of over thinking everything. Must be the "educated B" in my head... When I get off shift tonight I will do just that. It still does not explain phantom power...and no, I do not have a stereo (or even a radio that works for that matter) in my truck... So no capacitor to feedback through...if that makes sense... The hazard light switch has not been replaced. I did however check it out of the vehicle and it works as it should, with low resistance etc. The part that I replaced was the flasher module, under the dash. I had a EP34 replacement flasher in my tool box, new in package. When I get off, I intend on finding the issue and fixing it, weather permitting.
  5. I believe you are correct sir... I am actually thinking of pulling the front seats and peeling back the carpet as that is where the majority of the harness should be.... may have to do some solder work to fix it...
  6. Yes, there is a guy here locally who has a boosted ka24 in a 2wd D21. Not that its super wicked cool or anything but it will white smoke the hell out of the rubber bands he has on it...
  7. Okay, still no luck as of yet. Have been chasing a ghost it seems, almost makes me wonder if I have a corroded or bad connection somewhere that I cannot see (maybe under the carpet etc.) Battery has been holding a charge, mainly because I have been disconnecting the ground lead when I am not driving it. With the ignition off I am getting 12.4 volts on the coil (control) side of the relay. Which theoretically it SHOULD be zero voltage there with the key off. Chased the wire to the fuse panel, and it has zero voltage there, with the key off... So as I am sitting here, scratching my head...(I hold electronics/low voltage and three phase licenses).... and I am feeling pretty retarded at this point... Voltage doesn't just disappear...then reappear... On another note, what is the "combination meter" listed in the FSP in regards to the turn signals?
  8. Understood, I can relate fully. Mine has 245K on it... I have been tossing around the idea of doing what Daver123 is doing... Goin with the 4.3 GM, automatic and 231 tcase... Carburetor instead of throttle body/cpi etc, with a one wire HEI distributor...no ECU to mess around with, no tuning....and parts galore for it... Planning on boosting the VH45?
  9. That makes sense, I like the idea. There would need to be an over ride of some sort just in case you lose power and need to coast, or if you purposely wanted to kill the motor and coast... (quietly)... Maybe we should move to a new thread so we are not hijacking Ryans... Already tired of the twin turbo VG30 eh?
  10. Ohhhh.... the solenoid idea is sweet...I have one that may just do the trick....would really suck if it failed accidentally....
  11. Okay... NOT a faulty relay. But because I wanted to cover all bases I went ahead and pulled it despite my experience with problems of these sorts...I Checked on the bench in a controlled environment as mentioned before, and put it into a donor vehicle for S&G and vice versa.... problem persists with either relay (one of which is new.) New issue arises... Now I have no turn signals... hazards worked for a short time, and then stopped working as well. Thing is, when you initiate a left of right turn signal you can hear the flasher module buzzing as if its only getting LOW voltage... Had an extra flasher module in the tool box (new in box) and swapped it out, same scenario... Came inside since I could no longer feel my hands...or feet...or nose... Tomorrow I will start chasing voltage with a meter...
  12. Thanks for the input guys. I have been inside the relays and they both function as they should with voltage applied (outside of vehicle in a controlled environment). In the process of tracking down the "leak."
  13. Hey guys, ran into an issue with my 95 in the past 2 weeks. The dang battery kept discharging and would have to be jump started every morning. Every time I would connect the cables I would hear an audible CLICK coming the right fender well where the two black and blue relays are. (Intermittent and park neutral). For some reason these relays are staying in the OPEN position when the key is off, and draining the battery... I have done some searching and am coming up empty. The FSB lists the relays in the component location sectionn but I am unable to determine why they would stay on when theoretically with the key off there should be no power getting to them... Any ideas? (I just replaced the battery, and when I connect the ground I hear the same click. No discharge issue with the relays removed.)
  14. Get ready to beef up your IFS... Sweet. I would love to get my hands on one of those... Amen to what you said. Been there a time or two, fixing a problem that could have been prevented if someone would have simply done it right and replaced the dang bolts...
  15. Air horns on a sentra!!! So a douchebag in a Mercedes cuts you off, and you scare his pants dirty....with a simple push of a button... AWESOME...
  16. I agree with what you are saying, I guess I am just overly anal about it... The last trail ride I was on we had a guy in the group who had a C02 cylinder, small in size, said he bought it from 4WP. It had a coiled line and gauges regulator etc. He kept having to put air in one of his 40 inch TSL's, and must have done it probably 20+ times. That cylinder held some serious air.... probably in the scuba pressure range. I figure that might be a viable investment, but if you ran out you would be screwed. Not sure how they fill those tanks up, but the local FD has a compressor to do their SCBA tanks....(I am thinking out loud here...)
  17. Lookin good bro. I like the two tone design... I have had a few gallons of bed liner sitting in my shed for about a year now.... have been intending on doing that forever it seems just have yet to have time. Now it makes me want to do it even more! How much did that alternator set you back?
  18. That article was very biased. Crazy. I have owned a few WARN winches, but I traded or bought them CHEAP. I couldn't afford one NEW. As for the "Harbor Freight failed prior to test" sorry man doesn't compute. If it REALLY did, all they would have had to do is check the connections, (mine had loose solenoid nuts.) or at worst return it for a new one. Bull crap like that makes me hate the world even more...lol
  19. I wasn't knocking your design bra, I personally like it... to me it is more protected INSIDE then outside... Yes, we used a fork lift to hold it while we mounted it up.... Although it was only 4 feet wide...
  20. Yep cool idea... Ive seen the tube bumpers done as tanks before. I like the idea of having air on the trail, but a compressed air bottle that holds an ungodly amount of PSI works just the same and is not as space needy....I dunno...im tired and typing...not a good combo.
  21. Ryan has a good point....if it is vacuum, I would stay away from it... hard as crap to find workable parts for one...
  22. Stock wagoneer, or a stock pathy? The initial post is a bit confusing...or I am just tired one... If its a wagoneer, jump on it. You can scrap what you dont use for MORE than you paid... If its a stock pathy, still a good deal if your wife/significant other wont mind it sitting somewhere so you can rob parts off of it...
  23. Hmmmm....next day off I am going to go rob a HB of its precious E brake!!!
