  1. it only works with a manual tranny.
  2. lol.. it's freaking hot and i am finally dealing with this one.. the part for 4x4 MT 31" tires is 25010-74P-01 (-00 for the smaller stock ones) and $162 at the dealer. autozone has a replacement ones for $64. the sensor itself doesn't want to budge as of yet. i'm soaking it and will deal with tomorrow.
  3. yeah, the pump is probably the top suspect but i'd check and see if you have pressure in the lines, first.
  4. did you pull the dipstick and check the ATF condition? do you have the external cooler mod?
  5. count the teeth between the cams. 40 teeth between the top sprokets and 43 between the LH sproket and the crankshaft sproket
  6. yeah, i've never heard of it. many use redline though.
  7. yeah, most likely anyway. follow the lines from that cooler and see where they end up. the stock lines go to the side of the regular radiator where there is an integral cooler for the AT.
  8. general crapper, one might say.
  9. best place to check for that is your onwer's manual. if you go with redline, why change it so often? it is designed for a longer change interval.. same with all the synthetics.. otherwise save your $ and go with conventional dyno oil.
  10. he could loosein them 1-2-3-4-5-6 and be just fine too, no? and here is my advice... :sea... ah, never mind. mws, "a con rod bearing" huh? it could just be a bad crank bearing.. that would surely make it knock (slap)
  11. TMI buddy. good job giving it a few different tries. that's how you do it... woot!
  12. hey, search around the forums because for some reason there was issues with the correct spline count.
  13. i don't recall any issues with the Warn ones.
  14. maybe they are too far out, is my point.. something isn't catching right if the gate is sticking out too far.
  15. and i am guessing you didn't pull the dipstick? what's the ATF looking like? that's where i'd start before any of the other hassles. as to moving the tranny, yeah, you go it but it's a B. these trannies are freaking heavy as hell. rent a trans. jack. it makes this way, way easier. since this is a 4x4 you also have a TC (see below) to deal with.. it will have to be separated from one of the places.. either the tranny or the front diff. at 130+ the tranny could also be toast especially if you don't have the external tranny cooler modification. that's how it "sounded" when mine went on the old truck. btw. around here TC = transfer case. since we hardly talk about the torque conv. make up your own short. maybe tqc or something.. eh?
  16. get both and another set of rims. use the ATs for your commute and MTs for offroadin'.
  17. lol.. i just came accross tha in my truck and was kind of wondering myself. i do have a disc changer wired in too and that seems to be the way the signal comes and is combined with the outside antenna. the thing is that there is an adapter on my antenna cable that goes from one prong to two, iirc, before joing the changer and then there are couple of other dapters in those lines.. it's kind of a mess but at least it's not a bunch of tiny speaker wires.... hmm.. walmard you say? i still may have to get another one to go back to one prong if i want to keep the changer. lol black jagger.. as the truck age the stock amps tend to go and most choose to bypass them.. i may have to also.. i still need to do a little bit of testing before i junk my stock receiver with tape. can't beat the tape on jarring terrain..
  18. there are no usual leak places on these engines.. the tightest motors i have ever seen. where is thaty bypass hose (slick's)? could be that too if it's on the same side.
  19. that's my first guess too. could be shock or something like that too. you'll have to pull and push on the suspension to see what may be loose.
