  1. nah, you shoul dbe fine with a good year unless they had a bad year. same as simon on the seals here.
  2. yeah, start with the codes as that's most likely will tell you what's up.. could be many things otherwise.
  3. NGK! i stick with japanese parts in my japanese vehicle.. i use german parts in my kraut mobile.
  4. i can see that as the fluid is pretty dark, even after multiple "pump the pedal" flushes.. hmmm.. thanks
  5. it's leaking because of the synth oil cleaned everything up, including old plugged up holes in gaskets.. change it back to regular dyno.
  6. i don't know.. they are a little soft but i haven't been able to figure why. they work though.
  7. i'm sure you can find a dual use for that thing, no? :D
  8. i have 31" muds on stock steel rims and it's darn hard to make an emergency stop.... very hard. when empty, i can barely lock them up... if loaded, not even close.
  9. yeah i'd probably walk away or work them way, way down. the whining could be the differential also.. it could be something else alltogether.. hard to tell without seeing it in person.
  10. crank down the t-bars.. get new coils. or just enjoy the toyota like ride.
  11. yup.. i normally tighten the hub nut.. then spin the wheel forwards and backwards to seat the bearing.. then retighten if need be. hammer and punch or flat head screwdriver works well.. no problem reusing the snap rings either.
  12. welcome. 1. if you have the dough, change them all.. their design life really isn't much, if any, over 100k mi. 2. castle nuts should be fine. snap rings on bj's? i am not familiar with this r50 setup. someone will be along shortly to give you a better answer.
  13. fusable link? are you getting juice at the relay?
  14. that code must be something that is stored in the computer since the CEL is not on... i'd say it's old.. not sure if any of that has any effect on the emission test as we don't have those here. thank god.
  15. my first thought is the MC or you just have leak in the system somewhere. iirc mine, when it went, didn't leak externally. just the soft pedal where i'd lose all the power.. i'd say less then the 50% you think you may have.. did you pump the pedal and was there any difference? oh, hope you re-bled the system after loosining and opening things in it. one more thing. how are the front rotors and have you ever changed the hoses at either end.?
  16. ^^^ then you're still off somewhere. it should be smooth, like baby butt, (lol) whn in time.
  17. the money is just an excuse man.. the mentality of FS folks is that less people the better anyway and that's not their mission at all. not according to their own mission statement.. it never was. enviro lobby is extremely well funded and organised.. plus there are also powerfull individuals that tend to do things that are kind of out of the spot light. big money hurts us all just as much as anything.
  18. yeah, pretty sure they are different. for answers about the front suspention, please search as there is a ton of info about that and many, many other topics on this forum. enjoy
