  1. if turned on, it makes the tranny shift at higher points. good for towing or big hills but not really for highway driving. try it sometime.
  2. oooh.. dirty girl..

    yup, i b s talkin' ya. lol

  3. check them. it's probably just the new pad grinding on an area that maybe rusty or what not.. around the edge but i'd still check it.
  4. is it the driver or is the vehicle? i seem to go places lifted trucks have problems with. the LSD is noce though.
  5. hub bolt you have to seat so read the instructions. at the end it's basically hand tight. rotor bolts are somewhere in the 80-100 or so. i never torque anything unless it's on the engine.
  6. i'll say you need new hoses and the calliper for the other side; never do just one. you said you check to dee if there was fluid coming from the hose, was it dripping? did you depress the pedal? how did you check this?
  7. zone loaners are free; no idea about the others.
  8. check the t-stat first. check the fan, clutch and belts. could also be big air bubble or blockage... any hoses twisted or kinked severely? are u losing any coolant? fix the temp gage or install an after market 1. fuel: there could be delivery issues if you are overheating. you'll never know for sure though unless you have some kind of a gage.. just 'doesn't seem hot' doesn't really mean anything.
  9. there aren't really any tricks to the brakes with callipers. drums are a bit more involved but not callipers.
  10. pick up a heynes manual for these simple tasks. it's quick and easy and do the hoses man; your pistons could be out and stuck due to them originally and not necessarily due to rust although i am sure that's what's holding them out there now.
  11. IT'S NOT HARD AT ALL TO EITHER REPLACE THE CALLIPERS WITH REMANUFACTURED ONES OR EVEN REFURBISHING THE ONES YOU HAVE. MAKE SURE TO PUT ON NEW HOSES THAT LEAD TO THE CALLIPERS AS THEY DETERIORATE ON THE INSIDE AND YOU WOULDN'T KNOW IT WHEN LOOKING FROM THE OUTSIDE. THSI COULD BE THE SOLE REASON FOR THEM BEING JAMMED.
  12. i can't think of one thing that'd get you to 2.6mpg without some kind of a leak or idleing for ever and still running smooth. maybe you put in $5 worth on 5 gals? that's still be bad milage but way better then what you supposedly got.
  13. i don't think you're mistaken. i can't think of any scenario where 5gals would be used up in such a short run, thus the leaky tank Q. maybe you have a leaky hose somwhere man. there is no way you burnt that much. top fuel drags don't even burn that much. lol
  14. yeah i get my power from the battery. remember that the lights are actually wired through the switch on the wand. i am pretty sure there is no relay for the headlights. yeah, in most states it is illegal. i run my spots with brights on dark 'remote' drives and have never had an issue and actually i flushed out a cop a week or so ago but he didn't bother with me. it maybe that our law only forbids more the 4 'head' lights.. http://www.offroad-ed.com/ but if you want to find out use the search function. there is a topis or two about how to go about it.
  15. cel light on? leaky tank? does it run like crap?
  16. oh, @ 75mph i'm at least 3500rpm. at80 i'm close to 4k
  17. i'd say that i depends if this is your DD and if you actually drive a lot in traffic and if shifting would drive you bonkers i actually find this to be the opposite. i get the best milage in town. i crank 3000+rps at 65-70. my 5sp seems to be geared for slower speed then highway. yes but it is much easier to deal with on serious rocks. no clutch to burn. lol but my 5sp crawls (powerwise) better/easier in 4lo then the auto ever did. i seem to get stuck way less then all my buddies with powerful Xs but also all with ATs
  18. come on guys, he's an artist. lol
  19. lol. i was about to suggest to him to get out of the truck and go for a jog or something. seems everyone has advised him of the proper next step though. good job fellas.
  20. yeam man. never heard of this code. you may want to google as i found a load of links related to this. good luck and do keep us posted please.
