  2. so the honda one fits, eh? keep us updated.. sound like a good deal. :cool2:
  3. ? lol.. i dunno, that's the only fluid i never changed on the truck because i couldn't find gl4 anywhere around here.. it did look ok though (about a year ago.) i'll have to look for the PO's paperwork.. i think it was done at a lube place or maybe a dealer.. i can't remember and i have no clue what i did with all the papers.. the weard thing is that the dealer told me that it's ok to use any old gl oil... theirs is gl5.. i am pretty sure... but it is Nissan so it may have a little different formulation but at $7+/bottle i decided to keep looking and researching..
  4. lol... animal that's exactly what it said on the visors of both of my truck, the 89 (RIP) and the 94.. except, i will check tomorrow, that it says 45mph.. and something about backing up 1m to unlock the hubs..
  5. the centrelink is the one that the tie rod assembly (where the red square is) attaches too
  6. so to sum is up: could be the e-brake or the pads/shoes sticking..
  7. shicks sound like they need attention.. could be other things.. tire pressure? or any suspention pieces ebing loose.. center link is probably about toast if not there already.. bjs maybe too.. i have gotten allignement before with things like that out of whack.. and they didn't even say a word to me.. i only found out later chasing same steering problems..
  8. 6x9 didn't wanna fit in my doors. probably could have made them fit with a whole bunch of fab work.. but i think the 6.5s will fit. open up the door (15min max) and see what may or may not fit in yours..
  9. i'll try to get you that tomorrow.
  10. it's been below freezing for three weeks here (in single dig. half the time) and my truck shifts just like it does in the summer... (unheated garage queen )
  11. topsider has been around for years and is rather popular and from what i understand it's pretty good. lot's of senior diyers seem to use them alot.
  12. How Four-Wheel Drive Works and 4wd-101
  13. yes it is and to dispell some of the myth being dished here:
  14. are you sure the tranny isn't toast?
  15. yeah, i asked you about the oil pressure a while back.. from that vid, one of the things i thought was the lifters or something.. my thought was that maybe the oil wasn't getting there. the oil pump is internal.. inside the oil pan.. i wouldn't assume about the cyl. pressures.. test them while you have the guage.. you'll have reference numbers for the future at least..
  16. good luck man.. i sure hope you figure it out..
  17. good idea about the shocks red. maybe call/email a parts house and find out?
