  1. pressure plate is worn out on your clutch (my first guess.) could also be low clutch fluid, or the clutch needs an adjustment. the second thing: could be crank positioning sensor or something along those lines... check ecu codes (sticky in the garage w/ procedures)
  2. btw. this was not a slant on you dj.. just a personal preference.. i think overall, you have to be commended for your efforts.

    Rust

you can call me that if that makes you feel any better but it doesn't read so straight forward as you say.. it really could be anything... the way i read it, dime size around the edges of the spot to include some clean area.. well, that could be half the roof..
  4. NPORA Nissan pathfinder off road association as opposed to NPOA Nissan pathfinder offroad association
  5. yeah, i agree and that's why i like this forum.
  6. next time use the brake slightly and it will engage
  7. btw. i have had this truck for like 3 years or something and so far i am still under 1k in costs (sans gas of course)
  8. if you look around the you can have the battery and belt for close to 50 bucks less. this is why you should learn to diy. tranny fluid and coolant for a hundred? holy cow, i can do that myself for like 30 bucks or something and less then an hour on my back. why new ac? the old one's bad? i am sure you can find that for way less.. e-bay maybe worth looking into my man..
  9. i'd be up for one if the offroad thing get's fixed and depends on the price.
  10. how is it going to burp if not running?
  11. could need adjustment on the selector.. or it's kaput... the cost is pretty high to rebuild these things but it rainges tremendously so who knows (1k->3.5k) if you can just go to your local junk yard and yank a pathy tranny, let us know where you live because most likely you have found the golden pot.. there are some out there though semi expensive but prob under 1k for the tranny... there are also japanese used parts importers but i just don't know if i'd trust a tranny from tokyo traffic.
  12. oh, that topic, not as beaten, is out there in NPORA lands also.. maybe time to revive it?
  13. running, definitely... sounds like this baby needs to burp badly.
  14. ok, i highly recommend you read about the cooler mods for the ATs.. you're approaching on a median time for the ATs to go if stock.. it depends who rebuilt the tranny the first time.. they should have installed the external cooly already but you knever know.. the other thing was that the replacement intenal parts needed to be modified and i don't think that many know of that.. as i recall i had pretty good power in higher bands but this ain't a v8 and my 94 is a stick so it's a bit different.. and i have never redlined it unless i forgot to shift.. LOL the reason i said all the above is because the redlining while shiftdown isn't normal.. i can see 4k maybe a bit more but not 6k.. something aint right and it maybe something easy.. i dunno.. run ecu codes.. all the info is in the stickies here or the garage.. if you don't see it, search and then ask away..
  15. should be the same lug.. my legos on the previous truck had the same lugs as the steel ones on the current truck.. something aint right man.. i don't recall one with the washer built into it on a nissan..
  16. hey teen! just bang your head against it until the noises subside..
  17. yeah it's all by model year which runs from july to july of the next year with 2 weeks break in the middle.. i am pretty sure if they were made in the previous cycle then they are of that not the next although they maybe marketed as newer.. one would have to check with their DMV to make sure.. not everyone is standard at all.

    Rust

they have to be 2 dimensional and i still just get the width.. but no worries mate... thinking they are small and what you said would work... i like to use the naval jelly stuff.. it works pretty well but there are also rust inhibitors/blockers that are really, really good. they immobilize the rust.. not sure what they turn it into but they turn in into something tough.. the por13 is super but very expensive.. never used it myself but my buddy painted the auto locking hubs on his X and they still look like new/v. shiny after almost a year of super heavy abuse while wheeling..
  19. orange sticker on the pumpkin.. or search the forii.. this has been beaten to death already.
  20. yeah, a bit.. it's pretty involved..
